GREAT reaction!! Props for noticing the and appreciating the Bass and Drums! They definitely made the song. Keep reacting🎸🎸
Paul McCartney is the greatest bass player ever. "A Day in the Life"
"Let me roll it"!
No argument from me!
Rain and Penny Lane. He became the lead guitarist.
U know it !!!
No sorry , love Paul, but, John Entwistle and John Paul Jones were better
Oh Darling, Hey Jude, Let it Be, Got to Get You Into My Life, Taxman, Eleanor Rigby, In My Life...keep your journey going.
Paul McCartney is the Beatles Bass Player. He is considered one of the greatest and the most melodic bass player. His Bass line on "Something" is melodic genius.
He used to regularly be the top in the Downbeat polls forty to fifty years ago.
Paul McCartney on bass! Probably the greatest songwriter and musician of the modern era!Stu Sutcliffe was originally the bassist back in 62'.
And McCartney is left handed. He played a left handed bass.
Just to elaborate: Paul McCartney was the Beatles' regular bassist and played bass on most of their songs (including this one), but there are a few that have George or John on bass. Stu Sutcliffe was the original bassist but left the group in '61 and died (much too young) in '62, so you won't hear him on any of their records.
Apparently, John 's demo was faster and a bit rockier - it was Paul that suggested slowing it down and making it "Swampy".
I Want You (She's So Heavy)next please!!
Definitely!
Yes!
My suggestion is "A Day in a Life"
John Lennon wrote this song. The lyrics don't mean anything except John was doing word play, which he likes to do sometimes. The song comes from the end of The Beatles. This album, Abbey Road, was their last recorded music before they broke up to pursue solo careers. Early Beatles-I suggest the song Yesterday (written by Paul). Middle Beatles-I suggest Penny Lane (written by Paul). Late Beatles-I suggest While My Guitar Gently Weeps (written by George).
In 1969, LSD advocate Timothy Leary asked John to write him a campaign song when he was running for governor of California.
It’s not exactly “Happy Days Are Here Again,” and Leary never became governor, but we have this.
Ringo’s drums are sublime.
@@frankiebowie6174correct
Please give a listen to While My Guitar Gently Weeps, one of George Harrison's best songs.
Bass Paul. I am the Walrus, If I fell,, I Want You.
Rooftop concert: get back and dont let me down
Yeah. I was gonna say the only live I would insist on is Don’t Let Me Down.
Thank you🫡
I've got a feeling!
AND "I'VE GOT A FEELING" from the SAME roof top concert.
Muddy Waters was an iconic Mississippi Blues musician who influenced all the 60s rock musicians, including The Beatles.
Pauls Bass was stolen and was missing for decades until it was only very recently found and returned to him.
Apparently Paul cried but I don't know for sure, but I am sure it must have brought floods of memories.
That's true. But in the meantime he had another one. 😝
And of course the Höfner wasn't the only bass he played. He didn't play it during the Wings years. He added it back recently in live performances.
Eleanor Rigby
Good call
George Harrison played lead and rhythm guitar on this one. Paul McCartney was their bassist and he also played electric piano on this one.
McCartney played the lead licks on this song as well as the bass and piano...wiki is not a very good source for this kind of stuff
@@philwillett9102 What is your source?
Paul McCartney plays bass
It's NOT wikipedia@@79BlackRose
Billy Preston played the organ. Fact
What constantly amazes me about "Come Together" is how simple all the parts seem separately, but put them together and magic results.
Great reaction… try Oh Darlin’ . For one extreme to the other listen to Helter Skelter and then Norwegian Wood. Keep em coming!
A great song to begin to explore their psychedelic era is Strawberry Fields Forever. There is a trippy video they did to support this song when it was released as a single. This was way before videos were even a thing!
