So lovely to hear from someone whose culture and society actually still tries to live in harmony with Nature. These are the people we should be listening to right now, these are the people who can show us how to live wisely, humbly and co-operatively within the ecosystem that we're so thoughtlessly destroying.
For every person that threatens you, millions support you. They are bullies and thugs. Keep up your good work.
Aye, but I wish we could prevent the morons and thugs that revile and murder such people as this young woman.
Beautiful and powerful words! Thank you Txai❤️
Your courage and powerful story is inspiring and motivating!! We stand with you, Txai 🙌🏼
Maravilhoso essa moça corajosa de muito valor para nós, brasileiros, e para o mundo com seu discurso forte e sem medo.
My heart goes out to the Indigenous people when I see how their home is being destroyed by the burning of the rain forest. The suffering that the wildlife go through when fire sweeps through their habitat. All done just for money and no consideration for people or wildlife. I support you and hope your speech makes a difference to your home land and the earth.
Please don’t believe that is the only issue. People tend to blame everything on the fires and often say Brazil can’t manage its own country but forest fires happen all the time in California too, for example. The problem is that big corporations pay governments for laws that increase land for agriculture and pollute the water. Every time we buy meat, we are financing this operation. The pollution in the air, water, and land increases because of our consumption habits. We must pressure big companies to abandon these practices and consume more consciously. Pressure local governments to help lower the temperature on the planet. The fires are not the (only) villain here, the villain are the companies that pretend they are saving the world and giving us nutrition while murdering entire populations and ending beautiful indigenous generations and cultures.
Well done Txai Suruí ! You gave voice for the millions of species (animals, plants, etc) that are current being destroyed in Brazil just to benefit very few people. Our vegetation is dying, water resources are running out, we must act now!

Protect the indigenous people! They deserve it! Nowadays society wouldn't exist without them! All of our ancestors were indigenous!
She is beautiful with beautiful words, we support you!! Let us stand up!!
Lovely presentation and greetings from Manafwa District in Eastern Uganda 🇺🇬
How can our leaders fail, such heart felt words from the other side of the earth.
By one who feels for her heritage, her people and their lives.
I feel for your pain. G
Met her in Stockholm at Fridays For Future, she is an inspirational person & was supa chill/cool/nice to me. Hope to visit her people's rainforest in the Amazon. I asked her about life in the forest & the rise of military attacking environmental activists at protests around the world. I thanked her for fighting for nature, all life, forests, ocean, all animals, all peoples of all countries.
We will get a better world world if we keep fighting fossil fuel industry, protecting Amazon & voting progressive governments. A friend of mine asked her what gives her hope, she said the young generation. Progress is happening. We keep fighting for a better environment, economy & life. All of Us Can Win by showing we have a voice. We have the Power when we come together as friends/family.
Thank you Txai. You have the support of far more people than threaten you and your way of life. I hope our leaders and decision makers have the good sense to listen to you and turn their backs on the big business that threatens us all.
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉amen sister amen 🎉🎉🎉 love you mama 🎉
Brilliant speech
This is something of just a few by now, we must support this kind of people and let the system collapse for our own safety. The idea that a future without the current system is only scary for those who will lose their privilege, and we can clearly see that they are disposed to sacrifice us all for keeping it. The earth is calling us, are you prepared for fight?

...a photo of Raoni crying, saying his tears had been provoked by the announcement of the final validation of the Belo Monte Dam. Outraged, the boss formally denied this information on his official website: "I didn't cry because of the construction permit and the start of work at the Belo Monte construction site. As long as I live, I will continue to fight against this construction (... ) It will be President Dilma Rousseff who will cry, not me. I want to know who took this photo and spread this false information (...). It will be necessary for President Dilma to kill me in front of the Planalto Palace. , you will be able to build the Belo Monte Dam"... (Chief Raoni, Caiapó people, a brasilian true indigenous).
