Onegashimas Jesse Sensei. If you can , plz make the episodes longer. I am sure I speak for many , when I say that we cannot get enough and a longer episode will just be even more enlightening. Perhaps even , show more of the actual training if you can or your personal training that you do on your own before starting the days events. Keep up the informative and thoroughly entertaining videos. Domo haregatho namasta.

Jessee Sensei it is so inspiring the way you share your ideas about Karate, it is also very beautiful how you want to spread this dedicated, passionate and humble way to see the relationship between an apprentice and Senseis when you said that you felt it right to wear a white belt instead tour black one, and finally it was very gratifying seeing a Chilean flag jn the dojo bar!!! Greeting and best regards from a Kenshin ryu / Tokuinkan from Chile

Bravo! World class educational video. Thank you for sharing, I learned so much from you once again. Your videos are philosophical, they are not just about karate! Karate as life, life as karate, it’s all one! Bravo! And how the heck do you get a high ranking Don you just met in your first lesson to agree to a camera? That’s something I can’t comprehend. All filmakers need to learn this exceptional skill. So many experts are shy of cameras.

For any of those binging this these days, I had an interesting thought about the forearm bone alignment. It's actually similar to how we roll the shoulder today when we throw straight lead hand punches. That helps to align the bones and land a harder shot.

    Jesse-san,
I have been watching your videos for a while now, and though I don't know you in person I have honestly come to respect and regard you very much as a person and as a karateka (cant say the same about all the martial arts channels I've come across). Even my fiance asks me once in a while "hey aren't you gonna watch that guy today??"
But I gotta say this: the first minutes of this video are probably my favorite of all the content I've seen by you so far; specially between 2:30 and 4:08; what a genuine heartfelt conversation; heavy feels! And also very David Copperfieldish in your remembering of the past, I might add.
Keep up the great channel and the karate life journey! Greetings from Brazil

Really cool that the Sensei tests the character of his students first, rare in today's world.
The three-sectional staff originates from kung fu as did karate. Jet Li and Sammo Hung have done some great fight scenes with it in Hong Kong cinema. As an actual fighting weapon, the Sensei is right: it is hard to control after an impact and you have a decent chance of cracking your own head open.
