Parallel = 2Q, Series = 2P. If you want to drain the bottle more quickly use parallel configuration.
2Q = ? 2P = P But I understand electrically they are connected in parallel but fluidal they are connected in series. Of course as in the last demonstration of that video. And yes I think also parallel (fluidal) would be quicker. What here happened is the pump near to "chamber" (the PET bottle) has to pump against a lower pressure which got generated by the second pump near the surounding atmosphere. But by design the leakage and pumps valves ability can't really mean suction of one plus suction of two means suction as a sum of both. If it is even possible by pumps of any design that way.
hi you if two of this pumps connected in series like on this video..will generate twice negative value? if one pump is -50kpa two of them in series will get -100kpa?

I used a small vacuum pump 12-volt to operate my 4 wheel drive on a old S10 pick up truck the vacuum actuator stop working !
When hooked up in series, they're still limited by the vacuum ability of the last unit in the chain. Far better results are obtained if hooked up in parallel.
do a video using this pump to do vacuum distillation . wonder how well it will work ?
when i start pump an air came out from pipe that suppose to be suck ? any idea why that happen? i try use this pump ti suck small seeds.

I'm afraid we don't have a figure for the MTBF of the pump. They should run for a long time though?

I bought one and powered with a 12v 8.3a power supply, but it works in jerks and not continuously...

Can be used as wet air suction aplication? (replace vacuum motor of a record cleaning machine similar to okki nokki), could the suction power be regulated trough a pressure gauge with liquid separator filter? My intention is use this kind of suction instead of usual vacuum motor.. Might this pump bé too much powerful or not? Thank you!
I have been using this pump for my laboratory experiments over a month. Pump stopped working as connections in the coil inside the metallic body loosened. What do I do now? If I dismantle the pump to arrange the connection, will the metallic cover fit in exactly later on? Or are there other alternatives?
Try it and see - never stripped one down to check.

Will the vacuum pump get damage if it continue to suck air from the bottle?
No and Yes! No it won't get damaged as such, as that is what it is designed to do. However it will wear out eventually! We have never burned one out though in any of our projects!
What are you using as a power supply and how long will the battery last before needing to be charged?

I recently bought one of these off of eBay. Hooked it up to a momentary switch and a 9v battery. It worked great, however the battery got extremely hot! What did I do wrong?
9v batteries aren't built for such large current draws.

cool video. I was kinda bumped to see that the pump won't hold vacuum when turned off, but I can take care of that with a check valve.

You'd need a pressure sensor attached to a control board and relay switch to make it easy.

Would one of these vacuum pumps do for a desoldering pump or would 2 in series be better? I'm making my own desoldering pump and any help would be brilliant! thanks in advance,
It may do. If you watch the product video, it will give you an idea of the vacuum produced. Try one.

Sorry bobhaha i never got round to it as i had so much work on, A friend of mine made a desolder pump out of a similar setup and it worked very well, But decent solder pumps arnt that expensive these days as i found out, theres a nice gun type out there that that Australian guy did a video on...evlog i think his channel is,
john porter I came looking for the exact same thing. I know It may not pull straight from the solder, but I want to connect it to a can, so It can charge a lower pressure and control it through a valve. :D
Can u use pneumatic mini air cylinders on that pump
I used a small air tank pressurized , and a normal closed electric solenoid with relay and motion activated to operate a Halloween decoration using air cylinder . check out Halloween video a lot of people use them for this idea good luck !

Every time i plug it to my power supply the power supply goes off
this pump draws about an amp. if you have a lesser power supply, it will crowbar. So the supply will shut down to protect itself. you need to get a beefier power supply, or if yours has an adjustable current limit, turn it up beyond one amp
