Carlos love the videos keep up the good info I currently have a 23 CVO with a 6 x 9 Harleys in the bag but want to change my 6.5 in the fairing for something louder but then will also be able to use when there are more components available
Cicadia ch 2 ohm with 1/2 spacers work well with the factory amp 2 ohm speaker is the key for getting the most out of the Cvo amp . Cxx 2 ohm works well too
If I just wanted to add faring speakers to the stock 24 RG 200w amp which would you recommend. I want to wait until I get lids before changing out the amp.
The problem with doing it that way is the factory amp needs 2 ohm speakers to make full Power . Not many 2 ohm motorcycle speakers available. If you are going to to that route Cicada ch 65 2 ohm Or cxx 65 2 ohm
They fit depth wise but you have to grind the mounting hole a little bigger I didn’t Include them In the test because they don’t have a tweeter and they require a large amp
Carlos, can you do a sound comparison of the same speakers in 2 ohm & 4 ohm? Like is 2 ohm that much more powerful vs 4 ohm sound that much better? I am personally wanting to do my Street Glide in 2024, and I am wanting something that sounds good and loud, but it doesn't have to be the loudest bike, just loud enough for me to hear at 90 mph. I am personally looking at Cicadas component speakers and I do get caught riding in the rain a lot... lol
2 ohm vs 4 ohm all Comes Down to what amp you are using and how you will wire things . I can make both speakers sound exactly the same it’s not a quality or loudness thing it’s a configuration thing. For example if I run a 1200.4 4 ohm how do cicada 4 ohm in the fairing, 6.5 and cicada, 8 inch in the lowers 2 ohm that way the amplifier puts out more power to the lowers and less power to the faring
It's sad, My stepfather works at the Harley-Davidson in Wisconsin and he said in so many words that Harley and Rockford are basically trying to find a way to make it difficult in the newer bikes to do anything aftermarket because they're basically losing money in the newer motorcycles, due to everyone being able to put aftermarket in the older motorcycles and the common but is Ultras, SG, and RG all 2011 to 2022..
Keep kicking ass

thank you carlos! really helpfull. but what about the diamond audio ms65neo

Carlos can the precision power drop in subs fit in the new style bags?
No
Which hertz to swap out the stock 2024 ??
Or what would you recommend for saddle bag lids
Hertz 690 neo or cicada CMX
The list above all fit with no modification? There are no Cicadia options?
The cicada fits, but we will have to run a half-inch spacer. We’ve done 10 of them that way so far no modification just the spacer.
Will the ground zero 6.9 fit in 23cvo saddle lids
No

Carlos is the RF amo in a 2024 CVO RG enough to power GZ Neo's in the fairing or am I wasting my time?
Wasting your time the main problem is the GROUND zeros are 4 ohm that will make the factory amplifier do half power
OK thank you. Then the solution is your 800W amp kit, correct?
The sound in my CVO is weak.

@@MrTharber yes
That is currently the best solution
We
Just delivered another one this morning
Client is super happy .
Hi. Will the 6.5’s work in the 2023 CVO Street Glide fairing? Thanks
Yes
Tested all these speakers on both the street glide and road glide
