I just want to add an even easier escape. Come out the main gate, then go left and follow the wall back to the ocean. Jump in, dive down deep and just swim. You’ll escape before you run out of breath and won’t be seen by anyone and you won’t have to kill another guard.
I struggled to do this solo and just went for the submarine approach but following this route/ guide worked a treat and I was able to do it solo with ease

There is one, disconnect your internet (works on pc) the very moment "Heist passed" pops up, you will be put in gta 5, then reconnect with internet. You will get your money but your heist will still be ready to start, no preps or cooldown needed
Guide is fantastic (thank you). Note to new viewers: There has since been an update where guards can see dead bodies so when you break into the compound you have to be more select about the guards you take out on your route to the office and on your escape. Be mindful of the guards that patrol and may see a dead bodie.
Thanks for commenting about this, I've been wanting to cover it in a video but completely ran out of time. I'm hoping it's a bug, but it feels intentional given the recent rebalancing of businesses and Cayo nerfs earlier this year.
Your exit off the railing and the tip about swimming underwater west are a huge time saver. But I was having trouble with inconsistently settinig off the alarm -- guards were finding a dead guard somewhere long after I had shot them with suppressor. Jay Money has an entry method after the water tunnel that's even quicker than yours, with no timing of the patrols necessary. He turns right (opposite of your first left turn), and climbs up a stair railing on the coast, then climbs onto a wooden pergola/rooftop. Runs across a roof, a beam, hops a stone railing, and that puts him facing the guard that you pop from behind at the bottom of the office tower. Combined, your two methods make this mission even easier!
It doesn't matter what path I choose, I always end up getting caught by a guard and having to shoot my way out. I've dome this heist solo maybe about 6 times now and each and every single time I get caught by some miraculous reason.
Some folks (like me) have a jinxed, or glitched game to where I can follow exactly what someone else did, and still get different results than they did. I did the Longfin approach and tried to get the disguise clothing at the airport, but even that was impossible, which makes no sense. Why gimmie a disguise if I can't get to it and make everything 100 times easier. I need to find a mission that involves zero stealth and I'll beat it every time.

I take always after entering the compound the left stairs and not the right and sprint directly to the office. Never get caught, have only to kill the bike guard and did the heist about 25 times in the last 8 days with 2 panthers and the rest pink diamonds. 🥳

It's almost exactly how I do it, take a slightly different route in the compound but I do hit the airport first and then straight to the compound using the longfin
I’m on Xbox series s and my long fin spawns back further into the ocean rather than staying where I parked it after hitting the airport. Does this happen to you?

100% perfect guide. Second run threw I was able to manage not getting seen or shot. I only got 1.394 million on hard though. Dr Dre missions are easier and quicker tbh. Maybe it’s cause I got the red jewel which isn’t worth as much idk 🤷♂️
I usually pull off three of these a day with my running buddies in GTA online. It’s better to pull these off with people you know as opposed to doing a heist with random people who are bound to mess up.

