I can 100% relate to how Ian was feeling and it's the worst feeling in the world cos no matter wot anyone tells u ur mind is in a different zone and u can't snap out of it until ur mentally and emotionally ready too and ppl too often will judge u and laugh at u or woteva yet if someone had a serious phisical disease or similar nobody wud be judging u or laughing I take my hat off off to the writers and actors in eastenders for showing just how devastating and upsetting MH issues can affect an individual on different levels over wot to others may seem insignificant but to that person it's the end of their world.
I recently watched this on the iplayer as binge watching the old ep's. Have to admit to bursting out laughing on this epiosde when Ian thought Phil was plotting to kill him cause he got his mate to drive the wedding car haha
I never actually understood why he walked off like that so cluelessly, unconsciously and as u say like a penguin. Is this a symptom of a breakdown or summat? Never actually understood but all I did know was that Ian was depressed so that explained most.
Lucy shouldn't have left him alone there and he certainly shouldn't have been anywhere near the stove. If he had insisted on making pancakes Lucy should have locked all the doors, stayed in the house and phoned for help.
Didn't we all see ian losing his mind and sees a ghost around this time in 2012, nothing to do with the ghost Children in need eposide a few later in 2014 which i never really seen at the time, it was a featured eposide around 2012 where ian sees someone like Laura how can i cant find this eposide no more
Extended EastEnders program Why don't the BBC change another day and time Tuesdays at 9:45pm Wednesdays at 9:45pm and Fridays double bills and extend the running time but up to 42 minutes instead of Mondays at 8:pm and Tuesdays at 8:35pm and also Thursdays at 8:35pm for the TV programme drama called EastEnders for all time?
Bobby never forget that Lucy didn’t give him his Pancakes 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣best comment
This was probably Adam Woodyats finest hour as an actor.

💯💯 Ian's breakdown was a good storyline that dealt with mental illness.

Only that time he didn't go homeless but went to a luxury mansion.
