Thunder Cage Build in The First Descendant!

- This is my personal Thunder Cage build, you can technically get more damage out of this and a bigger sheet “DPS” number but this is what I found to be the best in terms of sustained damage and in terms of “luck” if you by chance crit 5 shots in a row it will out DPS most builds that don’t utilize crit. I had a lot of decision making when doing this build and the very last module I slotted was “edging shot” as I found the increase crit it gives outweighs the -Firearm attack. If you roll gold firearm attack on the 4 attribute it almost cancels out the -attack but I use this weapon to do solo bossing so I rolled gold colossus attack.
Hey, thats exactly how im planning on making my thunder cage. I have one question tho do you need any form of electric damage for electric conductor to apply? Like electric atk substat on weapon
Yes you do
If you’re running bunny, then no, if you’re hitting enemies with any of her abilities. I’m pretty sure they guarantee a status proc, whereas guns don’t always guarantee it

Practically use the same build with recycling genius replaced with the mod that gives you more rounds (although both are pretty equal) but I run firing fiesta instead of electric conductor for bosses. Helps conserve ammo while also dealing more dps
8 use electric conductor because it’s used with bunny, bunny procs electrocution on the boss giving you a permanent 26% damage but your way is either the same or a little worse in terms of DPS. Firing fiesta is an S tier perk
@@SorrowsPeaceYeah I think you can’t go wrong with either, I just went with firing fiesta because I always run low on ammo (even with a secondary general rounds weapon with the ammo mods) and you have to be close to the enemy in order to get the status to proc with electric conductor. I use electric conductor on my mobbing build.

“roll canceling” isn’t real btw. The only thing that it’s doing is finishing the reload when you roll so you still have to do the full reload, it just seems like it because the reload is short. Try it on an LMG for one example it doesn’t work because reload is too long. You can run whatever I just personally like the reload to get more shots out quicker for the boss build I use it for.
Would insight focus be better instead of edging shot? still increasing crit rate and a bit of extra crit dmg while not dropping firearm atk
as far as testing goes for DPS the increase to crit change will actually out perform the -15% making it better because you crit more often. When i’m lab it seemed to do more due to more crits and the crit multiplier is so higher the -attack is unnoticeable for general play. Just my personal preference on that mod, I added edging shot the very last.