There is a route you can take once you come out the drainage tunnel that takes you straight to the house, you will only have to take out three guards total once there.
I take the camera and guard out at 4:47 perfect every time and still the alarm triggers. Been slamming my head against the wall with this all day. and every time I fail here. I feel like going with another entry.
Every so often it gives me a hard time as well, it can be a bit weird. All I can suggest is waiting until the camera rotates in the opposite direction of the guard before taking him out. Alternatively, if you're quick, you can shoot the camera out before the guard, but it has to be done before his cone of vision is on that part of the courtyard.
Tylarious is the god of Cayo and this is the way I go. The gate keys spawn at the two guards at the pool melee them with the machine pistol the other spawn is the guard that walks up and down the corridor near the main office if not them it’s the personal guards. Secondary loot first with the long fin and get your primary and leave. Prior to the nerf I made 200 million dollars from this method. For the long fin prep mission I would recommend the phantom wedge. Mk2 for all other preps and if you get hq mission use the sparrow. 45-48 minutes to set up 10-12 minutes to complete elite challenge every time just like printing money.
You are right, for the preps use oppressor but don't forget to return your oppressor to reload the oppressor's homing missiles. So overall sparrow is the best option. The sparrow only takes me 6 to 12 mins for all the preps. You just need to master your helicopter flying skills bro!!!😄
@@Ariffin958 I only use the oppressor for effectiveness I don’t get detected on the cutting torch mission do I only need the weapons for the plasma cutter mission. But you can use a phantom wedge for that mission and drive straight through them in all of the locations.
good guide, but a little bit "weird" path. (i dont think im an expert but hear me out) use kosatka as the entering and exiting vehicle with drain tunnel entry point. when you spawn in the compound turn 180 degrees and run up the first set of stairs, theres a path where you can run all the way up to the main building without having to kill anyone except the 3 guards in the main building. when you get out of the compound, kill the guards outside, take a sanchez and drive up to the main docks where you should be able to fill your bag, then steal a boat and drive off. with this method my finales take around 7-8 minutes with the elite challenge
Oh and my approach is this: I go in with the Kosatka. But to the North Dock. I kill one guard, then steal a boat and go to the places that have 2 stacks of coke (that is more often than not the Airfield, which is about a 25 second "drive" away with the boat from the North Dock). Then I go to the Drainage tunnel, take the main take, get out, kill the guard at the bike, take the bike and jump off the cliff at the southern most point of the island (almost like you do in your video, I swerve around the chopper guard a little more, to reduce the risk of detection). This whole run takes usually 12 to 13 minutes, depending if it's a code I have to put in or a plasma cutter that I have to use for the main take (the code is usually much quicker). So I get the coke, I get the main take and I make the elite too.
Glad to see people are still motivated to do it after the nerf. Maybe for some people cayo can be fun again. Unfortunately I beat it to death playing b2b all last winter and the payout would have to be 5m+ for me to even consider running it again.
I can definitely relate there, I always burn myself out on my preferred grind methods. Struggling to get back into MC sales again for that reason, the invite only sales are nice but those damn Post Ops still give me nightmares lol.
Just done my first heist! Only problem is that I'm impatient...how long does it take to re do it? I've waited over 10 mins...done a mission and now I'm still waiting...even the sub doesn't let me ..
I usually do 3-4 cayo perico heist a day before the nerf now i can still do it 3-4 times a day all u need is a second character so once u finish the Cayo perico heist on one character move on to the second character and do that heist once u finish both the heist either wait 3 hrs and do the same thing or do the vip missions or the pay phone hits or even the terrorbyte missions those will earn u extra cash and there is always the nightclub business which gives 3x payout on income so that’s a nice bonus
I love how there are so many different ways to complete the heist but only one of them reigns supreme for solo players. To be fair this one is good but it is not even close to the best.

Good guide, but you should be able to get a primary target from the basement without shooting any guards. Just gotta learn the guards moves and it is hilarious how poor eyesight they have. The turcose shirt guard at the stairs close to the house entry point, you can sneak past him without him noticing you, even if he is faced your way 😁
I highly recommend doing the kasotka entrance instead and not go to the airstrip, instead picking up the secondary targets at the main docks, it will save you a lot of time both during the heist, the setup and the scouting.
@@NotaFederalAgent823 kosatka prep is rlly easy, just drive ur sub over the objective, shoot the helis and boats with the periscope missiles, then dive down to the submarine where the sonar jammer is and kill everyone with a shotgun before returning to the kosatka
Yeah unfortunately you have to do it every time, there's a fast route you can take though, if you search "Gather Intel" on my channel you'll find my video that covers it.
You deleted the video with the secondary targets. The thing with those targets and lower yield main takes after the Nerf is: The Secondaries are changing in value. For example: With the Bearer bonds the Coke is 12k more valuable per stack than before (2.0 stacks). That is not much, but it puts it almost on par with a full duffle bag of Gold (1.6 stacks) that would only be a few thousand dollars more than the coke. Doesn't matter of course, because you can not take Gold in a solo run, but it is interesting to know, because these increases in values are meant to encourage groups to go out on the island for the raid - that's especially true if there isn't enough gold for everyone in a group - they can take coke instead. Since weed only takes up 33% of the bag, it almost is as valuable as coke (50%) in summary. It is the same principle with the coke and the Gold - just a little bit less worth in value. Now the paintings. This was and still is a matter of opinion and personal taste if you want to do that, because if you have enough coke in one place, you can easily get the main take afterwards and still make the elite challenge (which nets you 50k more). In a solo run this would be advisable if you can make the elite challenge. If not and if you have two paintings in Rubio's office to take: Do that. It nets you a little less than the coke + elite challenge, but this would be the only reason for me to take the paintings over the coke: Only when I can't make the elite challenge trying to get the coke, or if there isn't enough coke on the island and have 2 paintings to take instead. It is excessively more likely that you will find enough coke on the island and make the elite, even if you have to go to 2 different places to get it (it would be close to the 15 minute mark, but even under such bad conditions: If you have enough coke, you probably can get it and make the elite). So, yeah, the decision between "coke or paintings?" depends on the elite challenge and if you can make it.
With the cayo perico nerf, I believe Rockstar changed the value of certain secondary loot. For an example, I did a heist today, and I took a painting which was worth 235.000 $ (more than a stack of coke) So I think a new video about secondary loot has to be made (sry for my bad english :/)

