Agreed. The genius in all of this was not only the characters but also everyone involved. You cannot have an Undertaker without Mark Callaway or Kane without Glenn Jacobs. The timing and the moments produced were pure genius. I wish I could elaborate more but I tend to just clam up and get into a stupor when I consider the impact that the Brothers of Destruction, Paul Bearer and the rest made on us all.

This is literally a dope ass story.... I'm not gonna lie. As a child I NEVER KNEW WRESTLING HAS STORYLINES like this.
Unfortunately it really doesn’t anymore. This was their climax. It’ll never be as good as this again.

Now that WWE somewhat has a relationship with Netflix, the Kane and Undertaker graphic novel would make for a great series.

Actually,it was the other way around,The Undertaker saves Kane.
Then he walks off and looks at the camera and says that never in Hell will he fight Kane.
They both saved each other. Undertaker saves Kane first and says he’ll never fight him. Then the week before royal rumble 98 dx came out to claim they inducted Kane as a new member. Undertaker responds telling hbk (his rumble opponent) to keep his family out of it. Undertaker begins getting beat down by dx and finally Kane comes to make the save. Which is when we get the BRILLIANT visual of undertaker kneeling in the ring and Kane responding in a seeming sign of solidarity with his brother. Only to betray him in the casket match at RR after initially helping taker fight off the new age outlaws (prior to their own proper induction into dx) and a couple members of both los barricuas and DOA.
It’s my favorite era of wrestling and I watch from Kane’s debut through to wm x7 at least once a year maybe more. That’s why I’m so detailed. This storyline is literally burned into my brain lol

I mean yea sure if all you want to look at is the dramatic aspect. When you think about the fact that there’s a revolving door of seemingly super powered characters, who partake in action packed fights with each other, with the ultimate purpose of telling a story. It’s more like a live action comic book. Especially when you consider the undertaker is an undead zombie with the ability to conjure lightning. And his brother is a previously thought dead character with the ability to conjure fire. If you think that’s closer to a soap than a comic, this medium was never really for you

You make good videos, but having the same 8 bars of music loop for 30 minutes is torture. You would be better off with no music at all. Keep up the good content though!

I always thought it was Genius of WWF/E giving Undertakers brother the Kane name because that name is connected to Undertaker from the beginning.

I love this entire breakdown but I have to be a little bit of an asshole and make a tiny correction. Undertaker actually won the buried alive match against mankind. Undertaker had dumped enough dirt for the ref to ring the bell in his victory but not to completely cover mankind. After the bell rang was when all the heels jumped him and buried him alive

Great video minus a few mishaps with the timeline! Kane beat Rey Mysterio for the title. The Tag Team Wyatt Family battle happened after the streak ended. Undertaker won the 1st Buried Alive match despite being buried afterwards. Still a very enjoyable video though! Great job!

Man I forgot about a lot of this. I never connected all the dots before. Great work. Further evidence that the Undertaker character is the best of all time, I really don't think anyone else has such an intricate story. Undertaker is basically Batman, Solomon Grundy, Ghost Rider and Aleister Crowley all rolled into one.

Later Vince & Stephanie talk about Taker kidnapping her, and they both refer to him as Mark and how they've known him for a long time but he's changed & started believing in The Undertaker gimmick which he now has others believing.
Then we skip to 2002 during the American Jackass period where his ex girlfriend was bribed by Heyman to say they were having an affair. She calls him Mark & talks about how he never told her he was married, and that she liked him for him because she didn't even watch wrestling or care that he was The Undertaker. He yells that he doesn't even know who she is! lmao & she replies "Now you don't know me, Mark?"

i can consider the early part as Undertaker's time as Mean Mark, but what about Kane when took the identity of Issac Yankem, he even had a match with Undertaker under the Issac Yankem Persona
Good job over all but you missed a few things. 1. Bearer reunited with Mankind in 1998. He and Kane won the tag team titles, then lost them to Steve Austin and Taker. Kane betrayed Mankind to reunite with his brother. They even attacked Paul Bearer.
2. They won the WWF title at Breakdown which lead to their break up, as they had to fight for the now vacated title at the following ppv. Bearer reunited with Taker here, thinking he would win.
3. Taker committed Kane in late 98, which I just remembered.
4. Okay the Undertaker thinking he is a character angle would be abandoned because of Kane. I think Russo forgot Kane existed.
5. Bearer briefly reunited with Kane in early 2000, then disappeared.
6. Kane had a feud with Taker in 2000. In a match at Summerslam 2000, taking Kane's mask.
7. Edge is not a vampire, he lead s gothic lifestyle.
8. As Taker,'s powers drained in 2010, he reunited with Bearer.
Bearer betrayed Taker at Hell In A Cell 2010 and reunited with Kane.
Bearer disappeared after Randy Orton locked him in a freezer.
9. Finally after the final death of Paul Bearer. CM Punk insulted Bearer's memory leading to Kane attacking Punk and Taker helping his brother.

@@PhilMiCoochie In the Kane novel, Undertaker really set the fire. But it was an accident. It's explained in a flashback. Summary below. *Spoilers.*
He lit a match book on fire while lost in thought and when the fire grazed his hand, he dropped the book and it started to spread. By the time he could get to the kitchen & get water, the fire was too big to put out. His parents couldn't hear him yelling all the way upstairs & Kane 's room was on the other side of the parlor . He ran to go find help & was stopped by Paul Bearer who said everyone would be dead by the time he got help, and the police would view him as murdering his family. Paul took him in after that. However, the book does imply that Taker's Ministry Heel turn was a result of Bearer drugging & brainwashing him shortly before Judgement Day. Ministry Taker saying he set the fire to kill Kane could be seen as a lie simply too torment his brother.

I think that was by far one of the best wrestling videos I’ve ever seen it done a excellent job of telling the story of the undertaker and Kane and sadly as much havoc as the Brothers of destruction reeked during their time in the wwf/wwe I believe their time as two of the top attractions in the company is up and they both are ready to move on with their lives and pursue new things except for a random appearance here and there
