Thank you so much for watching everyone! Hope you found ones you want to try. My personal favourites are Apple Reminders for shared todos and Amplenote for personal tasks and projects! What’s yours?
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and providing such comprehensive coverage of to-do apps. I am curious to hear your opinion on more comprehensive platforms such as Notion and Obsidian. Given their ability to handle a variety of tasks, do you see this as a helpful feature or potential hindrance to your workflow?
Coming from someone who watches more of these types of videos than is healthy… I just discovered your channel tonight and each video is so much value. Really set apart from other similar RUclipsrs.
Crazy to think how much research must have gone into this one! I follow many of these apps, and still learned a lot from watching this. ❤your work ethic, it's inspiring to this productivity enthusiast to see you keep working hard, and translating that into more ambitious videos every year. 💪
Great video, thank you! I feel you undersold Todoist a bit, it includes a lot of the features you went on to talk about in other apps, including: adding tasks from emails or Slack messages, kanban board views, calendar/upcoming views, and a priority system based on the Eisenhower principle. The only thing I wish it did is scheduling when to *do* a task rather than just the deadline (or add a deadline as well as when to do it).
Finally! Shu is the only productivity creator who know how to properly pronounce カンバン (Kanban) 😂😂 大野様 can rest in peace now. おかげさまで助かりました。 Every time I hear Can Ban🥫🚫 I wanna pull my ears off.
I watched all 20:27, and I found it VERY helpful. Through the years, I've bounced around some using this kind of app. Currently, Apple Notes and Things3. I'm looking, in the next month or two, for a more visual-oriented note taker than Obsidian (which intimidates me) ... perhaps Scrintal. As a result of your video, I will look more closely at AmpleNote and perhaps a couple others in your video. Thank you!!! Wes K Madison, IN
Good summary of the various apps. More helpful would be to break down the differences between apps so that's it's easier to choose the right one for you.
So glad you mentioned Amazing Marvin! It is a small team with not much publicity like all the big ones, yet it is really one of the most unique and positive apps out there. Why positive? It celebrates when you do stuff - and who doesn't need more encouragement? The tool is great and always being added to. There is a dedicated group of users and the reason of the high cost is to keep the community filled with authentic and engaged users. Try the month for free and then extend my another month (simple click) to really set it up and learn how to use it. A bit of a curve, but worth it.
Shu! I thoroughly enjoyed your categorization, if discussion of its function and breakdown of costs and even nice background music that's not too loud. really nicely done! And it was nice not to be badgered with click the thumbs up and subscribe : ) which I did do both. Thanks again Shu!
Thank you for the thorough review. I did watch the video until the end but stopped taking notes after the TimeStripe section. I’m going to take a gander at Notion and Trello and take hard look and GoodTask, Things3, AmpleNote. Thanks again.
wanted to get goodtask, but they raised the price to 39.99 as of may 7th 2023. thats too expensive! And things 3 went up to 49.99! nice video! subscribed
I have a question for everyone. For work use, I use Microsoft To Do via my iPhone and it synchs to my laptop’s Outlook Tasks. It works great for me in that regard. However, my question is more for personal/ family use. I am looking for an app that can assign tasks to my children, auto schedule their chores, set reminders, etc. Any recommendations on perhaps one already mentioned here or a totally different one for family/parents/kids use? My kids are 11 and 13 years old. Thanks.
I'm curious if you see the irony in faulting a productivity app because it doesn't make it easier for you to procrastinate? Also, Things being strictly for the Apple ecosystem is not a con. Android users obviously don't know what they're missing (😝) and having a single codebase allows the dev team to use Swift over Flutter and keeps costs down for the customer since they do not have to maintain Java/Kotlin repos. Anyways, awesome vid. Thanks for sharing!
It's pretty much the opposite, actually. Android users usually had one or multiple experiences with the apple ecosystem, but the Apple users never experienced another system other than windows or maybe an mid range android in 2010. So it's literally the opposite of what you said
*I LIKE* how earnestly the lad is trying to speak English better and better, it is very cute. A few issues like in saying the word "service" exist, but I am sure he will improve even beyond. Oretachi no Shu-chan, ganbare!

Microsoft To-Do is just the best. Free, no ads, has most of the essential features, natural language processing and more. A great UI on top of that.
Great video, thank you! As always, very thorough and thoughtful. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much Shu. This is very comprehensive and helpful.

Shu did you try Cal 5 !
do any of these apps have evernote accessibility? Would be nice to have sync with different platforms.
I never used any todo. What can u recommend for a starting point?
Probably your phone's default reminders app should suffice to start with!
@@ShuOmi_Official oh i mean I used ios standart todo, but didn’t like it. Hard to manage.
Which of these apps support dependant tasks?
Sorted 3 is great, but the awful watch sync makes it unusable for me.
What app is you used for the planner/calendar widget on the top screen on your thumbnail???? I’ve been scratching for something like tbag
The top widget is TimeTree
What is the most useful thing in the app?
What are the widgets you add the cover screen?
The top widget is TimeTree
I just miss wunderlist as it was man...
reminder time alert- how to add in todo list
I thought 2Do was abandoned lol
That's not "android's default reminders app", it's Samsung's
This comment is only available on ISO
Can you help me find a simple task management i can share passwords with the team that requires logging in
