You know the phrases "namjoon is healing, yoongi is comfort, hoseok is hope" and "namjoon analyzes the world, yoongi criticizes the world, hoseok visualizes the world" that's what persona, shadow, and ego are. And damn these hit hard is2g
*"We are now going progress to some steps which are a bit more difficult ready set and begin"* hit different LIKE THEY WENT WAY BACK TO THE DEBUT TRAILER *the memories I had*
Intro: Persona is like RMs style, which kinda depends, Joonie’s style is vague, there’s variety in it and persona gives us his Hip Hop style. Interlude: Shadow has yoongis style, a darker concept with amazingly powerful rapping and a new side of him singing. And Outro: Ego has hobi’s style. It’s upbeat and poppy. And it just gives sunshine, happy vibes like our sunshine himself, hope💛.
When J Hope was driving you can see the signs that point to where the future is and he is driving at full speed in the opposite direction. He says in the beginning how everyday he thinks about his past self even from the day before. This right here, is a very greatfull man. He appreciates every day of his life. ARMY FOREVER💜💜💜
"This is sunshine type sh*t" "Aww look at jhope he's been smiling since birth" *YOU ARE RIGHT he's the most happiest person, warm like a sunshine & he never stops smiling* 💝☀

The very beginning was bts’ debut trailer so that’s why it had such a old school vibe to it. Ego is such a Hobi song, now we gotta wait for the album i-😭
I don’t know, although the song seems cheerful, the lyrics themselves are quite dark. I know that I paid attention to only the beat at first, but I feel like we’re all missing the message he’s trying to send.
I think its not really dark, more like HEAVY. He's singing about all the hardships he's faced throughout the years, and it's quite heavy and loaded and introspective. Its definitely not all sunshines and rainbows, but despite the thorns, doubts, and fears he's still moving forward - at HIS own pace and that's inspiring 🥺 I love Hoseok so much
I think you're right! I think this record followed the same path as Daydream. For Daydream he explained (paraphrasing) that he thought it would be more interesting to take the heavy unpleasant feelings that come along with being an idol and put them into an upbeat cheerful song. He thought it would be received by fans better than dark and depressing. We're so used to seeing Hobi in that "bright" sunshine vibe, how would ARMY's react to him really and truly showing the insecurity, depression and heaviness he's felt in the raw? He was concerned about that.
TheyKnowItsHibs 01 Saw on twtr ~ the woman singing the background vocals near the end is Not Queen Adora; her name is Summer Greer from LA. @//sumsumgreer
Yesss my apologies. It is Summer! When I first commented everyone kept saying it was Adora. But I completely forgot about my comment 😭. Thank you for correcting 💜
It's actually more than just a vibe! He's reflecting on all the tough times he had before they made it and how hard it was growing up with the uncertainty of whether his dream is worth it. Especially when he says "The life of not J-hope, but Jung Hoseok flashes by, it must've been filled with regret until the day I die...blaming my dream asking why I live and breathe" Basically he thinks about the life he'd have if he didn't make it and how he might have ended up resenting his choice to pursue dance/music and how everyone who doubted him would have been right. BUT NOW it has all worked out, so despite those scary memories/thoughts coming back once in a while he's able to keep that anxiety at bay and say "I don't care, I'm going my way, trust myself" etc.
Persona : Namjoon analyzes the world Shadow : Yoongi criticizes the world Ego : hoseok visualizes the world well, at this point the kpop agencies looking at Persona, Shadow, Black Swan, and Ego confused as fvck on which sound they should all copy for their artists next comeback lmao BTS IS THE STANDARD wbk
Our amazing Jhope gave us clues to this song on James Corden. James was asking what the members do if they forget a dance move. Hobi answered, "Mmm..I don't care." Listening to him repeat the same line in EGO was perfect. They continue to give us clues. Cannot wait to hear what Tae has up his sleeve with his, "I'm shy," reply he has said a few times. Bravo to you Hobi! The song is another masterpiece. One a side note, I love how he made sure Becky G/ Chicken Noodle Soup(chickens on the fence) was well represented. Cheers you guys! Thanks for posting. I purple you...forever Army fam. 💜
What I love about Jhope's music is that it is very bright and cheery on the surface, but if you analyze it you realize it is more deep than what meets the eye. Not to say it isn't bright, but I get a "smile through the pain" vibe from a lot of his lyrics here and in other songs like Daydream and Airplane. It's about reflecting on your painful past and regrets, but then looking toward to the future with a positive perspective. Love it.
Literally all of the members are so different. Like ALL are so versatile yet have a certain style that suits them iconically. Jhope such good vibes, he knows how to make ppl smile. A whole VIBE
this song is actually really deep and self reflective if you read the lyrics! we always call him the sunshine happy boy but he’s so much more than that, everyone sleeps on how smart and profound he is with his lyrics they’re so moving!!
J-Hope is an atmosphere changer wherever he is in whatever he's doing. Straight facts. Everyone's been saying the same exact thing, how this song suits him so well. Totally agree & glad you guys enjoyed the brassy vibes. You can see how this relates back to their old stuff too!! So well done.
The very beginning of the song is a sample from their very first album. Like with Shadow and Persona, after seven years they’re going back to their roots.
the truth is that I don't understand English very well, but I love to see their reactions Although it is not very difficult to know that they are enjoying the video, since they always have a surprise face, I love it💜💜
Ego is interesting because despite how upbeat it is, the lyrics are quite deep. I'm going to quote yoongi on this "You hear hope when Hoseok sings". It takes a special person to be so deep and hard hitting and raw with their lyrics without becoming super depressing. On top of that it's an interesting response to Persona and Shadow, where it was "who am I" and Namjoon claiming all of his past selves, while still trying to figure out who he is now, and "I am you" with Yoongi struggling with his monster and ultimately coming to terms with the fact that it is part of him. And now there's Ego. Where Hoseok says "that way, way, way // only ego, ego, ego" and that "the life of Jung Hoseok who is not J-Hope flashes across my mind". He's come to terms with the fact that there will be regrets and thoughts that will follow him like ghosts that pop up from time to time, even though he's locked them away, but time flows and you just go go go, and even if everything--including himself--is changing, there's always a him that is never changing and he just has to trust himself and wow. I love Ego so much
At 6:03 when you asked “who’s that?” It’s adora a bighit producer you can usually hear her doing background vocals in many songs I suggest you react to “ a guide to the bighit producers”
Shout out to your quote of the day Fam Also In the highway scene on the green signs: he is NOT driving towards his future, he is driving away from it. Driving in that direction would be prohibited as one sign states yet he does exactly that. Interpret that how you want but I think you can't really twist that Ego is actually about pushing through, accepting "that's what it is" , even though you can't help but be asking questions like - "how much love, how much joy" am I giving /getting from this. And "am I making my past self happy?" Yet there is no going back, no exit, (the exit sign was shown in shadow and in ego multiple times) In the end you just have to "calm yourself down... Alone" and you have to "not care, that's what it is". You just have to 'trust in yourself' and that everything is right. Doesn't matter how exhausted you are and being revived (hospital) Also (him falling in the beginning of the mv and later hospital) hospital and the umbrella later connects to the story line in wich he meets jimin in hospital and Jimin is pared with a black umbrella (hoseok also end up with an umbrella here The song is also heavily pared with Hoseok's Solo Mama and lyric wise with boy meets evil and blood sweat and tears And I could reference and have so much to say but I have no time for that and I wouldn't know when to stop

