Just a tip - if you're trying to do close ups, just take some close up photos and insert them over the top of your video as you're talking so we can see it, you can hold it as close as it gets but you cant see any details
Prequel Jedi did not have hooks on their belts for their saber hilts in the films. They used a certain type of 'clip'. The "D" ring on the hilts and hooks are exclusively OT - the toys reflect this.

In ANH is when the D ring was introduced and actually the whole lightsaber changed... changed again in ESB, and changed again in TFA. At first glance no one would see, but for some reason, they're all different, but said its the same.
Jabba is actually articulated at the "waist". The vinyl just gets stuck, but it's durable so you can "force" it --unless there's some defect, and the force will not work on him as in the movie.

Great Video. Jabba is bad for the price but he's a must have character for any Star Wars collector. I totally agree that the Emperor should have come with a lot more and a functional cane. I haven't got Anakin yet but i do see your point with the head sculpt. I'm expecting to get Maul today. However i believe there is a similar issue with the plastic molded clothing. Hampering some of the articulation.

I spend some of my work day browsing some of your older videos as always I thoroughly enjoyed this. It is still disappointing years later that we don't have an Emperor Palpatine with a throne other than that Comic-Con exclusive.

anakins saber uses a peg and not the hook and loop like lukes is because that is the actual designs of the sabers. the original trilogy actually hooked and looped their sabers into their belts whereas in the new trilogy they had a small disc looking thing that slid into a housing into their belt.
Totally agree! Maybe I would swap around IG-88 and Finn, as I was really Disappointed mainly by the lack of accessories that came with Finn, and after seeing the movie there's way more he could've come with! ...But that's just my opinion, and nonetheless great video!
Jabba's head can turn, it's just that his plastic is so soft that I think it causes it to stick. And since if you leave him on the shelf for months on end and have no reason to change the angle of his head I think the joint might fuse making him even more difficult to turn and possibly break. The least they could have done was give him the damn Hooka Pipe, I believe the SDCC version had the Hooka and Salacious Crumb, if they wanted to have an exclusive version, leave Salacious Crumb as the exclusive pack-in and give the Hookah to the regular release. But that promotes smoking and we all know how that makes everybody feel.
The dreaded Yoda robe. I fixed my 3 3/4 scale Yoda by carfully using a lighter to singe the edges, but that uses a polyester cloth so it kinda melts into a seem. Doubt it would work on the 6 inch scale, different fabric me thinks. That's a sensible list, agree with 9 to 1 for sure. Ani is ok if you get lucky on the paint job which can be rare and I don't like the light saber peg either. Great video dude. Ben Affleck joke was hilarious.
+Cho Cho I had a hard time picking number 10. I chose Anakin mostly because of the lightsaber nubbin and his tendency to fall over randomly. Yoda's robe is awful, you can even see on the video where a strand fell off and landed on my table. I think there are a few customizers online that sell better ones, but I hate spending more money on these little guys, especially when Yoda was already $20 for $10 worth of figure. I agree with The Emperor figure, it really dose seem as if they did not factor Darth Sidious into him at all and only his depiction in ROTJ, except he cant sit and no force lightning even?? He needed to come with light-sabers an alternate head before the Mace battle, Force lightning and the cane. maybe even a deluxe edition with the chair.
Great list, I agree on most points. I do actually like Palpatine, I think the only thing that brings down the robe is that fact that the hood isn't the right shape which really bugs me. Other than that I think he is just not overly liked because we were expecting to get this awesome Emperor figure from the OT and can a half-assed attempt at best. He should've came with way more accessories and had a correctly shaped hood.

I like the Flametrooper and Snowtrooper. They pegwarm here too, and I dont understand it. Troop builders should be harder to get. I remember having a tough time finding the original Stormtrooper.

I didn't buy that shirt the day it was offered on TeeFury. I regretted it about a week later. I've been waiting for them to have it again in one of their collections, but so far I haven't seen it. Maybe when GotG2 comes out they'll create a collection for it.

Most of the black series are molds from the 3.75 inch just increase in size. If you notice they release the same obi wan in the 3.75 that explains why the saber has a hole on is Balt instead of the hook.
No, that’s actually not correct. The reason prequel characters have a hole with a peg instead of a hook is the prequel era had a different kind of clasp system. It’s actually more accurate from the movie.