♥ The Beatles! So many great songs so suggest: Let It Be, Get Back, Revolution #1, Help, Yesterday, Something, Here Comes The Sun, While My Guitar Gently Weeps, Norwegian Wood, Strawberry Fields Forever, Eleanor Rigby, Love Me Do, In My Life, And I Love Her, Hey Jude & Paperback Writer. FYI - this is just a short list of their best 😉
BTW - you should really check out Bob Dylan sometime. I'd suggest starting with Like A Rolling Stone. I'd stick with the official studio versions for Dylan
Son start at track one first album and play the library in order 🙏🎶
Good Day Sunshine
Yes @MDREEEZY, that is the BEST way to learn and APPRECIATE how the Beatles music evolved and progressed from 1962 through early 1970 , listening to their catalogue just as we "first generation fans'" heard it back in the '60s. I was a 16/17 year old when the Beatles came to the U.S. for the first time the first week in February 1964, but they had been known in the UK and Europe from 1962, but known in their home city Liverpool, England, when they were the local area band since 1957 Keep in mind the songs on their first UK Album "PLEASE PLEASE ME" and second UK Album "WITH THE BEATLES" were what MADE THEM EXTREMELY popular from the start, we went WILD over them, especially us girls. Their music was DIFFERENT in those first albums, from anything we had heard before, at that time. KEEP that in MIND, without those early singles and albums, they would NEVER have progressed to songs like "Come Together" which is from 1969. A year before the broke up in mid 1970.
John and George played guitar, Paul played bass, Ringo played drums, and they all 4 sang. John, George, and Paul sang their own songs, and Ringo was always given at least one song on each album. And Ringo's real name is Richard Starkey.
Sorry, Ringo's real name was Ringo!!!!!
@@Michael-xk3sp No.its what I said. I'm 64 and have known that since I was like 8 or 9. Don't take my word for it, look it up and educate yourself. And it's not 'was' it's 'is'. He's still alive.
@@BatFang-s8y just jokin' cause I'm smokin'. Of Course it is Richard Starkey. What i meant to say was that there was only one Ringo, and he has been unfairly criticized over the years. I'm 70. No issue. Peace.
@@Michael-xk3sp Actually I think Ringo has his own band that he plays in called All Star Band and there is a drummer named Ringo, different guy, in a band called Los Lonely Boys. At least according to my sister who's the biggest Beatles person I know. And it's funny as I'm really not a big Beatles person at all yet I seem to know more about them than I should.
You can't go wrong with the Beatles, any era. Such a diverse catalogue and all amazing. 'Yesterday' and 'Revolution' for two extremes! Cheers
the amazing Mr Billy Preston on keyboards
Paul actually wrote the keyboard part. He wanted a swampy feel to it. There's a bit of mystery to who actually played the Fender Rhodes. It was either Paul or John. The story I always heard was Paul played the part first, with John looking over his shoulder to see how he was playing it, then going back and re-recording the part himself. Billy Preston was definitely around during that era but does not play on this particular track.
Peace
A day in the life!😉👊
I would suggest "Eleanor Rigby", it's really unique imo 👍
Muddy Waters was a great blues musician.
There are so many songs but I’ll suggest these and I’ll tell you why. First “Strawberry Fields” written by Lennon. It was a childhood garden where he played. McCartney countered with “Penny Lane” which was a place in Liverpool from his childhood. It was a friendly competition between them.
Do HEY JUDE!
Paul McCartney plays bass. George Harrison is lead guitar, John Lennon was rythmn guitar.
Have a listen to While My Guitar gently Weeps by the Beatles. George Harrison wrote it and sings lead vocals, and his guitar playing is exquisite!
But he didn't play the guitar solo.
@@79BlackRose Oh blimey, I didn't know that. Just looked it up, it was Eric Clapton. That's a bit disappointing. Still an incredible song though.
@@Markhypnosis1 Yes it is a bit surprising. The Jeff Healey Band covered if brilliantly with George on acoustic.

Keep Groovy to the Beatles 😎 ☮️
❣️Don't let me down
💙 L ucy in the sky with Diamonds.
"Tomorrow Never Knows" is trippy and way ahead of its time.
❤Paul is on bass, John on rhythm, George on lead abd ofcoueae Ringo on drums
You're a great listener! Keep groovin' on the Beatles. Next: "Don't Let Me Down".
