    I wish the King would engage the KMA and the dept in charge of labelling territories to, as it were, properly name or mark these areas within greater Adum with their original and appropriate names to bring them to life and to perpetuate these names and the history of these territories in particular and of Asanteman in general.

    It’s about time #Nyansapo TV 📺 start to ask critical questions about how they were making shelters, how they came up with their foods during the time of war. And some questions like that because these teachers thought us some bullshit in schools and made us felt ancestors knew nothing and couldn’t do anything for theirselves but according what this great woman is saying, everything they did was on point and had greater reasons behind everything including naming their towns

    Would like to proceed from the Akan etymological analysis point to explain Adum , Bantema, Akyeremade etc.
    Adum signify "darkness" . It has to do with where executioners lived. In ancient architecture adum was built as dungeons that is underground construction in Palaces and in city walls. That is the executioners quarters, they didn't have to come out to mix with society so they stayed in those dark alleys. If anyone had to be executed he is sent into the dungeons (adum) and that is the end.
    In ancient city gates, there were dark rooms constructed on each side of the walls holding the gates, like in the gates of Jericho. These rooms in the walls were used as prisons for war captives, burials or tombs as well as escape tunnels "ndoom" for the city's population incase of war . On normal days the executioners of the city hid in the dark rooms to quickly whisk away spies and attackers and executed them in the "adum". The adum caves or tunnels were so dark that even during the day they had to use trailblazer( tani) to see around.
    A king who was able to build such a defence complex around a city was given the title BOADUM.
    Without malice to the old lady's exposition, adum may not relate to putting out fires but about executioners special quarters created in the Kings Palace or at the city gates.

    • @akwabanthebe5836
      @akwabanthebe5836 2 года назад +1

      Etymologically the name Bantema may relate to Adum.
      It sounds like "ba-ntra-ma" with bar or bama meaning a "wall, fense, ramp" whilst ntrama- means "bricks" . The root word is "bama" which means "mud platforms and when 'ntra' is inserted it becomes 'ba- ntra- ma' which is a description of brick-wall. This signify a place of brick-wall "ebanmu" to suggest that there was a form of WALL in Bantema. It could be a wall with a gate that opens into the city that had the Adum or the Abrafo guiding it. On the other hand it could refer to the Royal burial tomb " EBANMU" meaning walled or fenced.
      Bantema simply means "fenced" either for protection or for royal burials. It should have nothing to do with "a cloth"

    • @akwabanthebe5836
      @akwabanthebe5836 2 года назад +4

      Akyeremade when turned last first becomes " ade- kyerè" meaning a place of learning.
      It goes with an Ashanti apparition as " "Okyerema- Asante" that is " Asante- the Teachers /the Enlightened, the Scholars ".etc. Don't panic because is the Ashantis who taught the Greek philosophers ancient hieroglyphics writing, science, mathematics, alchemy, religion etc. in Egypt.
      This relates the Ashantis to the ancient Enlightened Kushite kingdom of Kerma (Kyerema) and Meroe and the powerful Queens Amanirenas, Kandake , Amanishakhentu etc.
      This confirms the old lady's story that Akyeremade was a place of learning because it means SCHOLARLY from ancient Kush. A teacher was called Kyereme also Kyerematen in Asante.

    I don't think Nana's explanation on Pampaso is entirely correct. "Pampa" means a small hill in Twi. (Christaller's dictionary, 1881, p. 358) So Pampaso means "on top of the small hill".

      @@guysisko394 you are so lost and deceived my friend! Do you realize that JESUS is God Almighty Himself? The Creator of all things.
      You ignorantly quote the scriptures which JESUS Himself said about knowing the Truth and the Truth shall make you free. Did you not read in the Bible that this Truth is JESUS?
      John 14:6 I am the Way, The Truth and the Life, no one comes unto the Father except by Me.
      JESUS is the Truth so anyone who knows the Truth which is JESUS, the Truth which is JESUS shall make him free. How does the truth which is JESUS make us free when we know Him.
      His sacrifice on the cross of Calvary is our freedom from sin and death. His resurrection brings us New Life because rising from the dead is about Newness which JESUS brought to all men who believe through His death and resurrection.
      Knowing JESUS has made me experienced the greatest miracle ever which is the Love of God. I now know that JESUS is God Almighty Himself Who took upon Himself the human nature so that He can shed His blood for mankind and save us from eternal damnation.
      I now know that these so called gods are devils and fallen angels who once served The Living God but rebelled and were cast out from the presence of God into torments forever. Any man or woman who serve these false gods is an enemy of God.
      But God in His love has sacrificed Himself on the cross of Calvary and given all men the chance to believe in Him and be saved and given Eternal Life. JESUS alone gives Eternal Life. Choose JESUS now that you can because He is God Almighty.