If you look at the obi wan it’s the same as the 3.75 revenge of the sith (atleast one of the different Obi-Wans they made from that movie) even General grievous it’s a mold from one of the 3.75 figures they made

Groce! Leia & Greedo slave leia that is, in both B& N & Disney Store BEFORE TFA came out,& b4 The D store ceased selling Hasbro products, had them on clearance by the bucket for 4.99!! I feel Rey should have been on here as well. Hasbro failed that figure with the light paints over dark plastic, I can see the brown plastic coming through the pale paint on two of my figures for Rey. Her articulation and hand grips were awful as well. I loved Rey in the force awakens and this figure was a major disappointment for me personally. I hope that they make the Jedi/ end of the movie version for Rey with a better head sculpt, better paint and better articulation.
which is awkward because i put her in my top.. but mostly because I love BB-8 so much. I feel like the version 2 of Rey has waaay better paint and face than the original. But you're right about the articulation and hand grips.

The reason anakins lightsaber is the plug unlike the likes who has the hoop is because in episode 3 it was like that most Jedi lightsabers was like that they sell a clip just like this for cosplay and maybe the reason Anakin keeps falling over is because obi wan is force pushing him over 😂😂😂

i wish i did. but his only accessory is a cane that's too short to actually touch the ground. and a hard plastic skirt that makes it so he can't do the main thing he did in RotJ.. sit. I really hope hasbro revisits the Emperor, it could have been so good.
I love the face sculpt. Plus, the soft goods for once, lay very well. The hood actually lays on his head like it should too, unlike Kylo Ren's black series hood. But, hey, to each his own. ;) I also love my Anakin figure. LOL
you know, i might take another stab at this list in a few months or next year. A few comments have swayed Anakin off the list for me. But Obi-Wan is still there. Mostly because they released him twice. TWICE.

Ugly Mofo Predator It's not about the eyes. It's the whole sculpt. And it's incredibly inaccurate, the figure is supposed to be based off the return of the jedi design. Vader didn't have the red tint on the eyes in VI.
Yeah I know, the sdcc exclusive figures are the only ones I'm missing. I just can't justify their cost vs what you get. $40 was already too much to spend on Jabba without the extra $5 worth of plastic. They should have come with the regular retail release too.

I wanted young Obi Wan Black Series, but could never bring myself to buy it when I saw it. All of the Episode 7 figures you listed are just not that good looking, especially when you compare them to others.
Why is everybody complaining about finn he's not a bad figure if you think about it the fn-2187 the head is much smaller and it looks so sad for me kylo ren will always be my number 1 favorite black series figure
his likeness isnt great, and he's kinda plain. I love Finn as a character, and i've warmed up to this toy. He's not on my top 10 worst anymore, but i still dont like him as much as some of my other pieces in my collection. He's just not very interesting to look at.
He's definitely a stinker, that's for sure. As a whole he's not a good figure. He has the worst likeness of any black series made so far, but that's really his only problem. He has a decent amount of accessories, and his body sculpt is pretty great! Lots of detail! I just felt like numbers 7-1 had bigger issues than a sad looking face. Thanks for watching!

Although I'm not a big collector of 6" figures, i did get the earlier waves of Hasbro ones and was reasonably ok with them and didn't bother to go for the more expensive SH figuarts and the like, unless I had spare cash, but the new TFA figures quality sucks so much I got my first larger scale TFA figure from SHF instead of Hasbro. I couldn't pay money for that dull, plump cheap-plastic looking excuse for an action figure that Hasbro came up with.......
True, gotta choose between Hasbro, SHF, Mafex and Bandai model kits etc or a combination of figures and accessories from each brands to get the ultimate figure. No gets everything right....
I haven't seen the Mafex or the Bandai one, but the sculpt and articulation of the SHF one combined with the soft goods of the Hasbro one seems like it would be good to me. I've actually seen people take the cloth off the Hasbro one and putting it on the SHF one.

It's a good figure but the cloth (especially in the hood section) and the weird angled elbow joint gets me. The helmet looks rad but the cloth makes me want to burn him down. Can't wait to get myself a Medicom Mafex one as a replacement.

Nah. Toys are made to be opened and displayed. I'm collecting because I like them, not because they may be worth something some day. Plus I did keep all the boxes, and they're resealable.

But now collectors have this idea in their head, so a lot more are available because of this and a lot more were made compared to figures from 30 years ago. The very first wave of the 6 inch black series is now valued at £210-$301 retail price at time of release was £79.96, certain figure such as stormtroopers have remain around the same price due to over whelming production due to collector wishing to army build, I.e surplus product available. Constable Zuvio is a pretty useless figure as not in film, though may turn out to be one of the most collectible in years to come!

100% agreed with all of this! A hookah would have pushed this figure back over to the "not a rip off for MSRP pricing".

