Most of the riffs/runs in their version of this song are copied from the original version sung in 1965 by Bobby Hatfield of the Righteous Brothers. That’s not a negative statement; I think it’s a great tribute to Bobby Hatfield and his amazing and beautiful abilities. I think Home Free did a great job with this one.

This song reminds me of when my mom & stepdad were early in their relationship..everytime this song came on it didn't matter where we were or what they were doing, they would stop and dance. Just watching them it could plainly see they were so in love. I remember one time we were in the truck driving down the road to go to the river and this song came on the truck radio. My stepdad pulled over to the side of the road and there they were dancing in each others arms on the side of the road...
This song brought back beautiful memories of my mom being the happiest I have ever known her to be in her life...

Loved this description. So glad you have this memory because we cannot stop death. It's the good memories we have that help us when death demands the breakage of the bond of relationships. The grief process is how we do this. All of us lose our parents, some sooner than others. Those that live to 100 are without family & friends. Adaptation is often difficult but I have seen in my practice many who successfully adapted.

Because I am a retired psychiatrist (MD), federal law requires me to state the medical information I left does not make a doctor/patient relationship. These were mimimal statements on the grief process. If anyone is having difficulties please seek help. Grief cannot be ignored because to ignore it, it leads to depression. There are churches with religious counseling. There are mental health centers with counseling. The loss of some one important to you is breaking a mental/physical bond and yes, it is painful but death demands this. If you need help please seek it out.

This is a perfect example of why Home Free's videography presentations are always on point with their song selections, because their professionalism goes beyond their exquisite performances and talent, but they also put in the time to research and understand the song writer's intent and circumstances of its creation. They are actually producing spectacular musical movie shorts by perfecting both the audio and video blending of their artistry. I do not understand why the CMA has not recognized their music video offerings since they are consistently the best in the business. Awesome job fellas, as usual!

I met them all once at a UVP and asked why they are not more known. They replied they prefer and long and slow grow. They are entertainers and want to keep well with their fans, old and young..............once you become showbiz people, the magic seems to go away from being so approachable, as we love how they are now.
They went for independent route. No big labels to do promotion for them...

One of my all time favorite Righteous Brother songs. The scenes perfectly match my prison worker days. The inmates sang a cappella songs from a deep, secret place of sadness just like this video. Thirty three years working the toughest beat in the State of California prisons, I met many converted Christian men who truly loved Jesus. They as well as their victims are not forgotten. Keep the faith!
When I saw this would be their next song, I immediately thought about how both Austin and Tim had done covers. I was really curious about how you guys would do this and I could not think of a better way than what you did. Beautiful! Brilliant choice to have Tim set the scene with that richness of his, then going into that gorgeous upper register and bringing in Austin to keep adding more lovely energy to the piece. And that build up to the infamous note he hits like it's nothing😍 To everything I just heard.

We needed from Home Free more of that because tenor and bass is in the bass cleft. Song request with tenor and bass: Papa was a Rolling Stone by The Temptation, collaborate with Kevin Olusa from Penatatonix and Eil Jacobson from Voiceplay.
This was a beautiful rendition. Every bit as powerful as the original by the Righteous Brothers. Home Free is a breath of fresh air in this world of clashing guitars and screaming voices.

Not written from prison, this song was written as a theme song for the 1955 prison movie "Unchained" which is why so many people are confused by the name of the song. In the movie, the song is sung by prisoner lamenting being separated from his wife and family. The song was nominated for an Oscar in 1955.
It's named “Unchained Melody” not because it concerns itself with the various freedoms and captivations of romantic love, but because it was written, originally, for a movie about life in prison. Unchained, based on the book Prisoners are People, was a low-budget film released to limited acclaim in 1955.

As a Patron I've been so lucky to watch this several times already! It's wonderful and very moving. The video with black and white and the words, behind bars, all of it is stunning. I had to look up the story behind the song as I wondered why you did the song in jail setting. I didn't realize the man who wrote it was in prison at that time. I loved the harmonies, as always, and Tim was great. Austin was Austin -- what more can you say about that incredible tenor voice? There are just millions of views already on Austin's rendition of this and his part with HF sounded very simliar and wonderful. Thanks to all of you this month for the great songs! Kinda strange I'm watching a prison movie then this pops up on my phone. But I stopped watching the movie just to watch homefree an I also hit that high note as well yay me. Not to take anything whatsoever away from the Righteous Brothers because it will forever be a timeless classic, but this.....THIS masterpiece... combining Tim's rich, heart-melting bass tone in the first part and Austin's breathtaking, resonate tenor in the second, along with the beautiful harmonies and Adam's selection of and perfectly executed beatboxing, makes for the most tender, emotional, romantic rendition I believe I have ever heard! Yes, Home Free has done it again. Everything was really great. HF have interpreted the story behind the song well. Tim and Austin leads, the backgrounds, the Harmonies, the incredible beatboxing, the video with Adam's shadow on the wall, the feeling. So beautiful

I'm here because I saw someone named Austin Brown singing this song. I guess I played it like 5 times straight. Then, I saw something about Home Free. Like 10 minutes later, I became one of those Home Fries. The talent is unbelievable. These guys treat each other like brothers - very rare in the music business. I believe in God created miracles; Home Free is one of them! What a Valentine's gift for we Fries.

As a 100% Homefree fan this is a great version of this song. There is only one version that is the greatest and that is the Original by the Righteous Bros. You are the best of any covers I have ever heard but I'm Bias when it comes to ya'll. Love all of the ones I have heard. I love that Home Free made this song their own way and didn’t try to do it like Bobby Hatfield (still my favorite singer of this song). However, Home Free did an excellent job and they didn’t have a full orchestra accompanying them.
