Two things and my apologies if I’m wrong: 1. Gromril armour is only available to Dwarfs as a starting warband. Other warbands have to search for it after they’ve played a game or two. 2. You want as many bodies on the table as possible. You’re better off giving your heroes light armour and having more bodies to fight with. 3. Just remembered this bit but you want as many heroes as you can get to help in exploration after a game.
I used Battlescribe to build the lists, though the Mordheim module does contain some inaccuracies. Give it a try. It'll help. But best advice, especially if you're new, is to join the Mordheim Discord and get advice on listbuilding. Have fun!
Glad to see that you chose Orcs & Goblins as the 2nd warband. They get far too little lvoe in Mordheim.. Orcs & Orks is all i play these days and i love them in Mordheim too.. I really like putting short bows and bows on basically anything! So they can shoot and make it hard for the opponent, but they still fight good in close combat.
Don´t think you can have Gromril Armour from the start though can you? And the Skills, if it is a house rule, cool. Otherwise the starting experience don´t give you any skills. it is just to show how.. Bossy kinda, they are. You don´t start with any skills from the lists. only "skills" they have as special entries in the warband section.
To be honest, I wasn't aware of not being able to take Gromril Armor right off the bat. I did use the Battlescribe Module to listbuild so that may just be down to the module not catching that. I'll adjust if necessary. I would love to have these guys have bows (or anything ranged) but because I pulled these models out of storage (and Age of Sigmar), I just figured using them WYSIWYG would be appropriate. Thanks for chiming in. I appreciate the insight.
@@WarGamingNewb Yeah. I introduced a buddy to Mordheim last summer and sent him the rulebook.. He chose undead and i asked him to read the rulebook, just check it a bit and atleast read the undead list. He did not.. He used some army builder and it got really messy.. ;) Those things are great, when you know the rules and limitations.. becuase they don´t catch them all.. There is not that much really, but a read through, maybe twice, talk to people and you get the hang. The warriors cannot buy and use anything that is not in their warband list. Later they can get skill and get them. Armour doesn´t need skills but you need to find them on the marketplace. Gromril Armour is pretty cool if you have the money but light and heavy armour is very, very expensive and not really worth it. BUT! Making two warbands like this with few models and expensive models. It doesn´t matter, does it? They are pretty nice to face off against each other and get a feel.
@@WarGamingNewb I understand the WYSIWYG. if you want bows there are some around. the Wolf Riders is what I looted for mine, they have a bow and quiver. I also raided the Freeguild Crossbowmen for crossbows. But later? It looks like fun stuff now.
Thanks for the insight. As I progress in learning the game, I think I'll get the hang of it. You've definitely given some things to think about (and something to talk about in the next VLOG). I'm already rejiggering the first warband. Any insight on the Estalians? I can't seem to find a standard warband for them other than the Corsairs listed at Broheim.

Good stuff, thanks for the video
Thank you kindly! More to come!
Nice looking orcs, i like the big 2 handed one, the weapon is dope, and the orc boss eith skelet on his shoulder.
Thanks, Lucian! Yeah, they're pretty awesome!
How do you go about formatting those character sheets? They look super useful and I'm just getting into the game myself! Cheers!