I always had a soft spot for nowhere man. I think you might like it.
•Blackbird
•And I Love Her
🎭👁🎭
sounds crazy but you could of played this song in the early 2000's and it would have fit. very groovy
Get back from the final show from the rooftop of Abby road studios. And their live performance of All you need is love live 1967 when the first satellites went up. Two if the more important Bealtles moments IMO of course❤😂
Hope you read this..
Great reaction..
do BOB DYLAN..
he turned the Beatles onto weed...
also you will likely Double your subscriptions..lolol
One of your best reactions! I recommend 2 live videos. The 1st one is from the Beatles 1st live appearance in the U.S. on the Ed Sullivan Show performing the song "Twist and Shout". The 2nd is from the Beatles last live appearance performing the song "Don't Let Me Down" on a London rooftop.
Peace
I get goosebumps when I hear John Lennon sing
Do one of the Beatles first songs...."I Want To Hold Your Hand." An early song...."Dizzy Miss Lizzy." A good rock and roll song.
ALL THE BEATLES ARE GREAT !!!! groups of people think these albums are the best ever made! RUBBER SOUL/ REVOLVER/ SGT PEPPER 'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND/ LET IT BE /ABBEY ROAD - I THINK ABBEY ROAD IS THE BEST MYSELF!!
Dear Prudence is one of the Beatles most under rated songs!
Yes for sure.
Abbey Road is a masterpiece!
🎶🎶👍
Eleanor Rigby, I Want You and Taxman next please 😊
The Beatles were a phenomena, & so ahead of their time! This riff has been all over the place, but what is less known, is that Michael Jackson did a cover of this song, and was quite good....if you want a listen: ruclips.net/video/ubR9cXWkXv8/видео.html
I was still kinda young when they broke up. I think it was in 1970? I was only 11. Please listen /react to Paperback Writer. ✌️❤️
Paul is the usual bass player in the Beatles. However, John, George and Paul could play multiple instruments. John was the usuall rhythm guitarist but also played piano, bass, lead, acoustic guitars, and organ. George was the usual LEAD guitarist but could ALSO play bass if needed. He also played acoustic guitar, sitar, and ukulele and some piano. Besides his usual bass, Paul played lead guitar, acoustic guitar, piano, organ, ukulele and was also a very good drummer. Ringo played drums, percussion and could play a little bit piano. Stu Sutcliffe was their first bass player in the original band of John, Paul, George, Pete Best (on drums) which was before they were famous. Look up "STUART SUTCLIFFE" on line to learn more about his short life (he died of a brain hemorrhage at the age of 21)
Great reaction young man, check out Dear Prudence from the White LP from 1968
Have you heard the one where they're playing on the roof? "Don't let me down"! Thanks M!
Michael Jackson did a good cover of "Come Together" as well!
New fellow Canadian supporter and subscriber , Lord knows we need it!
Paul-bass guitar-George-Lead guitar and John rhythm guitar. stu sutcliffe was their first bass player when they were known as the Quarrymen-Paul replaced him when Stu opted for art college in 1959. stu would die the next year with a brain hemorhage.
LIVE version of "HEY JUDE" by the BEATLIES on the David Frost show. Its live, and it will show you right then and there how good they were.
I'll Follow The Sun.........Ticket To Ride.........We Can Work It Out
Stuart Sutcliffe was no longer in the band at the time of this recording. Paul McCartney was the bass player for all of The Beatles songs after Sutcliffe was removed from the band.
That’s a whole new rabbit hole lol
Nice!
Keyboards are played by the 5th Beatle, the one and only Billy Preston
I think the Beatles started exploring nonsense lyrics with "I Am The Walrus" ...? Earlier songs tended to be more clearly telling a story, but later on it became more of shuffling of lines that sounded good together.
Great reaction and nice headphones too!
Keep up the good work.
Generally Paul on bass John rhythm guitar & George lead guitar but not always.
