I’ll never forget the first time I heard Black Star... it was 1987. The entire solo is unreal. The guy was second to NO ONE. His earlier playing will never be surpassed in the noeclassical guitar realm, in my opinion.
amazing. Same, I remember the first time too. I actually performed it as a young teenager at one of the big rock venues in Denmark (pretty badly)...I was so deep into his world for a few years, cut out an article from a guitar magazine where he talked about practising and had it hanging in my room for YEARS. He was a big inspiration. People can say what they will about him now, but he certainly was a massively influential innovator and nobody can take that away from him.
Very true. He turned the guitar world upside down. And with a strat! Also what people don’t realize is that, as fast and clean as he could play, he sounded even better when he slowed down and held his notes. Think “marching out”. Best vibrato I’ve ever heard, and deep emotion. And that TONE on the first two albums! I could never understand the haters. I think it’s so cool that ur an Yngwie fan!
agreed!!! When he did slow down he actually had a really deep, gritty expression in him... and lots of Blues too!! I ain't gonna hide it haha, he was a big influence. When to see him in the same venue I played Black Star.. I remember people walking out of the venue calling him God etc... it was that time when people called guitarists Gods for some reason.
We could go on all day! I love it. I know u can play his style because the last time u uploaded a black star track, u did the intro solo. It was great and u even did a subconscious Yngwie move with ur right arm. I commented on it at the time. I love the guy. But I have to say, I think it’s awesome how you can play ANY style. Jazz, blues, rock, everything. That’s what I would want for myself :)
I was at the Day on the Green in 85 Oakland Coliseum and saw YM play Blackstar...middle of the day, very hot...YM was amazing, I became an instant fan.
Ciao Principe Danese Jacob. Gregorio
You posted somewhere you were going on tour and I was curious as to who with and where. I hope maybe some day you might play a gig in the UK so that I can come and listen to you play. I can sit there with my flask and tartan shawl making happy faces...
There are 30 keys, don´t see them all, maybe half, but I understand not all people are so masochistic to play in C#/Db for example, I even work with B#, just like a training in intervals, is usefull when working with contemporary music. Anyway, don´t think I don´t appreciate your tracks, just that one day I missed lot of keys to work with. But they are great, and your playing also. Thanks fot it
Thanks to Alfred Potter for the 🔥 guest intro!! Show his channel some love here → bit.ly/2NeIbPa

😍😎👌
Why do you always make the baking tracks in the same keys?, a bit boring.
I have backing tracks in pretty much all the keys maestro.
....
And this one modulates to Am along the way.