BTS just keeps raising the bar. Honestly, I love this new song and it's awesome to see JHope singing. He's a fantastic rapper but they're all so talented, they can do it all rather than limiting themselves to certain roles (unless they want to of course). Like JK and Namjoon's cover of Only Fools Fall, when they do things in their own style they always create something inspiring and heartwarming.
I expected your reaction to this art, I love your reactions to all the songs of both BTS and other groups❤️ You die together with us because of the theories in Ego🤣

persona, shadow and ego all have elements of old intros that each of them did. that’s why ready, set and begin is repeated throughout the video. it’s from an old intro hoseok did.
Yessssssss firsttttttttttt also how do yall be early asf didnt it just come out a few hours ago and how did yall edit that fast. Yall are feeding us well🥺
The girls voice at the backround is ADORA she's amazing producer and singer. I think she's the only producer in bighit if i am correct. She's been in a lot of songs at the backrounds for example seesaw
I was waiting for this thank you guys and I will start paying more attention to the interviews because is the late late show with James when he asked him what will you do if you forget a dance move he said 𝐢 𝐝𝐨𝐦𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 like ego and idc what anybody says but I feel like that was a hint .

The J's Tailor shop was based on the "Kingsmen" movies by Matthew Vaughn.

persona, shadow and ego all have elements of old intros that each of them did. that’s why ready, set and begin is repeated throughout the video. it’s from an old intro hoseok did.
6:03 *SHE IS ADORA* BIGHIT'S BACK VOCAL ... SHE SANG MOST OF THE BACK VOCAL'S IN BTS' SONGSS
리액션 영상들 잘 안 보는데 이 채널은 확인하게 됨 단순 감상을 넘어서 가사나 영상을 해석해서 곡을 제대로 이해하려는 모습이 보여💜🤩👍

The girls voice at the backround is ADORA she's amazing producer and singer. I think she's the only producer in bighit if i am correct. She's been in a lot of songs at the backrounds for example seesaw
Guys please please be considerate and do your reaction video after 24 hrs of release please because it effects the views. I hope you understand
