Your are raising three happy, healthy, strong, intelligent, curious, independent women of the not-too-distant future. What a gift to them and to the world. Well done!
Oh Michelle, let me tell you about being a “horse girl.” That was ME! I loved horses from the first time I laid eyes on Silver, the Lone Ranger’s horse (back in the 50s). My parents got me a spring horse one Christmas. This was a big deal because I continuously begged, literally begged my parents to buy me a horse. If you know “The Lone Ranger,” you know the theme song (The William Tell Overture). When the show came on with that music, I would jump on that plastic horse and ride my heart out till the music stopped. My mom had that music on an album. She said that whenever she wanted me to come in from outside, she would play The William Tell Overture, loudly, and sure enough, here I would come bursting into the house to jump on my pony and RIDE like the wind! In high school, my dad finally got me a horse, I was 14. Let me tell you, all through high school, I spent nearly every waking moment at the barn (I boarded my horse). I never ever hung out with my classmates. I never ever drank or smoked or tried drugs. To this day, at 70 (on August 10 this year), I have zero vices. I sold my last horse in 2015 and haven’t ridden since, only because they have become unaffordable for me. No worries, my 17 year old granddaughter takes riding lessons so there’s that. Both my children, son age 43 and daughter age 49, learned to ride at an early age but never had a real interest. I apologize for this lengthy novel, but it was fun to share it. Perhaps our paths will cross one day as I bought a Casita which will be delivered to me in Wisconsin this September. Happy trails to all of you.
I have two sisters who are “horsie” I think we all loved the Lone Ranger! I wore jodhpurs but never had the deep desire to own & take care of horses. I had to take care of my sister’s horse when she went to England for a horsemanship program-for two years starting when I was 13/14yo. She is still training/teaching at 68 & our “little” sister still rides at 58yo. They married men who could afford their hobby (older sister also is an artist & taught school). My nieces both rides & one did post secondary training in equine management or the such. The older sister was always drawing horses…to the chagrin of her numerous art teachers! The horses my sisters had over the years have helped my kids not be afraid of large animals. If I could afford it I would have one but I’d be the one who would call down to the stables & say “I think I’ll ride today” and just maybe even groom it! But didn’t marry for money so have to settle for bicycles and a future RV to travel with
When your travels bring you back to Minnesota, I hope you can explore the northern part of the state. Completely different and so, so special… Itasca State Park which is the headwaters of the Mississippi River (you can actually walk across the Mississippi!)… Bear Head Lake State Park near Ely and the Boundary Waters (pristine!)… the north shore of Lake Superior has so much to see and do!
Can’t believe how big they’re getting! I’m glad you love MN but before you move up there (CA girl) make sure you like their winter! It’s a tad bit different from what you’re used to Lol.
Your girls are soooo cute! I always catch myself smiling as I watch them be children! Mine are waaaaayyyy grown and I miss them! Enjoy your girls for as long as you can!!! Thanks for another enjoyable video!!🙋✝️
Oh my gosh! I've been following you for some time now; what a great life! I'm so happy you discovered Lake Elmo Park Preserve! We live north of Stillwater and actually camp there sometimes in our fifth wheel with our grandkids because they LOVE that park! People laugh because it's so close to home, but they don't understand just what a great park it is, especially if you have kids. If you ever find yourselves up this way again without a place to park the airstream for a few days, we have room! Oh, and I was a 'Horsegirl' growing up! Loved the video.
That campground and playground combo remains one of our top favorites of all time. So nice to hear from you in the comments - thanks for reaching out! 💙❤️💚
Happy Birthday Linden! Six is a very good year! You are already a supreme bike rider! Girls with horses is awesome. Once Maple finds out how much fun it is, she will love it. Maybe a "social story" about it will help her transition. It will exercise the vestibular system and strengthen the upper core! I wanna go, too!
I love seeing the girls in nature... that's my favorite place to be.... Happy Birthday Lynden, and Congratulations Maple, Linden did you put that tooth under your pillow?
As mature as she is, I still wouldn't want her that far away. You have to go to the bathroom, take care of the other 2 girls, and you can't have your eyes on her all the time. It's just so scary in today's world. So different than when we were young. Great job on the bike riding! I recently got a folding bike to take camping, and I'm a bit wobbly sometimes. LOL
I got my grandkids Strider bikes when they were very young as well. When they got old enough for a pedal bike they jumped on those and, like your girls they immediately were able to ride. And to think I used to the Big Wheels were cool. 😁 Love the videos. Keep them coming! Tim and Bev
I love watching you and the girls I race three girls in my own now have a grandma to seven and a full-time RV someday I hope to meet you and your girls on the road
My family's original homestead was part of the Lake Elmo park. Minnesota is a great place to live. Oh, and I am an adult and I am scared of horses because they have big teeth. (I was never bit by a horse so its a weird fear. LOL).
If you are looking for a place to settle a home base, you really need to check out Wichita, KS. The most affordable and underrated city in the country. It's also the center of the country and you can travel in all directions. If you travel through, you need to check out Riveraide Park, our top 10 rated Zoo and Sedgwick County Park, and lots of great neighborhoods. You can get a fantastic house for $250-400k
I wish I knew you all were in MN. It would have been nice to have my three girls play with your three girls. I hope you do a meet up next time you are here!!
Your are raising three happy, healthy, strong, intelligent, curious, independent women of the not-too-distant future. What a gift to them and to the world. Well done!
Thank you!! 😊
You guys are awesome parents...thank you for sharing your beautiful family.
Thank you for being here ☺️
It’s so much fun watching your girls growing up. They are so creative and happy and very coordinated. Good job mom and papa.
Linden is all grown up, ready for her own apt. She knows how to do so much..🥳🥳
I won't be surprised to see her just riding a horse across a field someday.
Your girls are very fortunate to be living this life you’ve made for them. Well done parents!
Thank you Evelyn! ☺️

What a great story; thank you for sharing! You totally get it!!
A whole family of horse lovers! I love it. ☺️ Thank you for sharing.

Even if it's maybe a few weeks ago: Happy 6th birthday, Linden!
I really wonder.... if in a few weeks.... Olive will ride a bike! 🤯😂
I sure hope so! Then we could all go bike riding together!! 🚴🚴🚴🚴🚴😊

I think it would be the perfect place for a SUMMER house. 😁
Nailed it on the horse girls as a positive stereotype!! Strong independent and don’t care what everyone thinks!!
That’s me! You nailed it!
Absolutely! 🐴 💪🏼
That’s so great maple congratulations
She’s such an independent girl ☺️
Your girls are soooo cute! I always catch myself smiling as I watch them be children! Mine are waaaaayyyy grown and I miss them! Enjoy your girls for as long as you can!!! Thanks for another enjoyable video!!🙋✝️

Nature is the best! The tooth fairy gives out Lego sets nowadays 😊
Happy birthday to you, wow your doing what I did as little girls, that bought back memories ❤️
Thanks for being here Sandra ☺️

The folding bike must be a ton of fun at the campgrounds! ☺️
I got my grandkids Strider bikes when they were very young as well.
When they got old enough for a pedal bike they jumped on those and, like your girls they immediately were able to ride. And to think I used to the Big Wheels were cool. 😁

Tim and Bev
Those are the best! By the time they learn to balance, they're all ready for the power of the pedals.
Happy Birthday!
Thanks! 💙❤️💚

Hope to see you on the road sometime Lisa!

I can totally relate -- they DO have big teeth! :)
