- Bula’ia is a famous local comedian from Waimanalo. Seems like people really liked him or really didn't. Bula’ia aired on K5 between approximately 2010 - 2013 although these times are hazy at best because I am just taking a guess.
Anyways we got more of them so if you like them let me know.
I lived in Pearl City from '90-'95. I miss Bu La 'Ia

Instantly homesick. I used to have the DVDs. My dad gave em to me before i left to the mainland to join yhe army but I lost my them all years ago. Malaho cuz i cant find any place selling online. You ever upload the rest of them someplace??

@@SpotGoesHawaii I'm counting down the days, man! I figure there are three limits, one is the soonest I can get Social Security, at age 62, which is 5 years out. Then there's the age where I get the full benefit, $1000 or so a month as opposed to $750 or so, at age 66, which is about 10 years out. Then, there's how soon I can at least keep myself fed playing my shakuhachi, which I'm just a beginner at, but I might be able to in a 2-3 years.
You see, I'm making $15k a year and get to live in the warehouse I work out of, here on the mainland. I'm not living so much as I'm just surviving. I'm not able to save any money, and I'm not raising what I'd get from social security since I'm just going to get the minimum.
I am in "silicon valley" and the air quality and water quality here are horrible. I can buy bottled water, but I can't buy bottled air so much! It's about the same as being a smoker, and I've never been a smoker. So there's that factor too. So ... do I add 5 years or 10 years to my life by going home ASAP even if it means sleeping under a different tree each night? And how does effectively being a smoker help me as a shakuhachi player? I think not at all ...
I have two sisters in Hawaii, one of whom went to Punahou and one is married to a police chief on Maui, but they are Real Americans(tm) so I don't expect a penny from either one of them.
I have become a member of my local Jodo Shinshu Buddhist temple here in San Jose and a lot of the people there have family in Hawaii, so I may end up with someone to "land" there in Hawaii with when I'm ready to go home. I am trying to minimize my possessions and prepare to jump! The guy I work with is old and if anything happens to him I'm on the street, so I prefer to end up on streets where all my memories are.

Well, RUclips seems to be restricting viewing content on here unless you buy their "RUclips Prime" or whatever it's called, service. I may have watched my last RUclips content last night. Now I just get the black "loading" screen, and it was like this for hours yesterday too.
I guess what I'm saying is, I may not be able to watch your videos in the future, and you may do well to find a way to make a living that does not depend on the internet.

OK I fixed my U-tube problem - restarted my computer, didn't say it needed an update but apparently it did.