Just go into the compound first through the entry tunnel and fill up your bag at the main dock on the way out. Easy Elite challenge 100k hardmode bonus every single time.

I think you should, I don't know if it is necessary, but in one of my runs when I was scouting the island I saw some loot that I didn't take pictures of, and when I came back to the same places the loot was different
they will be there regardless, but scoping allows you to determine beforehand which locations have best loot, allowing you to save time while making the most profit... i always scope the airfield.. as long as there is coke, i go straight to the tower... if airfield doesnt have coke, i scope the north dock, and if coke is there i would loot north dock instead during the heist.... if there is no coke in either locations then there will aways be enough weed instead... during the heist i'll know to approach whichever location has the better loot before heading to the compound
Takes a few runs to learn the best place to jump off, but once you get it you'll almost always drop right in front of the 3 mines. In some of my early attempts I think I went through about 10 rebreathers because of getting lost lol.
I had a ruby necklace today, grabbed that and a painting and some gold using the safe door roll glitch into the basement on ps4 with conspirator. Fast run 8:01 If I didn't study the roll glitch I'd be rocking the longfin too looking for cocaine. Very nice guide. (y)

The mines don't trigger swimming, and tbh my method is always elite challenge completed but I do a different run... None the less great guide chap I hope many less advanced players appreciate it! 👍
Personaly i go through submarine entrance and scam through walls at south and west storage since safe have a kilbox now. First west storage, then south, basement with gate keys comes last. Usualy end up in less than 10 minutes when i didn't fucked up clean run by alerting the guards by missing shots or killing someone relativley close to heavy gunner. Honestly it's kinda funny. You can litteraly run cirles behind them and jumping. But he can hear meat bag falling flat at a quite distance.
Fill loot bag at the airport. Go left after the tunnel, then take the two guards out, go up the stairs to the left, take the guard out, then the camera, then then the guy at the bottom of the stairs, (get the key) go upstairs check safe. Downstairs, over and under the wall, into the vault, right out the vault, through the gate. Immediately left out the main gate and jump off the cliff.
You have to press start on the first finale screen before it eventually brings you back to a similar menu where you can select your approach vehicle and entry/exit points.
They nerfed it, and I don't want to cheat disconnecting my wifi so I can play it sooner, but I think they nerfed it only because people were making so much money from it.
Yup, it was too easy to make a lot of money. I stopped grinding Cayo after 3 months bc I made more money than I can spend. I guess doing a cooldown nerf is better than a payout nerf.

Yes to both, but if you're playing with other people you'd be better off getting gold from inside the compound as your secondary targets (if it's available ofc)
if youre looking for max $/ time, don't take weed. Only fill your bag with coke. If you're willing to learn how to glitch, id recommend learning how to glitch into north storage and basement storage, as gold can spawn in these locations. the glitch only takes a few extra minutes if you get the hang of it, and you can go directly to el rubios compound.
Do you have to do gathering intel everytime or is that first time on madrazos files only I havent started the heist yet every im jus prepping it for the weekend
But if you need both the guard clothing and the supply truck then you need to scope these 2 again together with your primary target and secondary targets. The guard clothing will come in handy for dodging all cameras and few other guards.

