Today I'mI'm heading away from the tourist areas of Sukhumvit, Silom and Khaosan Road in Bangkok to the end of the MRT blue line to try some LEGENDARY rad na at Ama Legendary Rad Na Crispy
I'm joined today by my partner in crime @hungrytoexplore as we eat some of the most unique noodles we've had in Bangkok.
It's a little bit of a trek out to Ama Legendary Rad Na Crispy อาม่าราดหน้าเส้นกรอบในตำนาน as it's 6KM past the last stop, Lak Song, out in Bang Khae. After eating the incredible beef and fish versions of rad na, though, we can definitely say it's worth the trip out from central Bangkok!

My name’s Gary and I’ve been living in Bangkok for the past five plus years and travelling Thailand for over ten. I’m obsessed with Thai street food and it’s that obsession that led me to start this RUclips channel. I want to share my favourite hidden spots in Bangkok and the rest of Thailand so you can fall in love with authentic, local Thai food as much as I have!
If you love seeing off the beaten path, non-touristy, local life and authentic local life in Bangkok and Thailand then this is the channel for you. If go go bars on the Sukhumvit Road are more your thing (I’m not judging) then maybe not!
As Thais who live in bkk, never had this kind of Rad nah myself. Have to get out and try some. Good work to support local restaurants.
I literally live near laksong and have never heard of such an restaurants
I haven’t been back to Thailand since early 2000. But this new style of lad na with crispy fried noodle would definitely bring me back. It’s also great to see new and young chef expanding traditional Thai lad na into a fusion version. I wish Gam all the best in her restaurant and more people to venture outside mainstream Bangkok for a different take on traditional food. I sure will try to make it there. Swadee and Aloha from Hawaii 🌺🌺🌺
Ms. Gam (Cheek) is on her way to become a legend, guys! She is naturally pretty, friendly & humble. A perfect combination, for sure. I've never eaten crispy Rad Na, but it looks tantalizing. 😋
Hope Gam gets lots of customers from this great video Gary and Joe, her Wok cooking skills are just brilliant. The fish cooked to perfection, and that crispy noodle cake looked so good.
It's always a pleasure to watch Thais cook. They were really given a gift of creativity and technique when it comes to cooking.
Her name is แก้ม (Gam) which means "cheek". It's a very cute nickname for a Thai girl
The thank you! People say แก้มแดง to Finley every day but I never just heard แก้ม by itself don’t didn’t register 😅
She cooking is from her passion and main silk is she cook have a real good Wok hae and the sauce make perfect mid thicken .The fried rich noodle look so super good plate set.I would back to bankok to see her cooking and taste the good food.
You are very talented. A place to review small restaurants for the general public to know.
This cook is so cute.
Your playful energy with each other makes this fun. When I first saw you guys in her kitchen, I thought it imposing, but you were polite and she seemed fine with the company. I look forward to following in your footsteps!
Hi Gary, I've watched your clips all the time but not all of them and I rarely comment. I was surprised that I rarely saw tourists review Rad Na. Today, I would like to thank you for recommending this storefront. It looks very delicious. Her cheeks were meticulously made with intention. If I have a chance, I'll try it. Because I live all the way to Rama 9, Bangkok.
She cooks so well better than Jamie Oliver or Gordon Ramsey.
Added this to my list for when we’re in Bangkok next!!!
That looked so good!!!
Think the link in the description is wrong on this one. Its a different rad na shop and some stewed pork leg joint.

That looks like the best rad na that I have ever seen.
Yeah the soup reminds me of the look of a hot & sour soup in Londons China Town.

Ooh! How cool is that!? And she's adorable! I can't wait to try this next time I'm there!
First time in my life seeing dry fermented black soy bean. Rad Na's main nourishing taste ingredient is this fermented soy bean.
Fantastic chef skills on display for a self-taught cook.
Venture capitalists will be flocking to her door.
What kind of cuisine would you call that? It looks like high-end fresh ingredients cooked in new way.

แก้ม "Gahm", it is great cooking talent........You will get successful career. You are the next Michelin Guide/Star for Rad Na ราดหน้า.
Kaem the future legend of rad na!
You’ve done it again 👍
Brilliant! How on earth do you find all these places?
She so amazing !! Cook with love of food . Remind me the movie " Hunger " on Netflix.
Absolutely top draw mate
looks absolutely divine
Your English language is great where did you learn it . I thought in mother care school 😂
Wat great girl 👍🥰
What’s this place called please?
She should just batch cook that sauce. So saving time and gas. Probably more profit
Top two of my fave Thai dishes, boat noodles and rad na! Sorry, Gary, khao soi is not my favorite noodle dish. Like it but not my favorite. And I still plan on retiring in Chiang Mai soon, I know, right?!
All good, but I would so much rather eat there without the cameras and just enjoy. I wish I could cook like that, but over here we have these smoke and fire detectors that would shut me down. I want that beef, and I've started using that sweet soy sauce which adds a great touch to the dishes, plus I now have fresh galangal and lemon grass that I keep in small packets in the freezer.
😊❤🎉
Kaem has got Game, what a superstar in the making! Never seen this before, definite Green pin and an Adventure West on the cards 👍... Any chance of link to it?
Links in the description mate
@@theroamingcooki see youve changed it now, when i watched it the link wasnt in Blue but it was for 2 other places that wasnt even in the video, thanks for changing it mate 👍

Rad nah is Singapore and Malaysian equivalent to hor fun hor (egg sauce) we have a dish called Maui fun which is rice with the egg sauce. I would have thought you guys put her under pressure lol😂
Great find Garry:). Do you still live near bts Krung Thonburi?
