Island Vibes: Friends getaway on South Manitou Island

Join me and three good friends as we explore the beauty and history of South Manitou Island. The ferry departs from Leland, Mi and takes about 90 minutes to reach the Island. We will be backpacking to a camp spot and day hiking the trails. This is a first time visit for all of us and it did not disappoint. South Manitou Island is a beautiful gem to explore; historical sites to visit, lush woods to hike, rustic campgrounds and the awesome beauty of Lake Michigan.