Just do the dr dra contract and a couple pay phone hits and mc and that takes pretty much 3 1/2 hours

Guards won’t alert if they see a dead body only if the camera saw it. if you take they guy by a camera you have to take the camera out to.

@@Ariffin958 I only use the oppressor for effectiveness I don’t get detected on the cutting torch mission do I only need the weapons for the plasma cutter mission. But you can use a phantom wedge for that mission and drive straight through them in all of the locations.
good guide, but a little bit "weird" path. (i dont think im an expert but hear me out) use kosatka as the entering and exiting vehicle with drain tunnel entry point. when you spawn in the compound turn 180 degrees and run up the first set of stairs, theres a path where you can run all the way up to the main building without having to kill anyone except the 3 guards in the main building. when you get out of the compound, kill the guards outside, take a sanchez and drive up to the main docks where you should be able to fill your bag, then steal a boat and drive off. with this method my finales take around 7-8 minutes with the elite challenge
Oh and my approach is this: I go in with the Kosatka. But to the North Dock. I kill one guard, then steal a boat and go to the places that have 2 stacks of coke (that is more often than not the Airfield, which is about a 25 second "drive" away with the boat from the North Dock). Then I go to the Drainage tunnel, take the main take, get out, kill the guard at the bike, take the bike and jump off the cliff at the southern most point of the island (almost like you do in your video, I swerve around the chopper guard a little more, to reduce the risk of detection). This whole run takes usually 12 to 13 minutes, depending if it's a code I have to put in or a plasma cutter that I have to use for the main take (the code is usually much quicker). So I get the coke, I get the main take and I make the elite too.
Great video I know cayo isn't as good as before but I just started plating again I am grinding for the Kostka so I can do this

Unfortunately I beat it to death playing b2b all last winter and the payout would have to be 5m+ for me to even consider running it again.
I can definitely relate there, I always burn myself out on my preferred grind methods. Struggling to get back into MC sales again for that reason, the invite only sales are nice but those damn Post Ops still give me nightmares lol.

I usually do 3-4 cayo perico heist a day before the nerf now i can still do it 3-4 times a day all u need is a second character so once u finish the Cayo perico heist on one character move on to the second character and do that heist once u finish both the heist either wait 3 hrs and do the same thing or do the vip missions or the pay phone hits or even the terrorbyte missions those will earn u extra cash and there is always the nightclub business which gives 3x payout on income so that’s a nice bonus

I love how there are so many different ways to complete the heist but only one of them reigns supreme for solo players. To be fair this one is good but it is not even close to the best.

Good guide, but you should be able to get a primary target from the basement without shooting any guards. Just gotta learn the guards moves and it is hilarious how poor eyesight they have. The turcose shirt guard at the stairs close to the house entry point, you can sneak past him without him noticing you, even if he is faced your way 😁

I highly recommend doing the kasotka entrance instead and not go to the airstrip, instead picking up the secondary targets at the main docks, it will save you a lot of time both during the heist, the setup and the scouting.

@@NotaFederalAgent823 kosatka prep is rlly easy, just drive ur sub over the objective, shoot the helis and boats with the periscope missiles, then dive down to the submarine where the sonar jammer is and kill everyone with a shotgun before returning to the kosatka

i think that this tutorial should consider multiple target locations for secondary loots. because not all the time the target loot is in the airfield.
You deleted the video with the secondary targets. The thing with those targets and lower yield main takes after the Nerf is: The Secondaries are changing in value. For example: With the Bearer bonds the Coke is 12k more valuable per stack than before (2.0 stacks). That is not much, but it puts it almost on par with a full duffle bag of Gold (1.6 stacks) that would only be a few thousand dollars more than the coke. Doesn't matter of course, because you can not take Gold in a solo run, but it is interesting to know, because these increases in values are meant to encourage groups to go out on the island for the raid - that's especially true if there isn't enough gold for everyone in a group - they can take coke instead.
Since weed only takes up 33% of the bag, it almost is as valuable as coke (50%) in summary. It is the same principle with the coke and the Gold - just a little bit less worth in value.
Now the paintings. This was and still is a matter of opinion and personal taste if you want to do that, because if you have enough coke in one place, you can easily get the main take afterwards and still make the elite challenge (which nets you 50k more). In a solo run this would be advisable if you can make the elite challenge. If not and if you have two paintings in Rubio's office to take: Do that. It nets you a little less than the coke + elite challenge, but this would be the only reason for me to take the paintings over the coke: Only when I can't make the elite challenge trying to get the coke, or if there isn't enough coke on the island and have 2 paintings to take instead. It is excessively more likely that you will find enough coke on the island and make the elite, even if you have to go to 2 different places to get it (it would be close to the 15 minute mark, but even under such bad conditions: If you have enough coke, you probably can get it and make the elite).
So, yeah, the decision between "coke or paintings?" depends on the elite challenge and if you can make it.

