Thanks for the awesome videos! This is one of the few channels that both gives complex topics enough time, and does not add bloat to simple topics to make them longer. Keep up the awesome work!
This was a great step in terms of balancing, playing into the support aspect of Gyrfalcons like that. It's a great way to revitalise Nightstalker hunter, especially since it had been lagging in the PvE space without Volatile Flow. The damage calcs are always appreciated, great shit.
Fighting lion is also a REALLY good option for applying volatile and, with stylish executioner you can go invis after every volatile kill. Making a loop
@@LordTonzilla you are right but it’s just that fighting lion has infinite ammo and hits much harder to than any other primary void weapon. The volatile caused by fighting lion also explodes with the one shot. And since you can detonate it when ever, you can cause a aoe volatile affect to a large group of enemies and then finish them off with another round. Making everything explode
Hey so do we know how the volatile proc functions on a void rocket that has the ghally wolfpack round buff? would said wolfpack rounds proc volatile multiple times as well?
Actually a very good question. Originally I thought that wolfpack rounds were always solar, but my stasis rocket with wolfpack rounds is causing dark blue immune damage ticks when the wolfpack rounds hit hydra shields, so they actually match the element of the rocket. If I end up testing it I'll reply with a damage % increase on void rockets.
Been wondering this myself. Still not sure if it'd be worth running over something like star eaters or orpheus in a DPS situation because I'd imagine it would take too many shots to make up for the lost super damage but it could be the play on big tether. Volatile with a void rocket + gjally could potentially work too. I like these style videos you do.
For flat out DPS, I'm thinking orpheus and star eater would probably be better for short phases, but gyrfalcon's would definitely outweigh it as the damage increase stacks up above the improved super damage from orpheus/star eater. Gyrfalcon's has the advantage of being an excellent neutral game exotic too though.
Dude I’ve been waiting for someone to cover the new machine gun. It’s able to easily do the volatile glitch you mentioned and I calculated my build to do over 120,000 dps with it. It’s amazing
I hate how 2 seconds of the 5 second damage bonus is taken up by the finisher itself. Now all we need is for Bungie to rework that one titan thunderclap exotic that became completely useless.
After playing extensively with the chest piece before and after the rework, it was a good call on bungie to switch the damage bonus for volatile rounds
Falling guillotine also has the volatile bug where you can add loads of them. Just heavy attack at it goes brrr. Pair this with lucent blade and it does stupid amounts of DPS
Been doing some testing today and using the new glaive with close to melee and it’s ridiculous how high you can get the damage to be, granted it needs a few buffs and debuffs but it’s total damage is more than cataclysmic in the same time frame
So before the change, I was using echo of instability on a FT'stC/Golden Tricorn Retrofit escaped, and it almost consistently bypasses the volatile round limit.
Can you try this with a Target lock and forth times retrofit escapade the very high rpm could be interesting almost certainly not meta but interesting especially with font
So Volatile can increase dps, and in previous vid we saw freezing shatter dealing good dps. Would testing Jolt be worth it? Just curious how much dps it could add to a linear or machine gun.
Laugh if you will but leviathan breath does work with a reliable volatile build, with very good ammo economy. I've always used nothing manacles and leviathan breath or two tailed fox as my heavy and it's amazing
How is it with corrective measure rewind rounds high impact reserves? Probably not that good because machine guns are bad but it seems like it could work nice
Sure, I'm one to take advantage of bugs and exploits. I'd just rather not put it in the video since it's liable to be fixed if it isnt intended. If it gets fixed, I've gotta go back and re-edit and re-release the video, yada yada.
0:41 Ah. Hah. Hahaha. HAHAHAHA. Use the new seasonal lmg with target lock and you will find that is actually not true lol. It applies and detonates an explosion with each shot. It’s glorious.
There is nothing to test, the percentages didn't change. Our best boss dps exotic is now for add clear, a complete role change thanks to fucking Crucible. You can no longer use it for dps unless it has reliable adds to execute and your teammates actually let you do it and you pul it off without losing any uptime.
@@plebiusjonbson823 I simply want to know what specifically you think in this video is pointing to that conclusion. I'm admitting that I don't know what you're talking about but would like to!
glad to see that bungie actually reworked this exotic without making it useless, and excellent video as usual.
Yea glad titans gauntlets from last season never got touched and warlocks got another mid exotic. But hey hunters have sucked for so long now right?

@@TheRockemsockm Did you watch the video?
Not to mention adding reaping wellmaker + font of might + seeking wells to give that extra bit of damage
Do all that using a hollow denial with repulsor brace. So much fun

nice. you got my sub for that machine gun review with target lock, etc.
They should have doubled the timer for the damage boost considering you need finishers now
ya, its pretty pointless

can't wait for the next vid! eagerly awaiting a "new addition to my collection" of builds lmao
its also relly quite good in pvp still. havng permanent volatile is pretty insane, especially with repulsor brace

4.6 million damage across 40 seconds compared to 3.6 million from crafted cataclysmic with the same buffs.
It's honestly in my opinion better now, it went from specific uses for short times all the way up to being a potential main exotic
Is there any interaction between volatile rounds and cluster bombs on a rocket launcher like Royal Entry?
Nicely done, ty for the math

How good would Quickfang or Falling Guillotine do with volatile?
better but not good since swords suck rn
