The fact that you come to your old videos after YEARS!! You are the only RUclips creator I know that does this. Thank you so much, all your videos are extremely helpful💛
I am frightened by you but at the same time I love how you explain everything like a really great teacher that wants her students to learn and grow. Thank you!
Just to want you know how amazing your channel and your videos are. I'm a fashion design student in Milan just started two months ago. And I had no background for sketching drawing painting whatsoever. Now it's like my everyday wake-up/go-to-bed ritual to watch your videos and they are absolutely helpful and constructive for me. Much appreciated. You deserve more likes and views!!!
I never do comments but after saw Ur videos i felt wrote something a special note...u r just beyond the best...I studied in a private institute and there are not learnt these advance Technics about fashion.... thank you so much...for Ur hard work...stay blessed...and keep inspired us....u r just amazing....
I'm super happy you have more fashion designing videos than other channels and that you focus on basics while helping us out in a short comic I'm doing I need to figure out fashion
Thank you so much!! I keep watching your tutorials since I discovered them, they are certainly much more useful and fruitful than fashion classes I took in the past. Expecting for more videos from you...
Hey Zoe, your videos are helping me a lot. Am from Ethiopia. I am trying to learn fashion by ma self. and your tutorials are very helpful. Thank You Very much! God bless You!
Really love your videos you're such an inspiration .. just like a mentor to me .. whenever I am stuck in my design process I look for an answer at your channel..love your channel
Thank you, thank you, thank you for putting together your series. It has helped me so much. My first shoe prototype was a fur shoe. Your video helps me to feel more confident about my skills since you're helping me build on it. Thank you again, Zoe.
This is the first video I watch from your channel and I completely fall in love with you! not just because your tutorial is amazing, but 'cause your personality seems to be so strong! I love it! I'll subscribe!
Thank you for this amazing video! I study furdesign and leatherdesign and have to draw alot of furs. I have searched for a video like this for a long time! Fur is a bit challenging to draw/paint
I loved your attitued from the begining and I subscribed inmediatly. I'm doing a fashion series of ilustrations and your tutorials are gonna help me a lot!
Hi Zoe, awesome tutorials and I love your sarcasm :) If it's not too much to ask, I would love to see a tutorial on how to render velvet. I have seen once an Italian trend catalogue and I was impressed by the way velvet was rendered there (very realistic). Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us and keep-up the great work.
Would you ever try sketch fashion design on the iPad Pro and see which are differences and the easiest. And btw your tutorials are REALLY helpful and thanks for uploading! Keep it going!
hey zoe, i would like you to show us different fabric rendering with color pencils or water colors only as these are the mediums we gotta use for exams!
I'm new to you're RUclips channel and I'm loving how you explain you're methods when it comes to designing clothes it helps me a lot since I want to be a fashion designer but do you have a video on how to illustrate leather bags?? Well thank you ✨😁💖 - LK
Thank you! Welcome to the channel! I have an accessories drawing video in the queue and with leather, I render it as a "soft shine" material and I go over that in my Shiny Fabrics video in my Illustrating Specific Textures playlist.
Do you always line with pencil? In my classes, we're always been taught to finish fine-liner but your illustrations have a very natural look. It didn't even occure to me that I could line with pencil!
I almost always use pencil (and occasionally colored pencil) for outlining. I think it looks more natural, and it's easier to achieve the line quality I like. If you're not careful with fineliner, it can look a bit comic-book, which is great but not what I want my illustrations to look like.
Zoe Hong thanks so much for your reply, I wasn't expecting that! That really helps, and I'm definetly going to explore that technique in my illustration work this semester :)
hi! how can on render colored fur over black coat as black dosent let anything show? i tried using black promarkers and for fur i used staedler triplus fineliner
+Sneha Mohata You're just going to have to not color the area under the fur. If you have a red fur collar on a black coat, you have to leave the whole collar blank and then color the collar with red only.
Hi! Thank you so much for your vidéo, i am french and I don't understand what is the difference between sketches and illustration, can you help me? Thank you so much !!
Some people use the words to mean the same, but mostly "sketches" are quick, loose, and sometimes just the first draft and "illustration" is usually the final, colored in with markers or paint.
what kind of paper do you using? and is this crayon pencil form watercolour or not because pencil's effect wonderful on marker ^_^ im asking for the first one which you did.
Tugce Denizci I use marker paper with marker work 99% of the time. I like Bienfang brand. Always test for right and wrong side of paper before using a new brand. When I render fur on marker paper, I lay it on top of textured paper/surface so my colored pencil picks up the rough texture. It's regular colored pencil.
I created a Practice Pack to help you illustrate fur! Go to shop.zoehong.com/yt and click on PRACTICE PACKS!

I just wanna say "Hi" to those aspiring Fashion Illustrator like me and dreaming to be Fashion Designer too 👋😊 💕
Are there any books you can suggest that helps with drawing realistic fashion sketches??
This was beautiful btw ❤️
No, I made so many fashion illustration videos because I couldn't find a book I loved.
What is the brand of the colour pencil you used? Thanks 😊
The center of the pelt is called the grotzen. The end is called guard hair..
Also I am a furrier. The fur around the hood is called a ruff. You are a great illustrator and teacher.
Do you have notes somewhere on what color markers you used? Brand? THANK YOU!!!!!
