I think there's no way Argentina don't get out of that group. They're comfortably the form team in group D, they will probably beat England and I can't see them getting hammered by any of the rest of those teams. They're above England in the rankings for a reason. They recently beat the All Blacks dude.
I agree Argentina to get to quarters but I reckon England just scrape past them in pool play.
😮😮
The level of disrespect. Japan can beat Chile but that’s it. How can you leave Argentina out of the knockout stage? They will top the group easily.
@@pericacho1774 ... possibly but not probably....
I would only give Samoa a small chance. Of course anything could happen, but with the level England is showing, disoriented, disorganized in defense, lack of fisicality, Argentina should come 1st out of that pool
Well done Beast! You predicted it! Tendai, you are a rugby legend!
As a frenchman I hope we can win. But above everything I hope to enjoy a fantastic tournament. May the best team win. Long live Rugby!
I feel that this World Cup is going to be epic in terms of intensity between teams from the northern hemisphere and the southern hemisphere !!!
This World Cup will go down in history.
😊5😅
😊
And long live the “smaller” nations like the beautiful Portuguese who did a fantastic match against Wales or the Japanese who might surprise one or two
Big Jim forgetting that he said Ireland and SA progress out of the pool stage yet still having Scotland in the final...
😂
Lol, he's aloud to e a an first then a pundit 😅
They both forgot😂
The beast is SA
Both of them I doubt watched much rugby all year !!
@@Rudebo : Yes and that beast was tamed by both Ireland and France. so don't count your chickens just yet.
Thanks Beast, for putting Fiji up there👏🏉🇫🇯🇿🇦
I've got Fiji to win the lot at 50-1, i put £5 on it but Wales and Gatland have something planned. At no point did they play their first team where everyone else was showing their cards, it could come to nothing but there's something going on. Looking forward to wales V Fiji more than any other game on the first weekend
wHY not fiji vs england in quarterfinals then fiji advances to semifinals !!!!!!
NZL is main favorite to win the cup in France !!!!
Sept. 14
URU vs France !!
Sept. 12
ecuador vs URU in Soccer !! Soccer here in South America !!!!
Tendai, always going to be one of my favorite players ever. ❤
Tendai is a wonderful Human Being. Really good to see and hear him again. A Real Springbok Legend, as well as a fine ambassador for Rugby and the goodness of mankind. God bless him.
I’m with the BEAST, spot on!!!
Wow, the Beast. Gotta love Tendai, he's got the commanding voice to match his immense stature, and powerhouse play around the park. Huge respect from New Zealand.
No pressure on the All Blacks, no one expects us to win
Never underestimate England. In Group D with Argentina, Samoa, Japan and Chile they have a great chance to beat Chile.
I find this comment very amusing just made me laugh for 5 minutes 😅
@@sweetkiwipie1569 They've got the easiest draw (and I'm English).
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@jacobbolo5572 Well they have just beaten Argentina.
@@darrenbellenger1 I was there and was delighted.
As an Ireland fan, I'm happy to sit back and let everyone predict a quarter final exit.
I think Fiji will top pool C. Australia will probably come second, but I wouldn't be shocked if Georgia got through.
In pool D, I think Argentina will come first. Japan have not been great the last few years, and we all know of England's woes, so I think Samoa have a good chance of a quarter final.
Or Argentina and Japan go through...
Let them all dream. I am looking forward to Ireland waking up the rugby world and putting them all in their rightful place.
Lots of people writing us Irish off. We have beaten every team in the Top 10 world rankings within the past 18 months. Anyone writing us off does so at their peril. Beast talked about NZ having a mental edge over Ireland, does he forget we beat them on their own turf last year? Only one of 5 teams to win a series in NZ ever!!!
@@jasonnurse92 maybe he means in knockout games like the last world cup. Ireland have never done it when the pressure is on, even though I am an Irish man.
Just think Ireland are so well prepared and peaking in time. Ireland can beat absolutely anyone on their day and have been doing so. Time to do it at the world cup
NZ vs Ireland Final!
"I think the Aussies will surprise a lot of people" - they most certainly have.🤣
He was just passionate about his team but sadly Scotland lost terribly to South Africa 😢
What have England shown this year to suggest they are even getting out of that group? Why is everyone picking them to win that group? They just lost to Fiji, Samoa just nearly beat Ireland and Argentina are a very good side.
everyone always sucks up to england for some reason
It'll be Argentina & Samoa going through
