      Which country are you from? You shouldn’t buy a phone more often than every 3 years. If you live in a country that’s not absolutely 3rd world and this is a thing for you than buying a flagship shouldn’t be a problem if you save for a few months.
      When I was living in China, around 5-6 years ago. Our staff was making between 6000-9000rmb a month. It’s around $1000-$1500 us. They all had iPhones and iPads. Some of them had families and responsibilities.
      If you a kid, I don’t know, when I was 15 I worked at McDonalds until I could afford to import a PlayStation from Japan. It was $800 1994 Australian dollars.

      Too each his own mate , the iphones do have some redeeming features too that android devices do not have , and it is easy to get carried away with a lot of the gimmicky crap that often rarely sees more use than the first week while the novelty is still working on you , and then very rarely in daily life after that if we are to be honest .
      As a 10 year android boy still to this day but also with an iphone , this is something i have come to appreciate about iphones , just small things like the mute switch on the side , magsafe which i use every single day , and just the general good performance in all areas that has very few weak areas , and no annoying bits like curved edge screens which i have endured for my last three android phones.

      Good choice. If sammy doesn’t sort out their stutters and jittery software I’ll defo go for the Oppo. It’s the s pen I really like and that turns it for me. But I really hated my s22 ultra because of the software. Plus Exynos really has to go which I think it is. Will be interesting.

It’s absolutely stunning, super powerful , fantastic camera. It’s by far the best build phone on the market. The screen is one of the best. The pixel 7 pro has a very slightly better software experience but that’s it. The Oppo is better in pretty much everything else. The cameras though, that’s arguable as the pixel has fantastic cameras and I can’t make my mind up which is better. It seriously smashes the iPhone 14 pro max and the s22 ultra. Tbh, oppo removed some features and mostly give or take did nothing in camera department. They removed the microscope camera, it was something fun, also they didn't improve the telephoto sensor much, said they plonked in a chip for image processing but nothing that noteworthy. It's not a bad phone yet but used to be good.

    • @dragonforcegaming7555
      @dragonforcegaming7555 2 года назад

      yeah microscope used to be fun. But again market is not gained by gimmicks but more practical sense. Just look at iphones they didn't do a single gimmick ever and yet they own a major part of the market. Then there's OnePlus who didn't do much but just re-branded oppo phone designs and sold it and yet they own a good part of the market. Then Samsung has always been consistent on Zoom. They are giving periscope on all their ultra flagships so we can't consider their act as a gimmick too. But when you compare Find X3 pro, it's microscope was indeed a gimmick. This time they focussed more on software and camera tech than giving gimmicks which used to be the sale point of Find X series

    Great review Jaime, reinforces that I made the right decision purchasing this phone 2 days ago instead of the Pixel 7 Pro. Sure, it was released about 14 months ago, but I bought it heavily discounted (AU$500/US$344 off what many other retailers are still charging) from a local tech retailer ✮brand new✮ for AU$899 (US$618). I don't mind that it's last year's model, up until 2 days ago I was still using my Huawei Mate 20 Pro, bought 4.5 years ago! Still a great phone (last Android update version 10), but battery down to 76%, technician will change battery soon and will keep as a spare.
    My only issue (so far) with the Oppo Find X5 Pro is that it won't connect to Android Auto. Spent 2 hours trying everything, but the car doesn't recognise it, whereas the Huawei Mate 20 Pro quickly connects to Android Auto when plugged in with a USB cable. The Oppo connects to the car with bluetooth, but not Android Auto...🤔. Anyone else have this problem? Best wishes from Perth, Oz 😎

      Overall you can trust the BBK brands like Oppo, OnePlus and Realme.

    might be, that find x5 pro is great, but the prices are way too high and they don't decrease over time, it's like they try to be the android counterpart of apple but they are not. apart from that i am quite disappointed, that BBK trys to kill oneplus by pumping into oppo, and slaughter oneplus, the true oxygen OS etc. apart from that ofc. it's a awesome device but with a bad taste due to the reasons mentioned above :/

    • @dragonforcegaming7555
      @dragonforcegaming7555 2 года назад

      bro...it was OnePlus's decision to merge with oppo. And if you go according to OnePlus past you will see why. They always used to be Oppo phones with just Oxygen OS pumped into it. And also OnePlus was on a declining phase when this merge occurred. Blame Carl Pie for leaving the company at its most crucial time. If they didn't merge with Oppo then there wouldn't be any OnePlus in future as Oppo phones were becoming better each year alongside ColorOS as which OnePlus wasn't doing with their Oxygen OS and the final nail was that Oxygen OS started causing issues on some models which after tons of updates even didn't got fixed most of the times. So the remaining ways were either merged with Oppo and focused on developing and implementing colorOS on OnePlus phones or becoming a history. They need to do business and not cater to the fans of Oxygen OS.
      OnePlus was known as the flagship killer when they used to give the specs at low price but when they launched their first Flagship (which again was a re-branded oppo find X phone) they lost that title. So think according to the brand. Do you want them to become like LG and vanish? or do you want them to take a step back, upset the fanboys and improve like Sony?
      and regarding Prices, it's not that the Oppo price doesn't drop lol. Some people bought this Find X5 pro for just under 1000$ with a lot of goodies which Samsung or Apple do. If you wanna know who the Apple of Android is then it's Samsung.

