Hi Simone. The Mini is no longer in productions ( although you can still purchase it online) so I would recommend it. The BT is better since the hardware is more advanced than the MINI. The mini is an older unit and Autel created the BT to replace it. My price is 1800 USD shipped. I know that the 908 ECU program under protocol J2534 but that is not what I want to know, but the difference in the coding which is - in the manual it figures 906 basic coding and the 908 advanced. does it refer to the j2534 protocol or to other encodings or adaptations? HI Alberto, Great question. I sent you an email already video of me answering your question. Unfortunetly this is a very common experience that all buyers have. Some of them end up purchasing the wrong tool because he information that see online is extremely generic. They make an MD802 look like it can do just as much as the ms906 for example.. and many people have to purchase another tool because they were not consulted properly. I really do not encourage people to purchase any tool with out being properly consulted. 10 minutes can prevent you from costly mistakes.

Hey UBN. The Maxisys Mini has exactly the same coding features as the PRO . The ONLY difference is that the MINI does not have the ability to do PROGRAMMING since it comes with a regular VCI and not a j2534 pass thru device that the PRO comes in. Personally I would get the MS906BT... Its the same as the MINI just better hardware that will allow you to work a bit faster ( and the VCI is smaller and it comes with a flash light that the MINI doesnt have) Do you feel that the MIni is right for you?

I wouldn't recommend purchasing your Pro or Elite on ebay or amazon you are going to be missing key adapters and programming cables as and you will not have anyone to teach you how to use the tool programming capabilities and repairs. If you feel that nothing will happen with your tool ( hardware or software related) and you can do you own tech support then you can look for a cheap price from a chinese vendor. They are all over ebay and amazon.
You can always still buy dicontinued items because their are people who will always sell them. For example the DS708 has been discontinued but they are still updates available and people are still buying them. Personally I would recommend teh MS906BT. Its basiclly the replacement of the Mini. ( better hardware and smaller VCI with flashlight on it) But if you have your mind set on the mini dont worry you can purchase it. Hi, I bought Maxidas DS708 some time back and it was performing well until I broke the screen accidentally. Where or how can I get the screen at fair price because I feel it is still worth having it in my workshop. I have also bought a Maxisys MS908 Pro which was performing so nicely until I updated it and I cannot program new keys for Nissan vehicles anymore after I updated the Nissan software. The local dealer is of no help at all here in Kenya. The current updates are so costly for me since the one year warranty is up and the Autel update site want me to pay a lot of money for Nissan software.

The DS708 is discontinued but they might have some of the spares in stock. I can get a quote for you and have the new screen shipped to you. Hi erieschi. Good question. If you need TPMS functionality at the same level as the TS601 then you should look at the MS906TS. This is the only model that has the same functionality in terms of TPMS programming as the TS601. All of the rest of the Autel models only can read the TPMS module. Not program/ relearn the sensor to the vehicle.
Your videos are great, however I will like to say that Autel's NY tech support programming team will assist with programming and diagnostics. And if a customer is unable to get thru when calling in, Autel.US will call them back. Also Autel.US programming team is very accessible thru email.
Hey Harold, This is great news. I noticed that they improved there customer service operations. I still get alot consumers who contact me for help and occasionally they complain on my youtube page but we will as long as the Autel community is happy then I am happy.
Yes, I am well aware of customer's complaints. However, customers must understand that every programming job is not cut and dry. Yes the programming is a simply process but the setting up process is not at all a simple procedure. Many times customer's computers have to be made to accept the programming software. Also a lot of times the customer may need assistance with diagnosis of there vehicle before programming can be attempted. We do our best to not only assist with programming but also try to teach the customer how to program and when to program. We want the customer to be very self sufficient and skilled with the autel by the end of each call. And many of times this isn't just a 5 min conversation/call, try an hour. But we answer emails and take calls all at the same time while programming multiple vehicles at the same time. As we all know there will always be complaints, however I will just like for you to know that autel NY is fully able, willing and ready to assist techs across the country.
Maybe you can make some sense cutting BS or truth clarifying minimal and advanced coding ability for us , and demonstrate some important examples of needed (non J2534)coding capability that the pricier Maxisys models listed with "advanced coding capability" possess that I would be disappointed to find missing with a 2014 DS708 or a new corded MS906, successor to DS708 ( I know, no Maserati and Bentley updates for regular MS906).I remember Pre Maxi Sys DS708s, Autel used to brag they were at least 95% of dealer level capabilities. Maybe Autel downgraded some of the DS708 coding capabilities since the Maxisys platforms came out? I don't know . Side by side with same vehicle can you see any missing important coding function on a corded MS906 special function menu that the MS905 or MS906 BT has listed that works when you try them. Thanks

Otherwise you will just be researching generic information thats either outdated or BS. Your videos are great, however I will like to say that Autel's NY tech support programming team will assist with programming and diagnostics. And if a customer is unable to get thru when calling in, Autel.US will call them back. Also Autel.US programming team is very accessible thru email.
Hey Harold, This is great news. I noticed that they improved there customer service operations. I still get alot consumers who contact me for help and occasionally they complain on my youtube page but we will as long as the Autel community is happy then I am happy.
Yes, I am well aware of customer's complaints. However, customers must understand that every programming job is not cut and dry. Yes the programming is a simply process but the setting up process is not at all a simple procedure. Many times customer's computers have to be made to accept the programming software. Also a lot of times the customer may need assistance with diagnosis of there vehicle before programming can be attempted. We do our best to not only assist with programming but also try to teach the customer how to program and when to program. We want the customer to be very self sufficient and skilled with the autel by the end of each call. And many of times this isn't just a 5 min conversation/call, try an hour. But we answer emails and take calls all at the same time while programming multiple vehicles at the same time. As we all know there will always be complaints, however I will just like for you to know that autel NY is fully able, willing and ready to assist techs across the country.

Maybe you can make some sense cutting BS or truth clarifying minimal and advanced coding ability for us , and demonstrate some important examples of needed (non J2534)coding capability that the pricier Maxisys models listed with "advanced coding capability" possess that I would be disappointed to find missing with a 2014 DS708 or a new corded MS906, successor to DS708 ( I know, no Maserati and Bentley updates for regular MS906).I remember Pre Maxi Sys DS708s, Autel used to brag they were at least 95% of dealer level capabilities. Maybe Autel downgraded some of the DS708 coding capabilities since the Maxisys platforms came out? I don't know . Side by side with same vehicle can you see any missing important coding function on a corded MS906 special function menu that the MS905 or MS906 BT has listed that works when you try them. Thanks
Hey its Curtis. I understand your frustration and your points are valid. The only way to clarify all the recycled BS is to call me for a consultation. This will not only help decipher which tool you need but I can also get into specifics of coding capability of each model. Otherwise you will just be researching generic information thats either outdated or BS. I hands on experience with all the premium tools and I have a relationship with the engineers who creates the software.
I am willing to watch whatever you have to show me about coding.
