    Continuous narrative... a wonderful concept. Simultaneous views of different events at different times.
    When I saw this fresco in Florence I was taken with the halos shown as ellipses (in perspective)

    LOL, Peter's face when he makes the payment is great.
    And the tax collector's legs are unbelievable - probably from all that running away he does when people get angry with him. 😂
    The detail about the leaves falling off of the painting was lovely in a way - I wonder if Masaccio planned for that or it just so happened to winter over time.

    It's strange that he painted Adam & Eva walking towards the light. Shouldn't the light come from the paradise that they were cast out of?
    Maybe he did it because of the continuity with the next painting. And since he wanted the light to come from the right, well... choices choices.
