Love the look of those! The carbon fiber weave goes well with diffuser.
Thanks man! Appreciate the comment!
Hey, is there a way to remove carbon fiber cover and leave just a “titanium” looked pipes? 😅
No there is not. Its also not titanium underneath.
hey bro, did u buy 4 orders off of that link, or did u buy 1 order which contains 4 piece?
I believe it was the full set at the time. Granted, this was years ago.
How have these tips held up? 4 of these don't even match up to the price of 1 OEM from BMW so I am curious to see how the build quality is.
These have literally been perfect. They have held up just fine all through the winter. They even clean up nicely too. Highly recommended.
Love the M3!! Question though, Do all the F80s have the same exhaust dimensions? I saw a video where the inlet of the owners new tips ended up being smaller and wouldn’t fit snug around the exhaust. Just wondering if that could have been the case.
Also I do like how your tips stuck out the way they did, it kinda gives it more of an aggressive look to the car
Thanks! I think some F80's came with an M Performance rear section, so that might be the difference. Mine was a stock ZCP rear section. Its pretty easy to take the stock tips off and measure the diameter of the piping, before you purchase a new set of carbon ones.
Did you end up with a whistling noise on these under hard acceleration by chance? I just put them on my M240i and when I’m full throttle they make a loudddd whistling/screech noise from the exhaust gasses passing the holes (resonated part)
Nope - no whistling noises.
sounds like a leak homie
@@blizzwaldended up being caused by the tips being clamped too far forward on the tailpipe, the noise was incredibly loud. But I butted the ends up to the resonated portion and now its all good
@@auth.garage woulda sucked it if was a leak good thing u figured it out
Love the way your M3 looks w/the new M-tips. I just bought the same tips for my '15 Alpine White M3, waiting for delivery.
Just wanted to note that the pipes where the tips attach have a "guide stud/stop/nipple dealie"(technical term--no big deal) & I saw another vid where the owner used a reciprocating saw to literally cut that "guide stop" off, making it possible to mount the tips further back.
I'm not certain yet if I want to start cutting on my old F80, although because she is 8 model yrs old it wouldn't be a big deal---could use as excuse for new exhaust.
But, I was wondering if you guys had an opinion on that method.
You have a great setup & your M3 looks awesome w/those bronze wheels I saw in your other vid.
Love your M3 vids, keep up the great work.
Thanks! I thought about cutting the guides off too. Honestly, I think it would be fine to cut off. Older model M3's dont have guides and it isnt a problem. Its just an alignment thing so not completely necessary. I appreciate your comments!
@@accelerated_motion Thanks for the reply. Got my M- Tips in & will be installing soon. If my F80 doesn't have the guide-stops then that would be cool, I like it when it's easy, which isn't often enough.
Spring is here so, it's time for some cars & coffee action.
Thanks again & keep up the good work.
@@frankblacks.45 Good luck!
I have no m performance exaust, does it also works on stock exaust???
Mine was not an M Performance Exhaust - mine was just stock ZCP rear section.
Nice
Thanks
What was the total of all 4 of them?
The video description has a link to where they were purchased.
Hey bro, will these exact tips fit on my b58 340i???
Not sure. You should measure your tips
whats the size?
Did you watch the entire video? Info is in there.
@@accelerated_motion thankssss
How do I clean these tips?
Stainless steel polish for the hard to get off dirt. Otherwise, wheel cleaner works well for regular maintenance washing.
What is the length? I’m finding 90mm, 100mm, 105mm, and 120mm available.
Info is in the video. Watch at 2:00 minute mark
Why non of them starts their car so we can hear the sound🤦🏽
These are exhaust tips. The sound is not changing. Strictly for cosmetic appearance.
