The more you think about it, the more desperate the words become. He knew all too well, and he made it clear as day to us. Such a shame.
It hit me when he released Delusional Thomas mixtape (late 2013 I think) that he wasn't just talking about drugs/death as a general theme and that he was seriously addicted and couldn't stop.. like on watching movies he talked about this theme a lot but on delusional it was just more intense and then faces came out like 6 months later and solidified that he was deep in the addiction. I couldn't imagine how his team/fam felt hearing this music and then he drops perfect circle and let's us know that his whole team were so concerned after hearing faces that he had to go to rehab but I believe he only did that for everyone else and deep down he was not ready to change.. such a tragedy all around hearing a guy know he's slowly killing himself and yet can't stop the addiction
What's crazy is it didn't sound sad at the time, I was the biggest mac fan since 2010 and when this album came out I would just walk around my neighborhood smoking a j and playing it on loop really just brought me peace and calmness

This is an absolutely incredible piece of music. For me, this song is incredibly eerie sounding. The keyboard tone is so dark and scary, and the lyrics tie this song together amazingly. This is an absolutely incredible piece of music. For me, this song is incredibly eerie sounding. The keyboard tone is so dark and scary, and the lyrics tie this song together amazingly. A remarkably moving and memorable song, just makes you want to put up your hood and walk with your head down bumping to the beat. RIP Mac Miller, gone too soon.
