- Once you've cleared the starting outpost and got your MCV, deploy in the west side of the concrete and work on blowing up the bridge and taking out the Veinhole.
Get out several Harvesters (5-7) and some supporting units for the bridge. spread a few RPG Turrets in your base, to ward off any Devil's Tongues.
Towards the south east of this area (by the shore) get out an EMP Cannon and work on an APC, Sensor, and Mammoth Mk.II as well as a Carryall for each. Scout the SAMs to the SE out with a few Jumpjets, when the area is revealed EMP it.
Send your Engineer laden APC, Mammoth Mk. II and Sensor over.
Deploy the Sensor and capture this island (at least the Stealth Generator and Missile Silo anyway) You'll be in a good position, and will no longer have to worry about Cluster Missiles.
Build a second Weapons Factory here and a few Titans to back up your Mammoth Mk. II. Get working on some Engineers and an Ion Cannon. Advance over the bridge and take out the Obelisk. Now run in to their base and capture it. No Cyborg Commando to back up your Mammoth Mk.II, but oh well. Artilleries and a couple of MRVs will help GREATLY. You'll be able to shell the island, and drop your Mammoth Mk.II in to finish this section off.
This leaves the base in the top left, which should be easy now.
Take out any Artillery with Super Weapons/ORCA Bombers and then use your own Titans/Mammoth Mk.II/Artillery attack force to mop up.

The Juggernauts are amazing for both siege and defense. Both of them end up being really great and undermine a lot of early defensive strategies. The stats on both are similar but the Juggernaut is actually a faster vehicle.
it was ment to be part of tiberian sun ,but EA forced weestwood to release the base game before they where happy with the balance..classic EA. @@christophermilton5873

Just playing backwards through the series and I gotta say, strategy wise, this game is underrated compared to the rest - actually gives you some good challenges
Probably the most balanced C&C as well. There's no real gimmicky ways to play levels like in later installments and no real way to exploit AI as in earlier entries. Best atmosphere on the whole too and it plays its universe straight like a Sci-fi world should.
@@iCABALi Well, there is Nod Artillery :P But yeah, Tib Sun had an amazing atmosphere if perhaps held back by the graphics of the time and being limited to a snowy map and a generic brown map with occasional bits of foliage. OTOH, Tib Sun is probably the game that nailed the terraforming of the Earth to a Tiberium world best, especially with veinholes, Tiberium creatures, and ion storms to really hammer it home (and it got even better in Firestorm where they added a lot more Tiberium flora too).

Memories... Much improved over the original C&C. Its actually worth it to plays as nod. The Artillery and flame tank are actually useful.

I have seen the gameplays from others for this remarkable mission. All them works. But yours, is my favourite for this last mission.
Artillery is the definition of over powered
High damage, out of sight range, rapid fire, quick to build numbers of. Nah I don't see a problem with that

They really DON'T make great games like this anymore... This had SUCH atmosphere, like all the early Dune and C&C games (and the 1990s Doom games, NFS games, etc.).

Tiberian Sun and Tiberian Wars are by far my most favourite games in any genre.. Too bad Twilight was lousy.. Could've been a great ending with the return of the Mammoth walker and the Titan which were two of my favourite units from Tiberian Sun..
I know I'm a year old, but check out Twisted Insurrection. It's pretty good.

If I remember correctly I believe I took my engineer and captured that refinery right off the bat, but to be honest though it's been so long I don't remember.

artillery was so good in original tib sun, sucks that they had to down its accuracy in firestorm
I didn't find it too much of a problem, it tended only to be faster units that it missed. And the faster units were quite light armoured. So Tick Tanks complemented them well.
Ahh hell no. Nod artillery was goddamn overpowered in TS. I can't tell you how many missions (like the ones where you have to escort Umagon around) that I've failed for simply getting surprise assaulted by artillery from unknown position

when you play as gdi you can capture deployed nod artillery by pressing ctrl+alt and click near deployed artillery. you got one nod artillery while playing as gdi :)
Anyone remember what mission is that your on a big snow map and you have to cross is mostly titans?
This one mission has stuck in my head for years and never left and would like to see someone play it...
This is all i got, it was a snow map and i remember commanding like 10 to 15 titans across the snow barrens...

If EA played their cards right they could have a game to contend with Blizzard's Starcraft.
+Spaceman Spliff Just because C&C never really adopted the whole e-sports mentality, doesn't mean C&C wasn't as good as Starcraft.
Warcraft is better than Starcraft in my opinion, and is more akin to C&C than Starcraft.
Starcraft is unit spam whilst Warcraft and C&C value what you do with the units you have more (up until Generals for C&C anyway)
Starcraft isn't even that good in my opinion. I think that CnC TD remake will be in eSports. Tho i don't have much faith in that because -ea- ... I bet 10000$ that original release only have GDI campaign and Nod comes in somesort of DLC. Greedy bastards..

Absolutely brutal and efficient strategy, you manage to achieve a lot using only few units. I have one gripe with this though... when you capture the nod island with the missile silo and the pyramid - if you hadn't sold hand of nod, could you have built the cyborg commando?

13:30 shows quite clearly he had the option to build the cyborgs while the hand of nod was captured.
SuperEdo07 cyborg commando, not the run of the mill cyborg. There's a huge difference between the two; the biggest being that the cyborg commando requires the temple of nod.

Is there a specific reason why I cant see the whole map? I can barely see the missile silo in the SE. I cannot move down the rest of the map to see the whole island.
Hey man, I know your comment was a few months back n you might have figured it out by now, but if not, just move your units south of the first bridge to the east and you should hear "new terrain discovered"and the rest of the map will be uncovered then for you

Man.. that reminds me back when I played C&C back in 97 or so.. I could not get past GDI mission 7 xD I just got shit on all over the place (I was 7 back then)
I know we ask that why we ask.
This mission is the reason I dropped the game I couldn't even build a base as I kept getting rushed by artillery, rocket soldiers, and tanks. It felt like the AI would purposefully send units that would counter the ones I used to defend and the missiles that were being launched at my base every couple of minutes didn't help. I don't know how you do it but it just felt frustrating being pressured by time and a lot of different attack patterns and I just uninstalled the game
Blow up the bridge in your area and cover the repair hut with concrete walls, the west base will never send units to you again after the first engineer can't get to the hut. Don't explore south until after you destroy the two same sites in front of the missile silo base with hovercraft and land some carryalls with units on that bit of land poking out, then explore south and take over the pyramid/missile silo base. You'll only take a few missiles at the most. The far south base's attacks can also be stopped by tricking one of their tick tanks into deploying in the narrow pass between the two blue tiberium fields and blocking themselves out, or you can just build like six RPG towers just above that narrow pass. Then it's just clean up duty.

I always had way more fun just attacking their base with titans and wolverines, always felt like i was cheating when i would take advantage of the shitty AI's inability to protect against engineers or easy bombing runs that don't go too close to SAMs
TD, TSFS and RA1 engineers is way OP.. Gladly WW/ -ea- downgraded engineers. It's really unfair.

Ctrl + Click is how you force target the ground or friendly structures.

Tiberian Dawn, though it's more than an Easter Egg, it's a direct reference, because old structures and units constantly pop up and are part of the Nod story in one part.