I think you should, I don't know if it is necessary, but in one of my runs when I was scouting the island I saw some loot that I didn't take pictures of, and when I came back to the same places the loot was different
you can find them on the way except you be wasting time if you wanna do the elite challenge.
they will be there regardless, but scoping allows you to determine beforehand which locations have best loot, allowing you to save time while making the most profit... i always scope the airfield.. as long as there is coke, i go straight to the tower... if airfield doesnt have coke, i scope the north dock, and if coke is there i would loot north dock instead during the heist.... if there is no coke in either locations then there will aways be enough weed instead... during the heist i'll know to approach whichever location has the better loot before heading to the compound

I always have an issue leaving but, you took your time so, I think I have it now. I just have to pay attention to the map, when on the bike.
Takes a few runs to learn the best place to jump off, but once you get it you'll almost always drop right in front of the 3 mines. In some of my early attempts I think I went through about 10 rebreathers because of getting lost lol.
I had a ruby necklace today, grabbed that and a painting and some gold using the safe door roll glitch into the basement on ps4 with conspirator. Fast run 8:01 If I didn't study the roll glitch I'd be rocking the longfin too looking for cocaine. Very nice guide. (y)

The mines don't trigger swimming, and tbh my method is always elite challenge completed but I do a different run... None the less great guide chap I hope many less advanced players appreciate it! 👍
To be honest I've never been brave enough to check if the mines activate when swimming lol, appreciate the info.
Personaly i go through submarine entrance and scam through walls at south and west storage since safe have a kilbox now. First west storage, then south, basement with gate keys comes last. Usualy end up in less than 10 minutes when i didn't fucked up clean run by alerting the guards by missing shots or killing someone relativley close to heavy gunner. Honestly it's kinda funny. You can litteraly run cirles behind them and jumping. But he can hear meat bag falling flat at a quite distance.

Fill loot bag at the airport. Go left after the tunnel, then take the two guards out, go up the stairs to the left, take the guard out, then the camera, then then the guy at the bottom of the stairs, (get the key) go upstairs check safe. Downstairs, over and under the wall, into the vault, right out the vault, through the gate. Immediately left out the main gate and jump off the cliff.

You have to press start on the first finale screen before it eventually brings you back to a similar menu where you can select your approach vehicle and entry/exit points.

They nerfed it, and I don't want to cheat disconnecting my wifi so I can play it sooner, but I think they nerfed it only because people were making so much money from it.
Yup, it was too easy to make a lot of money. I stopped grinding Cayo after 3 months bc I made more money than I can spend. I guess doing a cooldown nerf is better than a payout nerf.

Yes to both, but if you're playing with other people you'd be better off getting gold from inside the compound as your secondary targets (if it's available ofc)
When you set the alarms off when a guard sees you, how do you make the alarms stop so helicopters will stop attacking you

if youre looking for max $/ time, don't take weed. Only fill your bag with coke. If you're willing to learn how to glitch, id recommend learning how to glitch into north storage and basement storage, as gold can spawn in these locations. the glitch only takes a few extra minutes if you get the hang of it, and you can go directly to el rubios compound.

Yes, every time. However it's easier on follow up heists, you only have to visit the communications tower and scope the main compound.
But if you need both the guard clothing and the supply truck then you need to scope these 2 again together with your primary target and secondary targets. The guard clothing will come in handy for dodging all cameras and few other guards.