Yeah i dont get it either. They havent shown much this year. I still think theyll get out of the group. Japan hasnt been in great shape either. and the English will be able to manage samoas physicality. but Argentina is topping that group
@@McDJNominah they way Samoa physically dominated the Irish I think they'll be far to physical for England
You might see a different England. Most of the time England do raise their game for the World Cup. Very few would have given them a chance of reaching the 2007 and 2019 finals.
Ireland not making a semi-final would be a disaster, especially given how well they've performed over the last two years...
Not really as it’s one of the hardest draws ever.
They are not making it. Had that six nations game against France been in France they would have lost so since they will play them in the Quarters they are getting trounced
@@arnoldmukuvare they beat france comfortably, home advantage would not have mattered
@@arnoldmukuvare I don't know how you can make that statement. In the 2022 Six Nations game in Paris, France won that game by just 6 points and were hanging on at the end as Ireland came back from 22 - 7 down. So I don't see a trouncing on the cards
@@arnoldmukuvare will they play France in quarters?
France Ireland is usually a very close game with the exception of the last match.
France 30-24 Ireland 2022 6 nations in France.
Ireland 32-19 France in 2023 in Dublin.
There is a good chance Ireland have the all blacks in quarters and have beaten them 5 out of the 9 games they have played in the last 10years. The last 2 going to Ireland in new Zealand.
This was obviously filmed before the warmup matches, because England are not getting out of the group and would lose to Fiji in a quarter final, the French will likely beat the ABs, and no way Scotland are beating the Boks, but they can definitely beat Ireland if Irish form doesn't improve before then. Pool C could prove to be the most competitive group if the Aussies don't find some form.
Warmup games shown that Fidji only beated English B team, so we don’t what will happen with England A team
@arnaudb1120 you might not be sure, but the rest of us are.
@@arnaudb1120 "B" team ?
Do you really try to make us believe that it's a "B" team while having in the starting 15 :
Ellis Genge (52 caps), Dan Cole (102), Maro Itoje (70), Ollie Chessum (11), Courtney Lawes (100), Jack Willis (13), Ben Earl (17), George Ford (85), Jonny May (73), Manu Tuilagi (53), Ollie Lawrence (14), Max Malins (21), Freddie Staward (26) ?
The only new or so players were : Téo Dan (3 caps), Alex Mitchell (6 caps)
@@arnaudb1120yeah hate to say it but that was no B team
Ireland don’t need form to improve till Tonga or even South Africa that was the b team out against Samoa
I want the Springboks to win, but if they don't, I really hope it's France or Ireland. I think it's about time for a NH win and those two teams have played great rugby in the past few years.
I also want the Boks to win however if they don't then I wouldn't mind the other green team, Ireland, winning. Unfortunately after French Rugby voted against us hosting a World Cup, I can't support a French win.
I'll be cheering on Ireland if the boks falls out.. But France very dangerous at home.
We beat the English in France in 2007. Would be nice to see some other country get a World Cup other than the 4 that has already won it. Only 3 multiple times. Come on Ireland or France.
Ireland, sure. France, no- this was SA's RWC to host and if we can't host it we'll at least take the trophy on French soil. Again. If not, anyone other than France or NZ for me.
I’m so glad everyone thinks we’re going out at the QF’s. We are so much better as underdogs with a point to prove.☘️☘️☘️
yea like the Kobe clip from Highschool :) we'll see
Nice one gents! Too close to call on form alone so I assess the RWC Champions win on resilience (depth with options), discipline and Official / game management so I'm going Boks for #4!
Really? Group D? 1st England 2nd Japan?
Japan is currently ranked 14. In the past 2 years they've beaten notable teams the likes of Tonga and Uruguay.
Argentina is ranked 6. In the past 2 years they beaten notable teams the likes of All Blacks, Australia, Scotland, England, Wales. The only team they haven't beaten in the past 2 years is SA., they've played 3x, losing by 17, 16 and by 1 point in their last encounter.
Enough said about that.
Reckon people not picking Argentina for that pool are biased by England's past reputation and 2019 world cup performance, likewise Japan to a lesser extent. Argentina will top that pool for my money based on current form.
I would even say that most English speaking commentators are biased against any non-english speaking team. I've seen a lot of people downplaying this year's French team and Argentina. I think they are gonna be proven wrong
@@ZEtruckipu Hope so!
Never underestimate the Pacific Teams this Pacific Teams…🇫🇯🇹🇴🇼🇸
SA fan, I know it sounds swak but I wouldn't mind seeing Eng go out in pool stages... just to see the fallout would be quite spectacular.

