Great car, but now totally unloved where I live, may as well be a Skoda in today's market, sad but true. The Mazda MX5 demands a premium, the SLK 55 is seen as a joke. Still I love the retro McClaran looks and that sound, I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It sits quite nicely beside my BMW Z4M roadster, for me quite a treat to see every time I look into the garage...
What about the gearshifting ? Yet being AMG fitted with an automatic gearbox it seems pretty much efficient in upshifting,but I wonder about quick downshifting. The former 320 AMG slk 32 (serie R170) was fitted with an awful automatic gearbox....
unfortunately the gearshifting is not very fast, especially when downshifting. the response from when you touch the paddle to when actually shift down is quite slow
@@vik-530 Thanks for your answer :-) Since the late 90es I felt truly disappointed with MB-AMG policy about fitting their awesome vehicles with a fully inadequate shifting gear....A reason must be there ! Being AMG series a high end product they had to offer a choice between the comfortable automatic transmission and a sporty 5/6 gears manual shiftgear.... No way :) I guess things have been changing since a few years though.

Allora, per quanto riguarda i costi ci sono: Bollo circa 1500€ all'anno Treno gomme circa 700€ Tagliando completo con tutti filtri, candele e liquido freni sei a 1500€ in Mercedes Consumi dipende come corri ma col V8 che canta farai fatica a fare 7km/l Da mantenere diciamo che è abbastanza dispendiosa..dopo di quella ho avuto un cayman S black edition e a parte il bollo i costi di gestione erano molto più contenuti però il 5.5 V8 AMG è qualcosa di spettacolare, poi con una mappa sali a quasi 400cv ed è ancora più bella!
Rogne io sui 70000km ho rotto la scatola dello sterzo..ti consiglio di prendere il pre restyling xk sec me è più affidabile ed ha l'impianto frenante a 6 pistoncini davanti e 4 dietro, cosa che il restyling non ha a meno che non prendi la restyling performance ma il prezzo è molto alto. Un altro problema che può avere è al cambio e lo possono avere le prime versioni è c'è da cambiare un pezzo ma con 400€ te la cavi. Con la scatola dello sterzo invece io ne avevo spesi 1800
