God forbid the mom have one moment for herself
That's a very dumb move by the dad.. those kids can easily get hurt.
Bravo to the Mom, from a retired competitive Runner who is a Mom. I understand the importance of race times, especially when they're qualifiers for other events. Personally, I would simply redo the finish line allowing my kids to cross the finish line with me later. I don’t spend much time on social media, (that's why I check in with you guys to get the coles notes version of what is making news ;) so I’m unaware of this discussion and I am quite surprised that talking about this family brings people peace, not sure what the point is 🤔 I am quite surprised this is a thing people are putting their energy into it. That said, it’s true that having family members join us at the finish line can pose risks, both to the runner and to others and it’s generally discouraged for safety reasons. Go Marathon Mom Go, so proud of You and the wonderful role model you are for your children, they will see how it is important to take care of us first so we can give from a full tank of Soul Care. 🥰
If people are criticizing her, these people need to go find a job and a hobby and get off the internet because they have too much time on their hands.

Who pushes out two little girls on the path of an active race and it’s just weird she was first and that guy was close behind her she trained hard for this it’s just bad judgment at best on the dads part

Imagine if dad placed the girls right in front of mom in another place she was going to "finish first" 😂😂😂 the kids don't have to be there all the time for everything the parents need to be there for their kids at every moment of their kids lives that are like this... Not vice versa

A very bad Idea in the first place: very dangerous for the kids! Runners get a shot of adrenaline in sight of the finish line and give it all they've got left, so several runners would be charging to the finish and you plan to shove 2 little girls in front of them!!?? Better idea: saw a dad at a race with 2 little girls holding a sign: "Hurry up mom, we're hungry". 😅
The better idea is also patronising af. Stop making mother's identities only about being mom's and cooking it's insulting and has real life implications wrt women's mental health
