Bro you're right!! I've been following this channel since before blow up and it's been epic. But once a channel is able to make videos on this scale, that's a great sign. I don't have a big channel or first hand experience, but based on observing other channels, people tend to be drawn to "meme length" long videos. The idea of a ten+ hour video is a bit of a novelty and let's fans feel very committed if they watch it all the way. My only concern is the ultralong form becoming a standard and people stretching content too thin just to make a long video. Definitely not the case here, I'm talking in hypotherical terms about the possibilities in the future

I love how the vague nature of storytelling in fromsoft games made the community so strong and active. I bet if the story was just all clear there wouldn't be nearly as much discussion and content like this. Almost makes you feel like a historian learning about a real distant country.
It’s partly the reason for Elden Rings longevity. The gaming industry was Confused as to why Elden Ring was still the most talked about game in October 2022, 8 months after release.

Mohg is a truly caring patron and actually does love his subjects. He allows varre to entice his followers in whatever way varre chooses, but actually offers belonging and power to those that join. Most notably to me is Eleanora. A tarnished that became a drake knight and participated in dragon communion to gain power, only to be doomed to be a magma wyrm by it. Then mohg asks her to simply change the target of her hunt from dragons to other tarnished, grants her weapon cursed blood power, and what’s more, overrides her fate of becoming a magma wyrm by making her a demon. He gives her everything she wants and saves her because he is able to. Though you could say she simply chose to be a different form of monster

One question, why is Godfrey so powerful? besides of course having been the Elden Lord, but even before, when he was still a barbarian, how could he perform such impressive feats of strength? even in the fight against our character, in which he can sweep away the chaos with a stomp or with a punch he can open craters!
It's no wonder he was chosen as Lord, but is he from a different race than ordinary humans? because it is obvious that he is different, even in size, in which he is very tall!!

I love that you reference The Tarnished Archeologist. I’ve seen a lot of ppl get pretty upset with his interpretation of Fromsoft lore but I personally love his analysis. It doesn’t have to be 100% correct to be appreciated. The fact is, we’re all just guessing. There is no 100% for sure answers to any of the holes in Elden Rings lore.

This is pure madness, 36 hours of lore and some people say Elden Ring has no lore/story.
It took less time to read the Eye of the World than it did to watch all of these.
Ngl this was better.
The end of the Radagon section made me think that the misbegotten in the snow fields and the Haligtree and the red wolves there and in Liurnia were sent to hunt and kill Ranni, Malenia, and Miquella. No better way to keep your order around than to kill the potential Gods of a new order.

I think Gideon DID see marika's will. Fromsoft descriptions are very exacting in their wording, it doesn't he say "what he believed/thought to be marika's will." It says he DID see her will.
Nobody else in the game says anything about killing a god but hewg and gideon, and I think that's important. Radagon didn't have to kill a god to become elden lord, and you already killed demigods for great runes, so now you simply ascend the throne, presumably.
But Gideon saw "the end that should not be." Killing a god. Killing Marika. But Gideon also does NOT accept that he doesn't know everything, he is too proud. So he "know[s] in [his] bones... a tarnished cannot kill a god"
He thinks marika hopes for us to struggle eternally because marika is eternal. So he believes.
So i think gideon wasn't tricked, he was just too proud to admit he could be wrong, and so fights us because marika doesn't want a new elden lord, she wants to die. But a god can't die, so he tries to stop is from ascending
I thought these 10 hr vids were going to be compilations of all your other lore videos, but nope, 30+ hours of new content!
"Rememberence of the Dragonlord Placidusax, hewn into the Erdtree" that line made me think of dark souls, where humans, or in elden rings case, Marika, are the legitimate successors of the eternal dragons

Ate these compilations all of the other smaller vids, together.in one package, or is there more lore then the snaller vids
My personal theory is that Greyoll was the former vassal God of the Ancient Dragons. Might be hard to believe, but keep in mind we only see her after being debilitated by Rot. Imagine the strength and power she'd have if up and walking. My theory is that Placi was a handcrafted embodiment of the Storm, as shown by his extensive Lightning abilities that no other dragon has come close to rivaling. Greyoll is said to he the Mother of ALL Dragons, and I suspect was more of a Beastly God in nature, but one that was able to incorporate outside elements and powers into her offpring. Modern Dragons have an ability to absorb the element of their environment, whether it be more passive such as living on Icy Mountains or direct, such as devouring sorcerers. I believe they get this ability from Greyoll, as no ancient dragons have shown such an ability. It's well agreed that the ancient Rot vassal God may have been a giant scorpion of some kind, so why not an enormous Dragon? This would explain why Placi has a head shape similar to modern Dragons since they were made as a pair. Through mating with Placi, Greyoll was able to imbue their children with the power of the Storm, thus creating the Ancient Dragons. This could explain the size of Gransax as well. He may have been the most powerful of their children, inheriting his mother's size and Father's Storm.
This may also explain the appearance of the Storm Hawks. Just as the Dragons devolved and lost their power without Placi's Storm, without the wildness and absorbing power of Greyoll, The Storm manifested in smaller, less impressive forms.

On Godfrey, I think for the timeline we have to consider that the Crucible had to already be a thing by Placidusax's reign, because the Crucible is the source of all life and dragons are life, so both them and their beastmen servants were originally created by the primordial Crucible of life.
I think that we have to distinguish the Ancient Age of the Crucible, which went from the rise of the Dragons to Marika's ascension, from the transitory phase of Godfrey's campaign, when Marika was campaigning in order to start the age of the Erdtree, and this early phase was a transitory one from the ancient Crucible to the modern Erdtree, a phase where at the start you would have barbarian warriors like Godfrey who went around subjugating beasts and subduing natural forces like the Giants, and by the end of it human civilization had triumphed and such aspects of brute force and sheer natural powers had become exceedingly crude and unrefined for the victorious order itself. This would be the period when Omens and Crucible Knights were revered at the beginning of Marika's reign and reviled at the end. The entire story of the Erdtree's early wars are an allegory for mankind's subjugation of nature and the advancement of civilization, which is a trope common in a bunch of mythologies too (like the Norse one, where the gods of Asgard are really the gods of mankind, opposed to the Giants who are the manifestation of primeval natural forces).
Also, I was wondering this just recently. Don't Godfrey's clothes kinda look similar to what Farum Azula's Beastmen are wearing? I feel like it would fit very well.

I believe the Table of Lost Grace is literally made up of all the grace that was taken away from the tarnished before they went on the long march.
Hence the size of the grace on the table and also the weapons. Literally divesting themselves of their grace. I like it.
