It always sends shivers down your spine to listen to the song after you know about the lyrics. There's so much to unpack. At first you think the song is just an upbeat song but the sounds of the train crossing and the distorted parts at the end give you a weird feeling, then you look up the lyrics and it all changes. There are a lot of songs, often by vocaloid producers, that have this upbeat, happy overtones with some really dark and deep lyrics.
That "beeping car" is a (Japanese) railway crossing warning sound, btw. When I listened to this cover (it was the first time I'd ever heard the song), I scrolled down to a comment summarizing the lyrics right before that cut-out at the end, so that was nice.
I'm so glad you happened to start looking at the lyrics when reacting to this song! dunno if you've caught this yet, but the narrator of the song is probably also going through a lot of guilt since she was responsible for the bullying of the girl who committed suicide - people in Japan have a tradition of placing flowers on the desk of someone who died, doing so while the person is alive is thus like wishing the person's death. (The reason why the narrator did this isn't really communicated in the song lyrics, but from speculations about the inspiration of the song (which may actually about two boys), it seems that the narrator could be a part of a group of bullies that made her do it, and she didn't want to push back on the idea and expose her love for the 'target' because of the taboo around same-sex relationships.) extra thoughts edit: There's also something to be discussed about the second set of railway warning noises: it may be about how the guilt keeps haunting the narrator - constantly replaying past events like the lyrics say "It repeats again". Or, given the abrupt end to the song accompanying the narrator's thoughts with only the sound of cicadas (representing summer) remaining, it would mean that...
I didn't notice the flowers until you pointed it out but iirc placing a vase of flowers on a student's desk means that they've passed away. Idk if that's why that's there but knowing the lyrics, it probably has something to do with it. edit: I did a little extra research and one of the lyrics says "a flower vase placed on the next target and the one who started it was... me." Since the flowers mean that the student who sat there has died, placing a vase of flowers there when the student is still alive is like telling them to go die. The "pointing at me" and "transparent" lyrics could possibly represent the ghost of the one who died blaming the singer (I think?) for their death. These lyrics get way darker the more you look into them.
There are some sentences are about loving each other. And several times "yes, you are my friend" I think the lyrics might tell the story that suichopath was friendzoned and then started a bullying.
you should also react to Ayame official-esque cover of this. It was extracted from a karaoke but a couple of fans mixed it and it sounds like an official cover. They also conveniently put some eng subs in the video so you can read it again.
{Your} instincts start to go crazy Like a cornered mouse Now, standing in an abyss of despair You jumped into the railway crossing Yes, you’re my friend So take my hand Yes, you’re alone You've got nowhere to go, do you? --But with things like this We’re able to love each other It repeats again; A flashback, the buzzing cicadas… And you, who will never come back Our matching keychains Are being torn apart for all eternity The girl with her pale white skin That the summer got rid of I find myself wanting to bе possessed by her so much it brings mе to tears My true nature starts to break loose At the start of September Marked by the ringing of chimes A flower vase placed on the next target And the one who started it... was me It’s true, you’re to blame-- Just look at me and me only It’s true, you want someone to help you Don't you? I gently place a kiss On your drowning hands Those faintly smiling beasts Dig their nails into {you} Until their hearts are refreshed And now your skirt is uneven A scream that seemed as though it cut off the silence of summer Echos through the classroom, in the window is the blue sky Of course, you're my friend So take my hand Of course, you’re gone And I’ve got nowhere to go If we were able to love each other In that transparent world~ It repeats again; A flashback, the buzzing cicadas… And you, who will never come back Our matching keychains Are being torn apart for all eternity The girl with that pale white skin That the summer got rid of I find myself wanting to be possessed by her so much it makes me sad You were just transparent And pointed at me
Ayame also have a cover of this, though I think it is still privated. You can find an archive of it and it have English lyrics alongside the Japanese ones. Edit: the link: ruclips.net/video/pbeHdo18Jig/видео.html
I haven't seen anyone react to Taku Inoue's song "3時12分" or Sanji Juunihun (3:12). It is his debut song which Suisei sang. It's such a good song and also a good MV so it's both pleasing to watch and hear. Just a suggestion though as I don't know if this is safe to put a video.
3:12 is not a song that can be reacted to since it does not fall under Hololive's guidelines as it belongs to InoTak. As a side note, he's a pretty big artist in Japan for his work on soundtracks like iM@S, Tekken and Ridge Racer.

There's another girl in front of suisei tho.
And this song title is "Ghost girl" right

The original version pic is also subtle but clear, with both girls inside the train crossing, but one is without a shadow.
You would think a song with this kind of tone contains first love and youth, not suicide and bullying
That's japanese songs for ya
@@Namei116 I was gonna say the same, the Japanese absolutely love to juxtapose poppy music with sad and disturbing lyrics.
Technically it's both

Memories of the cover of the same song made by Ayame. 🤗 By the way I recommend this react. 😉👍
{Your} instincts start to go crazy
Like a cornered mouse
Now, standing in an abyss of despair
You jumped into the railway crossing
Yes, you’re my friend
So take my hand
Yes, you’re alone
You've got nowhere to go, do you?
--But with things like this
We’re able to love each other
It repeats again;
A flashback, the buzzing cicadas…
And you, who will never come back
Our matching keychains
Are being torn apart for all eternity
The girl with her pale white skin
That the summer got rid of
I find myself wanting to bе possessed by her so much it brings mе to tears
My true nature starts to break loose
At the start of September
Marked by the ringing of chimes
A flower vase placed on the next target
And the one who started it... was me
It’s true, you’re to blame--
Just look at me and me only
It’s true, you want someone to help you
Don't you?
I gently place a kiss
On your drowning hands
Those faintly smiling beasts
Dig their nails into {you}
Until their hearts are refreshed
And now your skirt is uneven
A scream that seemed as though it cut off the silence of summer
Echos through the classroom, in the window is the blue sky
Of course, you're my friend
So take my hand
Of course, you’re gone
And I’ve got nowhere to go
If we were able to love each other
In that transparent world~
It repeats again;
A flashback, the buzzing cicadas…
And you, who will never come back
Our matching keychains
Are being torn apart for all eternity
The girl with that pale white skin
That the summer got rid of
I find myself wanting to be possessed by her so much it makes me sad
You were just transparent
And pointed at me
I really appreciate this approach to your video, it really makes that second run through much more meaningful
Suisei train shu shu shu
Suisei train hits different today

It's not privated, it was on bilibili, never on yt
@@raddy6955 Thanks for the correction
@@_youryen And it was a karaoke if I'm not wrong. Just someone mixed it to sound more "official"-like
I cry every time I hear this song omg..

What the first reply said is true. Someone tried to stream a reaction for it recently and immediately got hit by copyright.

Yup it's soothing, until you saw the lyrics
*Then it's more soothing*
You should check the original art... it shows the meaning of the song quite straightforwardly.
btw the meaning ur supposed to read it ending to beggining
