What I love about Slowbro is that he’s never a bad pick. If I’m laning with the all-too-often Gren/Cinder/Owl I throw on xp share. If I’m with a good early game attacker/all-rounder I throw on focus. If I’m with a support I throw on special specs and play it to carry.
That said I think Crustle and Umbreon are both defenders that can outperform Slowbro right now, but they’re less versatile. Goodra is also a real solid pick right now.
I feel like slowbro should be running Exp share regardless tbh. What’s ur third item? I feel like Focus/Slick Spoon/Exp Share are all u rly need
@@nickg5341 always slick spoon. If I’m playing carry then special specs and focus/choice specs/cookie. If I’m playing tank then focus and xp share/cookie. If I’m playing support then xp share and focus. Ever since curse items dropped I started playing focus less, but now fewer people seem to be running the curse items, so I’m going back to focus more.
As to why not xp share every game, it’s because solo queue teammates can be unreliable. Even at master 1600 I’ll have laning partners skip the first two bunnies because they don’t know how xp share works. Since then I’m less likely to run xp share on my defenders because I’m more likely going to have to carry a bit harder. If I played duos, trios, or fives, then I’d always run xp share on all my defenders (except maybe Blastoise).
@nickg5341 In solo que exp share is a wasted item. At 1700, people end up being lower leveled than I am even after I give them ALL of the exp in lane. Also, you are relying on randoms being good at last hitting which most players are pretty bad at. If you run telekinesis you need focus band. If you run amnesia you can go all attack items.
Slow Bro is such a good carry pokemon. Sp Specs, cookie, spoon all the way. Doing 70K+ damage as a tank is incredibly valuable to your team.
A good slowbro counters a good... anybody else, if one player is carrying a team by not being awful at the game, then slowbro will ruin their day
Slowbro on Cris Gameplay: VERY skilled.
Meanwhile on my Enemy's Slowbro while I was using Scyther Top, and easily beating it: "Something is wrong, I can feel it."

Criswow Criswow slowbro is really have a complex game mechanic 😂😂😂 man I still remember it.
Slowbro is the real defender. Other defenders feels squishy when compared to him. That's how defender should work giving hard time to attackers.

After getting two wins away from Masters on day 1 with only Comfey, I hit a hard long losing streak that almost dropped me to Vet. So I Slow Bro'd my way to Masters. Just an absolute beast.
I've been a slowbro main since I started playing unite and I don't know why but I've been having more success with the surf build lately. I use the exact build you showed at the beginning thinking I'm going to do a scald build game but I end up going surf more often then not and it just works lol
i was playing with my friends yesterday and and somehow my friend playing slowbro pulled up with a quadra on his own 💀
I feel like no matter what you underestimate how much dmg slowbro is gonna do when you fight it

Scald or Surf
Personally I would say that scald is the. But if you want to play more like a tank than I would recommend surf over scald.
Mewtwo X/Dodrio/Zacian are on top, so Scald seems more meta than ever.
Scald turns any physical attacker into dogwater
Surf for more cc
Scald is great for doing dps support ESP with curse item, surf is better for being a tank support and mobility! scald is safer bet overall but it depends on the team
Slowbro is my main and last season I change to mewteo Y cuz my team always waste it playing bad, now i switch to jungle or been the old secure slowbro on my backpack

I am running 6 green 6 white and 3 black as well! But, instead, I am using Tyranitar, Venusaur, Porygon2, Butterfree, Blissey, Venomoth, Lugia, Vileplume, Jumpluff, and Chansey

This season was nice for first day i got good teammated and reached to ultra class 1 but then i am on a lossing streak and went down to ultra class 4

Day 1 was great, went from vet 5 to ultra 5. After that all my matches alternated between a win and a loss. Until I got a winstreak going of 2-3 followed by a loss, rinse and repeat. Made it into master today tho.
Same bro. I had a 10-match winning streak and then had 15 consecutive losses. With strangely stupid teammates (I'm still the MVP of the losing team)
Hot take: Full Heal should be able to remove Slowbro Unite move from you. Kinda stupid that it doesn't.
I mean kinda makes sense but completely makes slow's unite useless for countering the meta because that's the main thing for slowbro you might hate it but it's probably the only Mon that's keeping the Broken Legendaries in some amount of control
@iiluminiac6217 That's the thing, slowbros unite move would not be useless. Since you can only take one battle item, you would have to think critically about which one to take over all the other ones, and that full heal change would give it an even more important role than it has now. Do you want full heal to remove cc? Or eject button for offensive or defensive plays? Maybe X speed to improve movement speed? Or goal getter to score faster and better. And if you're a mon like slowbro and see full heal you have to think critically on how to bait the full heals, what other tools from your teammates would force a full heal burn for you to abuse, and know when it's on cd. Right now, with unite moves like slowbro being unavoidable, you can just mindlessly point n click with insane reward with no thought process whatsoever. (1)
@iiluminiac6217 So for mons like zacian, they can choose to take eject button for gap closing offense, but could also take full heal to become immune to all cc which opens the door of baits and call outs for both sides. League of Legends has champions like Malzahar, whose ultimate works the same as Slowbro's, that have both sides play the mind game with their hard cc ults and enemy cleansing spells/items and has no issues with said interactions. Full heal as it is currently just makes slowbro unite move mindlessly oppressive. (2)

Slowbro is the best bc of its unite move and ability (oblivious). But if you nerf either, then it will struggle against any high dps team. The only thing about Slowbro that should be nerfed is scald’s burn damage.
