How To Extend The Life Of Your USB Diamond Painting Light Pad!

- Out of all the Diamond accessories, my light pad is firmly number one.
Using a light pad makes reading the symbols on the canvas so much easier, especially if you have a dark canvas.
However, there is a problem with USB light pads.
The connector on the side is notoriously fragile and often fail over time.
Thankfully their is something that can prevent this from happening.
It's called a magnetic USB cable and in this video I'll explain why they are so useful, and not just for light pads!

I've been using these for awhile now. They are a must have. Paired with a Portable external battery, you don't have to worry about long cords to trip over or have to be near an outlet. I can run my led light, light pad and tablet all from the external battery :)

Thanks for the idea. I just had to buy my third light pad. My last one only lasted a year. It’s always been the port that goes bad.
Yeah, the ports are really flimsy. I’m sure a magnetic cable will help.

Hey Jim! Love this info but my light pad has a round "barrel" type hole or plug in (not sure if barrel is right word) but I cannot find a plug in with the disc on the end for that style 😔 🤔😫🤯 looked all over Amazon etc...but maybe they don't make round ones that wld go into the light pad? ☹ Any ideas?
Hi Maria, as far as I know the only connectors that come with magnetic cables are iPhone, android and USB C. ☹️
TY anyway 👍☺ might just have to invest in a new light pad with magnetic cord I guess.
@@gemsdivine You could get one as a backup for the one you use or keep your current one as the backup.
I like the fact that if the cable gets accidentally pulled the cable detaches from the magnet without pulling on the connector.
They’re also handy if you have devices that use the spare connectors. 😊
