wow Karyna, that really does look amazing. As my fountain pen collection grows I may have to copy this idea. At the moment I have them in my Pilot Wrap pen holder and my 2 Benu's are held in a small glass jar as they like being upright lol... but I like the idea of having the slidy drawer with the pens on display...😀
Two GLOBAL pen cases, one in tan leather, and a larger in black canvas, both act as pen storage. A Galen 3-pen Crazy Horse leather pouch is my EDC, inked with three pens in my 3-pen system. One from storage is inked iff one pen from the pouch is on empty, cleaned, and put back to storage.
This is tempting. I'm afraid if I got it, I'd buy more pens to fill it.... Mine are currently on a little pen cushion that I sewed on my desk. But I've outgrown it. It's good for my currently inked pens, though. I like to have them visible and in easy each.
I feel the same way, but I did that with the 24 pen case! I like this because of the smaller drawers for smaller ink samples and ink maintenance things (like brass sheets, converters, cartridges, etc).
Hi! don’t use leather so my options are somewhat reduced as it seems to be the favourite material to make travel cases. I use a grey Kaco 20 slots case to store my pens and a fabric roll pen case that goes in my purse/backpack. Edit: Just to say that that acrylic drawer looks soooo nice and maybe we’ll be useful to incorporate more pens in rotation, as they are more visible.
I understand about not using leather. I've heard good things about the Kaco pen case. And with the acrylic drawer, it is nice having the pens visible, but also having one spot for ink samples (that don't fit in the regular ink vial), and other fountain pen maintenance items.
Nice! I've seen people on social media do a similar thing with a case holding four long acrylic drawers. I believe they're storage for art supplies. That might be an option as your collection grows. 😊 I am fussy about light hitting my pens as that can eventually fade some materials, although that may be more of a concern for vintage pens. I have pens all over the place, but most are stored either in Rickshaw rolls (opened to lie flat) or nylon pen cases with elastic straps.
@@marilyngardner4269 I love the Rickshaw rolls and I think they are an amazing option. Who knows? I could end up replacing this in a year or so depending on my taste or preference! 😁
Very timely subject. I have been struggling with how to store my pens. I have pouches, leather roll-up storage, blah blah blah. I am so going to copy your new storage set up. ❤
Be ok with the fact now your collection _is going_ to grow past what you have; to quote Styx's, "you're fooling yourself if you don't believe it, you're kidding yourself if you don't believe it", idk how old you are to know the song, but it seemed appropriate, lol. Enjoy while it's manageable, i'm 8 years in the hobby & i'm whittling down my collection from 63 pens & 46 inks & countless accessories, but the nostalgia of each one is strong! EDIT: I prefer to store my pens in a pen case where the sun wont wear pens down (i got some vintage). I was blessed to have acquired a writing desk i can keep my inks safely away from the sun altering them. May the triune God of the Bible reveal Himself to you in Spirit & objective truth, God bless you Karyna!
Thanks Rob! I think I'm at that place where I know that the pen and ink collection are going to grow, but I am also working on selling any that no longer bring me joy so that it's almost one-in, one-out (well, maybe more realistically three in, one out!). My inks are safely stored in a drawer away from the sun, and I'm in my basement so there isn't a lot of light that comes in here anyway. Thank you!
Hi, I have been wanting to do this for ages but cannot find acrylic drawers that my pens will fit in and when I click on your link, the drawers are only 5.5" deep (I already have several of these) so won't fit most of my pens especially Twisbi which is just over 5.5" long so is this definitely the exact drawers you purchased as they also look different to the ones in your video?

Great video
I'm glad you liked it!
I have that acrylic stand in my cart right now. I'm happy to see that it's good. I'll have to buy it now. Lol! Thank you for sharing!
You're welcome! It's amazing!

I still have my Girologio 24 pen case, a Rickshaw 6pen roll, and the Galen Leather 5 pen case that I use. I don't think I'll ever get rid of those!

@@KarynaLovesToPlan I just realized that I’ve lost the "I" at the beginning so it reads like an imperative 🤦🏻♀️ Not my intention 😬

Glad this was helpful!
Awesome!! Love this!! I might have to come up with something like this too…
It's a great alternative to the leather pen cases!
I really love your Cross Botanica, really debating to get it now or wait...since it's not a limited pen xD I think.
It was a gift from my dad so has sentimental meaning. It should still be available!

look at you go. Now showing storage. 😀
Haha this is one of many. I still have the leather 24pen, a Rickshaw, a Galen Leather… 🙈

So I guess point down in glasses and cups is not the recommended way?
Not always. But if it has worked so far and you haven’t experienced leaking, then stick with what works for you!
Hi, very lovely! I watch Charmaine already, but who is Jen? Can you link her? 😊
Gen is @gens.happyspot on RUclips and Instagram!
