As an Enschede based and raised person, that Frank & Charlie place is one we often visit when we want to have that 'out of Enschede' feeling. Y'all, that's like having a lil' coffee in the sunshine in some Rotterdam Backalley. Great contribution to the vibe in the city (that street is so much better now) as well!
I used to live in neighboring city Hengelo for 11 years and Enschede always had a special place in my heart. Im thinking of moving to Enschede in the future.
As a German so close to the border I usually go shopping there, and I got to say I love it. I have been to many cities but Enschede is so amazingly designed, doesn't matter what kind of transportation you take, car, public transport or bike, you get everywhere fast, can park your vehicle close by and get your shopping over with fast
@@pjkr123 ah yes Gronau, my best friends gf is a refugee from there. Most criminal small town in Germany for years in a row until they stopped making that statistic. No. 1 place to buy used cars, because being in gronau makes it 500€ cheaper by default
Nice to see Enschede here :) mind back memories. That is my first city i lived ever, in Europe. Lived there only a year but have essencial memories. Miss the back yard BBQ in winter. Actually fire was burning all in winter there with bunch of sausages. Having backyard there in the city is quite common for student from outside which is very unique. City Location on the border easy makes traveling to Münster to Düsseldorf (nice japanese food trip)with groupticket. Close to Forest there are so many deers. There are so many valuable things uniquely to do there. Already passed about 7 years. I was there when the decadal event, Münster sculpture project was happening, that will soon to be happen, could be a nice joint travel to there also. Miss the yellow train in the Netherlands that is A homesick of mine, taking and seeing auful red of DB every in the morning is 😅😢😂 Thanks for bring me back to a memory trip:)
Fun fact: The Volkspark (People's Park) was a gift from textile baron Hendrik van Heek to the workers of Enschede. It's also the oldest public park of The Netherlands.
Randomly stumbled across this channel and im literally sitting in a building next to the volkspark right now, I can see one of my colleagues in the video in the park, cool!
Eanske isnt an abbreviation, its the Twents name for the city. Twents being a dialect of Low Saxon! Same as people in Groningen (in their Low Saxon dialect, Grunnegs) calling it Grunnen, Grönnen or Grunn. Its the local name for it.
Hello erika my name is same as yours btw thank you very much for this amazing video I was thinking about traveling from Münster to Enschede in December I decided to go and say hello to the goats first when I get there :)haha
So strange to see Enschede from someone else's perspective :3 I'm currently studying Creative Media and Game Technologies at Saxion and have been living in Enschede for 2 years now :D it's the first place I've moved to on my own and it's just a nice chill place :D I'll have to check out the Frank and Charlie cafe
What the hell. I got this in my recommends and when it hit your and Rik's faces I was like: Oh shit! I know both of you! (Rik a slight a bit more) NEST + Sax gang gang

Vienmēr esmu vēlējies migrēt uz Nīderlandi!
Solid video. Your English is impeccable. Lived in the Netherlands for ~3 years and never went to Enschede! Have a groovy nacht.
Yea, nice to see you!
Crazy, I lived for 20 years in Enschede and you still managed to show me something I didn't know
This was so fun to watch! I’ve never seen people make videos about this city, so this is really cool! :D

Seeing the place I used to work and my school in a video here is weird lol, glad you enjoyed it
Cool video as usual. Looks like a nice, calm city.😊
how nostalgic
Locals like me also call it Enske, it's like a abbreviation.
Not Enske but ...Eanske

YEP! Blue = You [HAT]
Why do you describe everything so well but when it comes to food it's just "good"
my friend lives in winterswijk!!
What is the name of the second place of the goats? Never seen it before
I dont have the name but it s very south of Enschede. Might be called Natuurgebied or it's somewhere near that region
Judging from streetview it is probably the area between Heersenkampweg, Voshaarweg and Jacobsrietweg. Nord of Rutbeek.
Quite a coincidence you walked and filmed right in front of my mom's office😅
Omg, how can I find this place with gooses and goats?
it's in Het Volkspark
Ahhh Enschede or as i like to call it the city that went out with a bang!@@helloerika
Goats!
@helloerika are you Dutch or German Erika?
she is neither, she is from a baltic country but I don't dare to say which one, I fear I will pick the wrong one
"It's good"
Do you speak Dutch or German??
AH and affordable in one sentence, haha.

Good video. . .Good looking white people tacos 🌮🌮
Enschede is kinda goofy. Oldenzaal is where it's at
The city logo at 0:57 looks like a logo from a satanic cult or something like that.
Wimpy
