    Thanks for this video. I'll be trying out the techniques next time I fish one of my local lakes here in Victoria, Australia.
    Cheers,

    With a Jon boat, generally due to no trolling, can a person get by with a smaller electric motor battery? I’m just gearing up and am kinda hoping not to buy a big Group 31 Lead Acid battery. So my question is can a person maybe look for a smaller battery or maybe a Lithium battery? If so, how many amp hours would ‘generally’ work for buzzing to a few locations to chironomid? Thanks.

    Very nice informative video im gonna be trying some cronomid fishin this year now ive hward verying opinions on using a strike indicator do u aways use one

      Thanks! We tend use strike indicators with them in our area. Sometime though we fish them on intermediate tip sinking lines just below the surface with a very slow, small strip. There are some anglers that will fish them on super fast full sink lines and get them as deep as possible on some of our local lakes.

    Do you have a video of how to tie a streamer for trout and how to use it?

    • @silverbowflyshop
      @silverbowflyshop  9 лет назад

      I haven't made any on how to tie streamers yet, I do have some basic videos on streamer fishing in the fall and the st joe that might help. Just scroll through my list of videos and you will see them.

    Thanks for the reply. Just one more. If I use it in river. Do I mend it down stream or upstream? Thanks again

    • @silverbowflyshop
      @silverbowflyshop  9 лет назад

      No problem, holler anytime you need help! Well them mend depends on the current. I would fish chironomids (midges) in a river just like most nymphs. Try to get a good drag free drift, no need to strip or retrieve in the river.

    Hi, can you use chironomid on rivers?

    • @silverbowflyshop
      @silverbowflyshop  9 лет назад

      You sure can. Often times the patterns are smaller in size, depending on the river. In rivers they will usually be referred to as midges. I find them very effective in the winter months and then in the late summer when other hatches slow down.
