I have been feeding a flock of pigeons every morning for two years. They recognize my car, I feed them between 6:15 and 6:30. They are usually waiting for me on the roof of Nations restaurant. As soon as I pull up they start flying down. I put their seed in a circle so every pigeon gets some food. The flock keeps growing, pigeons just show up, last count was 25. I recognize everyone of them and have them all named. I love them, wish I could touch one. I'm going to try hand feeding them soon.
Awwww that little chirp from the adolescent. We had a pair nest on our apartment balcony and one day a massive hailstorm killed one of the babies and both parents. I raised the survivor and she'd make that noise every time I fed her. She eventually flew away upon adulthood, but whenever it snows she stops by for a visit and some shelled sunflower seeds and broccoli. Last time she brought a mate. I love pigeons !
A year ago, and just by chance, having thrown food out (that would have gone to waste) for robins that appeared in my garden I suddenly noticed I was attracting pigeons. OMG... I have grown to LOVE PIGEONS!!! Once you gain their trust they begin to reveal so many facets of their personality. Some of them give me goosebumps when I witness their behaviour!!! 😍😍😍
I keep coming back to this video to re watch it. Your birds are absolutely gorgeous and extremely well taken care of. Also just recently got your book and would recommend it to everyone.

I have a young pigeon I recently rescued from my workplace. She hates me but will tolerate sitting on my shoulder...I think only so she can poop down my back...... Are you tempting them with something especially tasty?

Do you have any tips on taming, I have let my team live their life and they don’t sleep inside they go sleep wherever they want, they used to be tame but now are pretty much wild .. my neighbours don’t like my team so I want to try and tame them again

RM COMPANY you could chop the peanuts into smaller chunks and try that. Or skip the seed and leave nuts and hopefully they'll eat them all up. I've only fed wild pigeons so I don't have any credentials.

I found one badly knee injury (broken) pigeon I cast which they Wild bird hospital euthanized the bird but I couldn’t give them for this reason now he sits in my New York home healing. He feels much better now he even has attitude bites me anything I put my hand in the his place but of course o don’t mind I try not to stress him

Connor Molella hi pls keep some dilute acid in pox after it becomes pale, pinch it off gently and keep a paste of charcoal, salt and turmeric

my birds refuse to eat peanuts, or anything other than just simple seed. How do I train them, when they do not like treats?
