    Hi Samer, great video!
Could we have your permission to use about 10 seconds of your video? We want to use it in a video about aircraft emergency procedures.
    Thank you!

ERJ stands for Epic Regional Jet.

Such an otherwise superb airplane with what has to be one of the very stupidest designs in door systems ever.
Three different handles, stacked or "nested" together like measuring spoons, all operating through the same range of motion, and each performing a different function: operating lever, arming lever, and that stupid vent flap lever.
It's just such a blight on an otherwise excellent airplane.
The whole stupid remote-control thing for the slide girt that they started on the 747 is a totally superfluous mechanism. These mechanisms can freeze up and fail, and are just another thing to break and fix -- totally not needed.
Just hang the girt bar on the slide bustle (like 707, 720, 727 and 737) and drop it into the floor brackets to arm -- totally foolproof and fail-proof.
No need for all these crazy little indicator windows -- this one's blank, another one's red. Gimme a break. How about this: If the girt bar is in the clips on the bustle, the slide is disarmed; and if it's in the floor brackets, it's armed.
Whoever designed this mess seriously needs to take up a new career -- maybe inventing the next Rubik's Cube.

But if you think about, wouldn’t it be a whole lot easier to just pull a lever and open the door other than bending down, removing the girt bar, arming the door and then opening and door and then waiting for the slide to inflate?

Well, the arming of the evac slide, whether with the traditional manual slide girt, or with one of these remote control linkage set-ups, is normally done when the aircraft starts pushing back or when moving off.
So there's no extra action to take with either system to use the slide in an emergency evacuation - you just open the door, and the armed evac slide inflates.
The forerunner of these systems on the 707/720 and DC-8 were evac slides mounted in ceiling compartments above the doors - these had to be pulled down out of the ceiling and quickly attached to the floor girt brackets after opening the door, in case of need - it was a system that was only around for a couple of years, and soon those aircraft too were mostly all retrofitted with bustles mounted on the doors.

Hans im Glück and i’m not sure i understand by remote control linkage set ups?

In this type of slide arming disarming mechanism, as on the Embraer door here, the slide girt is latched to the floor, and detached from the floor, by means of a remote control - a handle or lever somewhere on the door that is connected by linkages to the girt mechanism.

Hans im Glück ohhhh it’s because you said “remote control” and i think we have very different definitions of a remote control haha

slide with only mens 😂😂😂😂 for disconecting slide from aircraft only pull of grip required the to do on video is NOT normal.

@@Perich29 like every slide is raft too, the disconection of this one wrong(you must disconect with only one pull)