    • @markuslc1888
      @markuslc1888 2 года назад

      @@dragonforcegaming7555 samsung is definitely not the apple of android, no other phones get so slow over time as samsung.
      might be true, that oneplus needed oppos help, but nonetheless oxygen 11 was way better than 12, 11 is true oxygen, 12 is based on color os and it's worse in almost every aspect, which has nothing to do with fanboy mimimi but it's a fact...just because oneplus is together with oppo doesn't mean they need to loose their identity...just look what they have done with the 10pro and especially with the 10t...crap deluxe.

    • @dragonforcegaming7555
      @dragonforcegaming7555 2 года назад

      @@markuslc1888 If you are comparing with speed and reliability of Samsung and Apple then no way Samsung is close but if you go according to prices, specs, it's own product eco-system and more over update policy, you will see how it is the Apple of Android eco-system.
      And also yeah I would agree with Oxygen OS 12. OnePlus made complete crap of it. Like literally ColorOS 12 on OPPO's own low budget F-series and Realme's budget Narzo series is far better than the mixed crap that oneplus made. But this time on Oxygen OS 13 I just hope it does time better. Because it's not colorOS which is causing the problems, it's their useless integration of it. Also given that OnePlus is no more that Enthusiast focussed brand, 10 pro is actually competing with the likes of S22 plus, Pixel 6 pro,etc while 10T is competing with S22 (base), Pixel 6 and 6a,etc. So it's still has an identity, of competing with phones that are priced in 700$ segment. Oxygen OS would have been great only if it wouldn't be causing issues.
      Also OnePlus actually lost their identity a long time back, the time they launched their first flagship, its identity as "flagship killer" . Oxygen OS was saving their a** but again Oxygen OS itself started having problems with a lot of models. You must have heard about the unusual storage filling issue that some models of OnePlus, fun fact, it was actually running the True Oxygen OS and yet the issues were terrible ones . Not even Samsung's useless TouchWiz UI had such an issue back in the 2013s. And OnePlus wasn't even able to solve this issue after tons of updates. In some models, the Camera was suddenly crashing or whitewashing the complete image, for some they couldn't answer a call as the green button won't respond,etc. And all of these happened with the true oxygen OS. They of course made a poop of ColorOS 12 on their phone and please feel free to roast the hell out of them for messing up. But that isn't because of oppo or ColorOS or BBK. It's solely the fault of OnePlus.

    The worst thing about Oppo is its software and OS. More and more companies are promising at least 3 years of OS update. Oppo doesn’t say anything about it, so I presume Android 13 is the last is that will come to that phone.

      What are you talking about? ColorOS is fantastic, it's just a light skin with some personalizations on stock Android, everything works and it's very smooth. And Oppo officially announced they will provide 3 major Android updates and 4 years of security patches for Find X series phones so I really don't know where did you get your wrong informations.

      where did you get this wrong info? which idiot said this?
      Oppo promises ,
      1 OS update for A-series
      2 OS updates for the K and F series (sometimes we get 3 also) 3yrs security patches
      3 OS update for Reno and Find X Series along with 4yrs security patches.
      and regarding ColorOS it's refined to such an extent now that it literally ties with OneUI as the best Android skin after Pixel UI.

    Why make such a nice looking phone but limit it to such a little amount of theme's and crap software to make each unit unique instead of them all looking bland as f@@k £800 for something I put down and lost interested in and picked my xiaomi 12. Sorry but it reminds me of buying the huawei p50 pro and not been able to use Google. If anyone reads this and knows how I can make my x5 pro different from the person who has just had his pinched and because of the little you can do with it he thinks mine is his a little joke obviously but not out of the question any help will do

    As long as it's oversized (anything 6" or bigger is oversized) and lacks BASIC things like expandable storage and a headphone jack, I will NEVER give these Oppo phones a chance. I simply won't.

    • @andyH_England
      @andyH_England 2 года назад +3

      Cannot think of a flagship phone with a jack or expandable storage apart from Huawei, that does not have Google Services. So that rules you out of many phones. The jack is ended because the EU has asked headphone makers to stop using a jack and use USB-C. So OEMs just doing what the EU will dictate (fines and bans if they do not). As for expandable storage, removing that means the cost of internal storage gets cheaper due to higher supply and economies of scale. This is good fo tech. SD cards are old and very few people need them now in flagship phones. In low cost phones they are still useful.
