Clearly the rational coder response to people becoming robo tourist gods rather than nerf robo tourist hp...
so after banning sentience mindswaps and making other small changes to defend their creation, they also changed the bit of code used to designate which area the chef role has CQC in to.
to all of service, instead of just the kitchen.
Bar, botany, service, custodial, theatre and I would not be surprised if this minute change affect chapel and the lawyer's office as well.
Naturally, as an immediate consequence of vastly overextending the area that cook CQC can be used, the chameleon skillchip was deemed too restrictive of a design and promptly removed.
Cool, can't wait for self antag chefs to start gibbing everyone else in service.
@@GrinchAxel that isnt the full story, that PR broke range check and resulted in a hillarious bullshit bug which let you grab anyone from any range including cameras. you could use that to teleport them to you by tableslamming or neckgrab (nukie cqc worked too)

@@athath2010 meta in ss13 is anything outside of the client. usually associated with voice chat or teaming. the github repo is not inside the client so technically meta. no one would know robots were being protected by the worst stop-gap measures in the form of millions of HP

To be clear, the "bans fugu gland and rainbow swap from robots and spirits" PR was not merged, although the other one has.
Also, tourist bots have had their health pools nerfed down to 150 points of health or so.
