- Amusing story of how I acquired a 1963 Gottlieb "Slick Chick" pinball machine.
Pinball Stories are short, sometimes amusing, often interesting monologues about where pinball machines come from. We hear a lot about the games and their themes, but not much about the provenance and "the hunt" to find them and the trials and tribulations of acquisition. In this series I try to tell the story behind each individual machine.

This is one of Wayne Neyen's favorite games. An amazing complicated machine. Multi ways to win, most people rate it as the best one made.
A guy named Sornie had a ton of these silly Slick Chick games and claimed...,every collector wants one. I was over there a month later, and he still had them. After pressing him a bit, he stated he couldn't even get $50.00 for one. That nutty Sornie!
Well, apparently they hold their value. I got one for the same price. In 1976.
Great story I'm waiting to have a story like that to tell myself one day. Thanks for taking the time.
If ever there was a machine deserving a complete restoration …. well this is a perfect contender. It wasn’t originally beaten up, scratched, rusted and filthy. …. It is capable of playing much better. It’s such a great game. … shouldn’t be left in such ordinary condition.
That wife was the real ‘Slick Chick’
Haha! Good story! Never heard of this EM, would of liked more gameplay footage. Theme obviously a rip off of Playboy, but, who cares. How about a video of restoring that rough cabinet? Thanks!
mine is foe sale
Haha her husband must have been all bitter
