just found you channel and i can happliy say these are some of best videos to come out of IL-2..i particulary was blown away by the video where you a P-38 J landed on a stuka..this game really puts games like war thunder to shame for its damage model....its the best damage i`ve seen in a WW2 air combat sim allow metal to bend, twist and contort like no other.....P.S no one i`ve seen war thunder or IL-2 seems to know how to lead torps onto a target...pilots keep kamikaze driving torps to point blank range which is so lacking in skill......to hit a destroyer move at speed your need to target in your left or right window...and they need to learn how to judge what 3 km range looks like and stop shooting the torp ethier straight at the target or aiming just for the bow..they will most 90% of the time unless the destroyer is only doing 2 knots.... if you can learn the travel time of a torp..time to 3km range...while approaching the destroyer you need to do some target motion analysis...look at the DD and count how long it takes him to go from postion A the to a new postion..to give you a rough idea of his speed..
Man this really makes me wish we had torpedoes (without a mod). If someone in their free time can make this happen, with no financial compensation... then how hard could it be for the developers to implement it?
The developer has been yelled at a lot by purists who want the game to be "exactly" as it was in WW2. So the developer refuses to do torpedoes because they were not used on any of the maps currently in game (as of late 2021).

Dcs where a plane gets shredded before it can typically engage
DCS: where a plane explodes when you do literally anything
