    Interesting how we have no cap space for Stamkos even though he was willing to come down, but are trying to get even more expensive players. Stamkos is exactly what we need to win a Cup again. Stamkos back at 2C (Paul at 3C) and Guentzel in either of our top 2 lines would be devastating in the playoffs.
    Sergachev has gotten better through the years and was a great D-man in 22-23. Proceeds to tear a ligament, then comes back and immediately breaks his leg, now I have to hear people say he "plateaued" at 25 and can't play defense. That's insane. And where are the heavy hitters if we lose Jeannot?
    Why everyone touts Hedman amazes me! Many many times I've seen him lollygag up to the net and then gets behind it while Vasilevski was on his own. I feel he has slowed down considerably.
    Then, and I know I'll hear about this, there's Kucherov. I'm wondering what everyone thought about his playing in this year's playoffs...............no goals? After everyone fed him the puck time and time again to beat his record during the regular season.
    I don't know where we are going, but my gut says if these guys don't dig in, we'll be in the same place as this year.

    I have been a season ticketholder of the Nashville Predators for 24 years now... And that level of dynamic offense has been something that has alluded the franchise for its entire existence. All of us here in Nashville are absolutely ecstatic to have each of them. For the first time, it feels as though we can now roll three lines with confidence. This traditionally offensively anemic team just got a shot in the arm. Let's just keep in mind that Josi, Forsberg, and Saros aren't getting any younger either... Plus this also provides ample experience and learning opportunity for the youngsters within the organization. How I wish GMDP would have taken such a splash when he had Pekka in his prime. The Stamkos ordeal is completely on BriseBois. Dude took a team that won two consecutive cups and chop-shopped off the key pieces to whoever the highest bidders were, while getting garbage in return. Now we're just waiting for him to sell off Hedman and Kucherov for a bologna sandwich and a used iPhone

    Nashville was already real exciting last year, even with their clear flaws as a team, mostly depth. I'm really interested to see how this coming season fares for them. Not a fan of the Preds, but they look really strong.

    one thing a lot of bellyachers overlooked, is that guentzel had 37 goals with a plus-minus of +8, stamkos 40 goals and a minus 21. jake is also 5 years younger.
    even with his skill level at his current age of 34, having scored 40 goals, steven is NOT going to be worth $8m in a few years when he declines. factor in his powerplay points from last season and his goal scoring has dropped significantly 5 on 5 the last 3 seasons. 19 of his 40G came from the pp this past season, where he benefits a lot from kucherov and hedman. forwards that can play a 2-way game help teams win. these are the major reasons why steven's gone.
    as a tampa fan i'm happy for steven getting one last big paycheck. i'm also glad the team dodged a bullet if that was the price ($8m /AAV) that was required to keep steven under contract.

    • @ethanparker7900

      i don't think he was looking for $8 million when it came to tampa

    • @carparthero
      @carparthero 19 дней назад

      @ethanparker7900 he apparently wasn't, on the surface. the talk was $4-$5m AAV, the unknown was term.
      tampa offered $3m AAV x 8 years which was retarded for the team, because there was no way steven would be playing to age 42.

      @@carparthero yah if i were them i would've done like 3 years for $5 million or something. That would've made everyone happy

    • @carparthero
      @carparthero 18 дней назад

      @ethanparker7900 tbh there's more tension to the story than we'll ever know. steven and JBB are guys that would never shit-talk each other or other people to the media/internet.
      i saw trouble-flavored coffee brewing last summer when JBB refused to even have discussions with steven.
      it would have been nice if TBL and steven would have been able yo have worked something out.
      thing is, tampa is a polite but ruthless organization. they aren't afraid to make the big, bold moves when necessary.

    • @ethanparker7900
      @ethanparker7900 18 дней назад

      @@carparthero yah honestly it was kind of stunning that not at least 1 discussion was held given all he had done to revive the team and how he was still producing at an elite level and still had lotta cap space to work with. Or maybe in April have a couple discussions or something anytime before yesterday really would've been great for all of us

    The thing I always hate about free agent signings is the gut reaction is always “hOw mUcH” and never about the impact a player brings to a team. I think the end of your video sums it up you think anyone is going to give a shit in 3 years what their cap situation looks like if they make it far in the playoffs? No