I like the Flametrooper and Snowtrooper. They pegwarm here too, and I dont understand it. Troop builders should be harder to get. I remember having a tough time finding the original Stormtrooper.

The issue with both Poe figures is paint wise not sculpt wise there repaints of the same head that looks like Oscar Isaac.
yeah i've seen some better paint jobs and on Poe and a few other Black Series heads. The sculpts are fine, it's 100% a shitty paint job. You're right.

Most of the black series are molds from the 3.75 inch just increase in size. If you notice they release the same obi wan in the 3.75 that explains why the saber has a hole on is Balt instead of the hook.
No, that’s actually not correct. The reason prequel characters have a hole with a peg instead of a hook is the prequel era had a different kind of clasp system. It’s actually more accurate from the movie.

If you look at the obi wan it’s the same as the 3.75 revenge of the sith (atleast one of the different Obi-Wans they made from that movie) even General grievous it’s a mold from one of the 3.75 figures they made

Groce! Leia & Greedo slave leia that is, in both B& N & Disney Store BEFORE TFA came out,& b4 The D store ceased selling Hasbro products, had them on clearance by the bucket for 4.99!! Boushh Leia is a very decent figure. But great list man. I've never laid eyes on Ani/3PO/R2 or Yoda.

I feel Rey should have been on here as well. Hasbro failed that figure with the light paints over dark plastic, I can see the brown plastic coming through the pale paint on two of my figures for Rey. Her articulation and hand grips were awful as well. I loved Rey in the force awakens and this figure was a major disappointment for me personally. I hope that they make the Jedi/ end of the movie version for Rey with a better head sculpt, better paint and better articulation.
which is awkward because i put her in my top.. but mostly because I love BB-8 so much. I feel like the version 2 of Rey has waaay better paint and face than the original. But you're right about the articulation and hand grips.

I love the face sculpt. Plus, the soft goods for once, lay very well. The hood actually lays on his head like it should too, unlike Kylo Ren's black series hood. But, hey, to each his own. ;)

Ugly Mofo Predator It's not about the eyes. It's the whole sculpt. And it's incredibly inaccurate, the figure is supposed to be based off the return of the jedi design. Vader didn't have the red tint on the eyes in VI.

I wanted young Obi Wan Black Series, but could never bring myself to buy it when I saw it. All of the Episode 7 figures you listed are just not that good looking, especially when you compare them to others.
My favorite ones are the First Order troopers and the Imperial ones, that's all I'm collecting. Not so much into the rebels soldiers.

his likeness isnt great, and he's kinda plain. I love Finn as a character, and i've warmed up to this toy. He's not on my top 10 worst anymore, but i still dont like him as much as some of my other pieces in my collection. He's just not very interesting to look at.
When Poe was 8 I was surprised. It has to be the worst in my opinion.
He's definitely a stinker, that's for sure. As a whole he's not a good figure. He has the worst likeness of any black series made so far, but that's really his only problem. He has a decent amount of accessories, and his body sculpt is pretty great! Lots of detail! I just felt like numbers 7-1 had bigger issues than a sad looking face. Thanks for watching!

Although I'm not a big collector of 6" figures, i did get the earlier waves of Hasbro ones and was reasonably ok with them and didn't bother to go for the more expensive SH figuarts and the like, unless I had spare cash, but the new TFA figures quality sucks so much I got my first larger scale TFA figure from SHF instead of Hasbro. I couldn't pay money for that dull, plump cheap-plastic looking excuse for an action figure that Hasbro came up with.......
SH Figuarts Kylo Ren sucks compared to Black Series Kylo Rem thought.
True, gotta choose between Hasbro, SHF, Mafex and Bandai model kits etc or a combination of figures and accessories from each brands to get the ultimate figure. No gets everything right....
I haven't seen the Mafex or the Bandai one, but the sculpt and articulation of the SHF one combined with the soft goods of the Hasbro one seems like it would be good to me. I've actually seen people take the cloth off the Hasbro one and putting it on the SHF one.

It's a good figure but the cloth (especially in the hood section) and the weird angled elbow joint gets me. The helmet looks rad but the cloth makes me want to burn him down. Can't wait to get myself a Medicom Mafex one as a replacement.

The very first wave of the 6 inch black series is now valued at £210-$301 retail price at time of release was £79.96, certain figure such as stormtroopers have remain around the same price due to over whelming production due to collector wishing to army build, I.e surplus product available. Constable Zuvio is a pretty useless figure as not in film, though may turn out to be one of the most collectible in years to come!
