A hike with a group of unsung heroes

Today’s hike I had the pleasure of guiding a group of women who are a part of a support group called Heart❤️MOMS, which can be found on FB.
Myself and my husband are legal guardians of a granddaughter, along with a staggering number of other grandparents in the State of Michigan. We, kinship care providers, step up to take on this role which requires a complete change in what we imagined this season of life would be. But those who choose to, are dedicated to the role and adapt.
The hike was on the trails of the Brown Bridge Quiet Area located south west of Traverse City, Mi and offers a beautiful hike along the Boardman River.