I don’t see England topping group!! Arg will beat Eng for sure.
Fiji in the Semifinals, what a great outcome that would be!
considering they are on the easy side of the draw it's definitely possible
If you think Argentina won´t be getting out of the group stages you haven´t been watching much rugby lately.
Agree, no way Japan beat Argentina this time. They got battered by Italy!
from an Irish fan worst case scenario for Argentina is second in that group so yea there going to the quarter finals
Take it easy mate 🖐️🇫🇯
You've gotta love Big Jims optomism
Not completely unwarranted in fairness. The squad is firing well, we're 5th in the world for a reason and there aren't any unwinnable games. So long as Finn stays healthy, and even if he doesn't, we seem to have an actual backup now in Ben Healy so optimism isn't as silly as all that.
Scottish thing.
@johnmc3862 Well this Scottish fan thinks Big Jim's been drinking the Kool aid, but I sincerely hope he's right!
Hope is our biggest killer and this year it’s more justified than ever. You just can’t write Scotland off completely this year… oh this is going to hurt 🤣🏴🏴
I’d love Scotland to bear NZ for the first time ever
Here is my big upset. South Africa vs Argentina Final. What is crazy, Argentina only need ONE upset to make this happen. That is how this world cup is structured. That is insane.
Yes you are crazy 😂
Not far fecthed, I bet with my friends Argentina to top their group
Possibly, but they could face Australia in the quarters, NZ in the Semis, and SA in the final - when was the last time they beat two of their Rugby Championship rivals in back to back games, let alone all three? (Hint: Argentina have had the wooden spoon in 9 of the 11 Rugby Championships in which they've competed.)
@@PeerAdder If a miracle happens and Argentina reaches the final, I am afraid their wheels might come off in that game.
@@PeerAdderit would be a big upset but actually last year they beat Australia and NZ in back to back games
Samoa qualify for the quarters (behind Argetina) if England don’t pull their finger out.
Ire-Aus, Fra-Fij semis for me.
Don’t understand how Jim agrees with Tendai that Ireland and South Africa top Pool B, but then has Scotland in his Quarterfinal?
Gotta love Jim Hamilton's optimism. In fairness the pool of death is so hard to predict. Tendai is a legend. Either France or South Africa for me.
he's english anyway
Beast was so close to predicting the world cup!
Amazing..!!! I do believe som of those bold calls will happen….it’s gonna be a great World Cup
Pool C is the interesting one for me because I can easily see Australia, Wales, Fiji or Georgia exiting the pool.
I agree with Jim too in that Pool B may end up being everyone beating everyone, and it comes down to points (R.I.P. Romania)
Bonus points matter
Its definitely a hard one to call Wales are in terrible form but they always turn up for world cups. Same for Australia. 🇬🇪 and fiji are coming with high expectations though.
The disrespect on Wales is unreal. This will be the shock of the tournament. Wales make SF’s and beat England in the process.
So great to see ireland under the radar! Suits us

