@ 3-33....that's a view of Brighton's Goldstone Ground. I saw a turgid 0-0 draw there in 1981/2 when I followed Villa there for the only time I ever visited.
Brilliant - never seen any footage since I went to this game. I remember a couple of Villa fans offered me stupid money for my ticket......I'd probably take the money these days.
Mate of mine a big Villa fan and he was on about this game other day,and how it could so easily have been like Hillsbrough.Despite wiltshire police claiming it was a good days work,it was more luck that it didnt turn into a disaster
Sorry, was at this game myself, the police opened 2 extra pens during the build up to kick off. The 1 pen next to the seated Swindon Town fans(Which I went into) and the large 1 behind the goal. So in my view the police by 'monitoring' the situation, managed it perfectly. They knew extra fans had gained entrance with forged tickets and also an exit gate was forced open(Some of my friends gained entrance this way) then opened the extra pens to compensate. At Hillsborough they did not 'monitor' the situation. If they did they could not have opened extra pens, but they could have made sure the fans were spread equally in the pens used.
Good old days, one of the lads down the Crown in Perry bar done loads of forgerys that season, nigel I think his name was, but it was mainly pay at the turnstiles for most of the games. we took thousands every away game what a firm we had then. Took the piss everywhere we went, especially with the Kingstanding youth proper game lads. Remember Blackburn away a going in a stolen car with the late Jason Spence rip and chalkley rip and crashing on the m6, but we still carried on and made the game, and going back in a Van with about 25 lads inside stopping off and robbing all the services on the way home what memories, best days of my life, villa Youth youth youth youth youth youth
Wish football was still like this
I'm 51 now and still love it ccfc

Fuck all Swindon behind the goal. You think they'd have had the foresight to allocate that entire end to Villa.
