That speech of yours is quite extreme, having a b plan when you not succed....I have been sailing all my life and a few years ago I was finally able to buy a performance catamaran and there for me I actually look at a b plan in the sense how I am going to improve the situation
Yes, you just need to run more straight into the wind vs across to push yourself off the beach. Onshore wind can actually help create more lift as well, just generally harder to travel farther into the wind if you are not starting form some sort of elevation. The wind was actually side onshore in the clip jumping out of the building as well.