Spot on! When I watched The Breakdown I had exactly same thoughts on Barret and what they were spewing. A bit ridiculous tbh.
Rugby's logic on Ireland not being able to get past a Quarter Final as they havent done it before is interesting. Its like saying any girl that hasn't given birth before could not possibly get pregnant.
If she has tried for the past 20 years it's highly unlikely. Clearly not her first attempt.

I agree with these predictions, as do most fans I'm sure......I can't help but wonder if Italy was in pool C could beat Aust. to make it thru to the quarter's....just speculation but would be good for them
It could be the RWC of association football's Japan/Korea 2002 World Cup.

As an England fan I think we will be third and not get out of the pool.. It is the optimism that keeps me going.
Yep. I’d like to be proved wrong, but …
First Arg, Second Samoa, Third England, Japan and Chile
Big statements over here ta!! Loved Jim's credulous confidence on Scotland, sadly I'd be just for the record. As for Tendai, he's a bit more down to earth on foreseen the semis and final...Hope to see good matches and not any speculative encounters. Long live Rugby II!

Japan beat Argentina? Japan are a glorified mid range tier 2 side
They are these days. But they certainly were not in 2019. They have certainly hit a problem in their development
Personally hoping for ireland vs france final!
The dirt thrown on Wales in these never ceases to amaze! haha. It's how Wales like it I guess!
why do people have any faith in Australia? They have picked one 10 with 5 international caps. Its just actually laughable that anyone sees them getting out of group C not least top
I don't even see them going out of their pool lol
True.... Australia is in a rebuilding phase and they have a ton of work to do
Fiji and wales going through
Wow the bar has been set fairly high for Japan it seems.
LETS GOOO🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵
I think Eddie Jones does have something up his sleeve as well
Ireland still being underrated! that's cool.
Underrated by these two, but as a kiwi im.picking ireland will go all the way. Irish are our bogey team and will knock us out at the quarters. Once the irish get that quarter final monkey off the back they will go all the way
Beeeeeeast! You biscuit! So good to see you again.
Kolisi was meant to be out of this WC - and without him SA would have still been good...but now he is back and fit (which is incredible in itself) it makes the Bokke a completely different proposition. Added to that, whilst SA have done pretty well different back row combinations since 2019, I think the return of Du Toit and Vermeulen puts them at a different level.
The only team I see able to compete in a regular game with SA is Ireland...which makes their group game super important in deciding where the WC goes.
This is because of the other 2 teams in the mix - France and NZ. I don't think either could beat SA, but I do think they could beat Ireland given the right circumstances.
If France beat NZ in the group and finish 1st, they will face the 2nd place team from the SA/Ireland group. France could beat Ireland in this scenario due to momentum...but I think they lose to SA. But if France finish 2nd, I think they lose to either Ireland or SA in the QF.
If NZ beat France in the group, then I see the ABs able to beat Ireland in the QF, but not SA. But again if the ABs finish 2nd in their group, I think they will lose to either Ireland or SA in the QFs.
That means SA go through to the SF in any scenario
Ireland go through to the SF if they finish top of their group.
Otherwise, whoever out of France or NZ wins their group and plays a 2nd place Ireland will go through to the SF.
I actually fancy Ireland to beat SA in their group and I fancy NZ to beat France in the other group....leading to an Ireland v France and NZ v SA QF.
Ireland and SA will go through - and both will easily beat whoever they play in the SFs because the other half of the draw is so much weaker.
Ireland v SA final - and SA reversing their group defeat to win a historic 4th WC.
But if Ireland lose to SA in the group, then I fancy NZ to go through to the final against SA.
But in a NZ v SA final, I still see SA as the winners!
That's un uninspired prédiction you're making here. France has beaten SA last autumn, they can do it again.
Bold. And.......I agree!
@@ZEtruckipuuninspired to you but I guess he was accurate 😂😂😂😂
FS Jim, now I’ve got my hopes up🏴

