After a very long time i got a interview call from one company and its on 17th of August 2021. It will be my luck if you read my message soon and have a direct contact with me till tomorrow. May be i will get some useful ideas and tips and can discuss with you better about my profile. Would be pleased to hear from you ..Thanks

      Nice. It’s supposed to be a great city. I’m interested in Hamburg, but this would probably be my next choice, and I was thinking about it earlier. Viel Glück.

    Solid tips and ideas. Hopefully this will make the interviews more of a “breeze,” or at least help with some confidence. Having a few solid questions is definitely a good idea. I’ll definitely remember and have about two good ones prepared for certain situations.

    i had my first interview in german recently and it was the most stressful thing i've ever done. actually made me question whether or not i really want to subject myself to the added stress. i really believe the culture suits me though and i'm confused as hell

    I have a question Diana? Do German companies expect to get references from your current workplace or only from past ones? Because Imagine this scenario, you barely begun the process of getting in a job process, and the German company want the references to your current boss? Like dont they see that its kinda not ok to go to your boss and just say, "hey a job im looking for wants to talk with you", like you are ruining your current job in that case, and since its the begining of the process, then you barely gain anything from that risk

    • @jurgenwilhelm5412
      @jurgenwilhelm5412 3 года назад +1

      No, of course you are not expected to send a reference of your current boss - the issues with that are fully understood in Germany. In Germany you get a qualified certificate of your achievments and your behaviour as employee after(!) leaving a company (it's a legal regulation, so "ask" your former employer for it if he does not do it automatically for you). But it is possible to receive a short version of that during your stay at a company (e.g. if your boss changes or you change position). Using this could help to get a reference, if you stay longterm in 1 company.
      And in Germany we are not used to receive personal references by project partners, bosses or anybody else (exception of course if you are a freelancer). Normally the certificate is written and signed by HR and it has a very formal language (due to the legal situation, of course this is a thing only in big companies).

    • @DianaVerry
      @DianaVerry  3 года назад +2

      It will depend on the company, some don’t ask for references. However, the ones that do only ask for it, once you’ve been offered the job (as a final step)

      @@DianaVerry @Jürgen Wilhelm Thank you both Diana and Jurgen for your help, this is a big relief, I was worried I would be put in that situation, which would be extremly akward. Here where I am, you dont tell your current boss about the new job, until you have signed the contract with your new company and you come to quit the job. So hopefully its as you guys explain that its the same understanding in Germany aswell?

    • @karinland8533
      @karinland8533 3 года назад

      @@severusrahl2423 in Germany the earliest you can ask you boss after nine months on the job about a Arbeitszeugnis / reference. The employee has the right to get a truthfull letter of recomandation. There are specific rules for that. Not only when you plan to leave. So every now and then I would ask my boss for a letter of reference.

    I started this note on another one of your videos, but my laptop decided to shut down ... oh well ... you were talking about getting hate comments of Tik Tok, I think ... and I was simply saying what a fricking shame ... You are a wonderful person to watch, you are so informative .. I love watching your videos though I was born and raised in Germany. I left Germany as a child/teenager, after my parents divorced and moved to the US with my Mom and Step-Dad. I have been living/going to school/working in the US. I know nothing about living in Germany, working in Germany, and I am curious. A while back, I received a call from a recruiter in England, and they wanted to know if I would be interested in working for BMW in Germany. Though I did not follow thru with it, I must admit that it planted a small seed in my mind. So, I watch your videos to learn ... you know, just in case ...

    The problem with your channel is that when you were the only one from Germany doing this kind of channel you were giving negative views on ypur perception of germany.....but later many created channels on germany woth posotive perspectives .....so you have lost viewers....i for one used to watch your channel but not anymore.....i watch the others .....now you are trying to bring positive stuff but it's too late......once you lose viewers you will never get them back.🙏
