Hi Jason. She is a lovely ship. I found the "Lighter, less Garish" design really nice. The lighter tones ship wide makes her unique. And pops of color here and there for accent, was not over the top at all. Also, I think the lighter color tones opens up the ship visually, rather than the dark and mysterious tones of other ships. She shares the "Lighter" tones with Silver Nova and the upcoming Silver Ray. The cabin was just beautiful and very well appointed, in all those areas (you are quite vocal about). She is beautiful, even if moored next to the RCI building where I used to work back in the day. I would think that Cannes or maybe Santorini might have been better backdrops. he he he he he
I've been on Splendor twice, and just finished a transatlantic on Grandeur. I really wanted to love it, but came away with a few niggles. First, the crew and service were absolutely wonderful, as they always are on Regent. But, I thought the fit and finish on Grandeur left something to be desired. Our toilet didn't always flush, we had a flickering LED ceiling light, and we could hear both cabin neighbors talking rather clearly through the walls. I thought we just had a bad location, but friends on a different deck reported having to listen to their neighbor coughing all night, every night! The Observation lounge decorating underwhelmed me, but I will give Regent credit for Compass Rose and Prime 7. Just spectacular, although I wish CR wouldn't clutter their entrance with guests' walkers and scooters during dinner. It completely ruins the otherwise grand looking entrance. Maybe they can store them in a closet or in the casino while guests are dining.