What a world I live in when my England team beating Argentina, or even bloody Samoa would be considered an upset..😅
Does the Beast not realise Ireland has been beating NZ for fun over last few years? Mental edge indeed 😂
Can't remember what the score was in the 1st test last year?
Ireland were jet lagged in the first test. But like the ABs in Twickenham last week:)
@@pigslefatsYeah the first test, then the AB went on to lose the entire test series. Almost like saying a team didn't win the World Cup if they lost their opening match.....great logic🤦
@@markbrennan212 "The entire test series" You mean they lost the next 2 games? Does hyperbole come naturally to you, or do you have to work at it?
Can someone explain to me why Ireland are being discounted so easily everywhere? I don’t really hear any explanation other than the fact they have never made it passed a quarter.
What would they have needed to do to even be in with a shot of progressing to a semi.
They’re Ranked no.1 in the world having beaten the next 9 teams in each of their previous outings.
SA will be tough. Scotland will be tough but if they escape the group of death yes they might meet france on home turf but are also the only team to have defeated them in the past 12months (or is Frances’s winning of the World Cup inevitable)They might also meet the all blacks. Ireland beat them the last 2 times they played and won 5 out of their 8 last matches. Yet everyone expects NZ to walk over Ireland even now a week after a full strength NZ had their worst defeat in history. I think Ireland have as good a chance to top their group and Scotland could also get out. Scotland have probably been focusing more on beating SA in their preparation over beating Ireland in order to survive the group so they could really help Ireland. Club rugby is on fire in Ireland and the 33 man squad is going into the World Cup missing only one of their first choice selections. Who else can say that? This team is mentally tough so past world cups will not effect the score boards.
They look like a shiney dark horse to me but what am I missing?
There's nothing better than hoping my friend, so hope on. Ireland might just surprise us all and progress to the semis. But then again, my hope is to end the year with a few millions in my banking account. At the moment my balance is zero
You’re not missing anything. Ireland are the most disciplined side, which will be important regarding cards, they have a good senior leadership group, which you need to win a RWC, a great coach, and outstanding set piece prowess. Set piece is essential in low scoring, defence dominated WC rugby. Everyone is overlooking home pressure on France - how will they cope chasing their first RWC?
It's just history - we are still not used to seeing Ireland perform well in RWC's.
Ireland are fantastic and have earned their No.1 spot - so I agree with you (Bok Supporter)
@@terrencepeters9203 I suppose I’m saying Ireland bank account is on about 750K 9 months into the year while some of the other favorites must be planning to deposit a mattress full of cash after the Christmas holidays. Which could be the case.

Its gutting being an Ireland supporter. Dominating European rugby and indeed beating the All Black's last autumn. When it comes to the RWC the luck goes against us and that side of the draw is lethal. Hopefully, for once, we can go a step further.
I'm supporting both the Boks and Ireland, but if Ireland wants to graduate they have to pass the hardest test. World cups are never easy, everybody raises their game
I am a Bok supporter and I think Ireland are in with a real chance. Definitely not writing them off.
Beast pretty much nailed that
Interesting to see everyone dismiss Ireland, it's pretty unique to rugby that you can have a team beating 9 out of the teams ranked in the top 10 in the last year or so, win a grand slam, beat New Zealand on their own turf and still be the underdog against SA, France and NZ. SA and NZ have all the history of course, France are at home, but not sure they have a mental edge just because Ireland have lost so many quarter finals. Shaping to be a great RWC (that side of the pool in particular, unbalanced as it is)
They were spot on tho

Miss watching the beast play. What a legend
I'm a All Blacks supporter but I'm so excited to see some real contenders. Of course I want the AB's to win but I feel the Boks can go back to back. But I also feel Ireland can take it out. Hoping for the Island brothers to upset a few heavyweight teams. It's going to be a awesome world cup 🏆

Right, this was recorded last year, right? Before England imploded?
France to beat South Africa at what ever stage of the tournament, either in the quarters or the final. Thus making up for that 1995 semi final when France scored a late try that was not awarded, the ref then got a gold watch.
Because of this farcical draw the quarterfinals are really the semis
Why are all pod cast under rating France, Ireland, Scotland ,Australia, England, Wales