I looked it up both on the actual album and on line and they both agreed that Paul McCartney played Bass on "Come Together"
Beatles: Revolution or Don't bring me Down (live on the rooftop)
Taxman❤
I am the walrus❤
Revolution ❤
A Day in the Life. Great reaction. ❤😊
The Beatles sold more than 2.3 BILLION albums, while earning 6 diamond, 24 multi-platinum, 39 platinum and 45 gold albums in the United States alone. They won 7 Grammy awards out of 23 nominations and had 35 top 10 songs (and 50 in the top 100). And they were always ever-evolving with each new album.
"Helter Skeler". Considered the first "Metal" song.
While My Guitar Gently Weeps
"Love Me Do" was their first release! If you start at the beginning and work your way through you can see how they progressed and how they influenced the world with music, hair and clothing styles!👌👌👍👍😁😁✌✌
FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If I Fell
This song is mostly a word salad
That sounds nice😊
Any
Wow, we've learned something new. Stu Sutcliffe played bass on Come Together!
There is no live version to "Come Together".
Spring is here. Best song to celebrate the season is “Here Comes the Sun.”
Great Reaction
Early years. It was mostly
Ringo Drums
Harrison Lead Guitar
Lennon Rythym Guitar
McCartney Bass.
While Ringo stuck to Drums and other percussion
The other 3 were very accomplished musicians and could play many instruments
McCartney played drums on a couple of tracks Harrison played Bass on others. Lennon, Mccarthy played piano /organ.
Harrison used keyboard to write a couple of his songs.
Also he introduced an Indian Zitar to some tracks
I think it is what makes them the greatest group ever. They were constant experimenting.
I Feel Fine. Younger Beatles.
Stu Sutcliffe left the Beatles in 1961 to focus on art. Sadly, he died in 1962 at age 21 from a ruptured aneurysm. He was John’s best friend in art school. There is a good movie about the early days that focuses on Stu and John’s friendship. It’s called Backbeat.
He wanted at least as much to focus on Astrid Kirchherr.
I was born in 1962. One in, one out.

This is a good mix of ELO
WITH SOME BEATLES
DAVID BOWIE MIXED IN pretty cool
Good stuff ✌🏼
A Day in the life
Muddy Waters, aka the father of Chicago Blues, one of the greats, 1940s I think. ✌️🌻
Some things are better on video. Show The Beatles on the Dick Cavett Show performing Hey Jude.
You googled Beatles bassist and the answer came back Stuart Sutcliffe? Huh? Was it a chronological response? Weird...
ALWAYS STUDIO FIRST but you can do anything from the rooftop concert like DONT LET ME DOWN/ GET BACK/ THE TWO OF US /ONE AFTER 909/ IVE GOT A FEELING/ CAUSE ITS WHAT WE HEARD ON THE ALBUM!
The FIRST THING I liked about your Beatles reaction video is U spared us the agony of having to see the animated cartoon someone THREW TOGETHER for Come Together.
Specifically, we didn't have to see U seeing that lame-ass animated cartoon, distracting U from fully HEARING -- and FEELING the Come together vibe of the song's "steam-of-consciousness" lyrics !!
It's a real pleasure to witness younger generations discover, grooving and coming together (no pun intended) over iconic music from an iconic band like The Beatles, who defined the cultural/musical/political zeitgeist in the USA (and other countries, I imagine) at the time.
FYI: Paul McCartney was and is a multi-instrumentalist, but his MAIN musical instrument for The Beatles was the bass guitar. John's was the rhythm guitar, George was "regular" guitar and , of course, Ringo (Richard Starkey) was their drummer.🙂
Contrary to popular belief, Stu Suttcliff wasn't the "5th Beatle" ---that honor goes to Producer George Martin. If there could be a 6th Beatle, U might argue it was Billy Preston, who George invited to play keyboards with the Fab Four during their final performance in public, on the roof of their studio in 1969.
Much success and joy in your magical, musical discoveries that lie ahead.

Sutcliffe was with them in the early 60’s when they played gigs in Hamburg. He died of a brain tumor in his early 20’s. Paul is the BASS MASTER! ❤
"Let it Be" next
Ringo Starr Drums, George Harrison Lead guitar, Paul McCartney Bass and John Lennon Rhythm Guitar. Most songs are John and/or Paul and some George.
Paul played bass, George played lead guitar and John played rhythm guitar.
Start with early Beatles; She Loves You. , This Boy, A Hard Day's Night, Help, Tic KJ et to Ride.... To be begin with. There are . There are lives performances for these songs.
Sutcliffe❤ was with them in the early 60’s when they played gigs in Hamburg. He died of a brain tumor in his early 20’s. Paul is the BASS MASTER! ❤
There’s a newer video of this with the boys in a dreamy cartoon. It’s perfect to the music. ❤
I remember my sister buying this 45 when it first came out. It was a double A side with George Harrison's 'Something' (I think). 'Something' and 'While my Guitar Gently Weeps' are probably my favourite Beatles tracks.
Paul McCartney plays bass, George Harrison plays lead guitar.
"Come Together " lovely sentiment 😍
NO this was 3 years into the drug lsd era that started with revolver in 1966 the song in particular was TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS the acid tests were going on and acid was legal til1967
Dude" Muddy Waters was one one of the most influential blues man-right up there with BB King, Albert King, Bo Diddley, Howlin Wolf, Ike Turner, Little Walter, Chuck Berry, Check 'em all out. The foundation of Rock and Roll. Like Bo Diddley once said: The blues had a baby, and they called it Rock and Roll,
Gosh, there are kids who don't know Paul McCartney played bass with The Beatles! I'm ancient history. Liked the video though.
Rooftop 'Don't Let Me Down', 'In My Life', I've got a Feeling', or early stuff like "help' and Hard Day's Night'. They evolved so much in 7 years, but you can't go wrong with anything they did! Thanks for this 👍
Paul generally plays bass, George Harrison plays lead guitar. But Paul can play everything.
You're doing middle period and late period Beatles, but no early Beatles. This could give you a distorted understanding of them. I'd advise listening to material in the first 3 albums. A few specific songs would be "I Saw Her Standing There," "Do You Want to Know a Secret," "It Won't Be Long," "All I've Got to Do," "All My Loving, "Don't Bother Me," "She Loves You," "I Want to Hold Your Hand," and "And I Lover Her."
Polling will give you the best information you can get from people born two generations after the Beatles career who have rather minimal familiarity with their work.
John Lennon's on both lead guitar and electric piano on this one. Paul McCartney is on bass. The lineup is pretty much this. John Lennon, rhythm guitar, Paul McCartney bass guitar, George Harrison lead guitar, Ringo Starr drums.
They were very versatile though, Paul was the most gifted musician of the four. Bass, rhythm guitar, lead guitar, keyboards and drums, he's one hell of a drummer. John Lennon, rhythm guitar lead guitar, keyboards and bass.
George Harrison lead guitar, rhythm guitar and could play a mean bass too.
Other ones from this Lp. "Oh Darling" a must listen by Paul.
"I Want You (She's So Heavy) by John and a killer track and two by George "Here Comes The Sun" which is the #1 played Beatles song on Spotify with 900 million plays and "Something" great track. When doing these you want the 2019 50th anniversary remixes of these from "Abbey Road". With "With Here Comes The Sun" there's a nice little video with it.
Dude, you have no clue about the rabbit hole you're entering.
You're gonna hear about every genre of music there is. Never try to put The Beatles in a box and say they were this. Na, na, na, they did it all. Wait until you dabble into their LSD period from 1966 to 1967, your mind is gonna get blown. Abbey Road was their last album recorded together released in September, 1969.
Enjoy your journey and you might want to take a quick pause a couple of times on each song because they have the strictest of all copyrights, it can get tricky, good luck.
One more so you can see them in action live and a lot of reactors do it is
"Hey Jude" Live on The David Frost Show 1968. Great sound and color video.
Peace ❤
