I think a comic artist did that. I think it was a Linked Universe coming and A Link to the past Link was just a hyper-muscular guy with pink hair and sunglasses.
Oh! My first Zelda! I never thought you were going to play the 2D classics, I'm so happy! Timeline wise, this one is after OoT in a universe where Link (hero of time) loses the fight against Ganon. Ganon then retrieves the full triforce and the backstory for this game happens. Leave the game on the title screen a bit to get some lore ❤
More lore: the reason the hero of time loses is because in this alternate timeline, Ganon gets the triforce of power AND wisdom. This leads to Ganon mopping the floor with Link and stealing the triforce of courage.
Thankfully the official timeline makes it clear that alternate headcanons are fair game, because I’m no fan of this downfall branch (or the inexplicable placement of Four Swords Adventures for that matter).
Also.... @CaptBurgerson has a series on Dungeon Design for the Zelda series as a whole. Currently going through A Link to the Past, so having this series go simultaneously would be *chef's kiss*
This game was the best Zelda game I’ve ever played until BOTW. I am so happy I get to see you playing it for the first time! I will be watching every single one of these videos from you. It does cause so much pain watching you just walk by all the pots without breaking them!
I play this playlist like once a week. I still laugh at his indignation in the sewer. "It's infested, Zelda!" And "Why?! Why do you have that in the castle, Zelda?!" Some of the funniest lines in this video. Hope you come back to this series Quin, it was your resolution after all...
Love to see more Binkus from Quin. Absolutely made my day. Small lore thing in case you are not just yanking our chain about being the Hero of Time. That title is only referring to the Link from Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. Each of the other incarnations of Link get their own title(Wind Waker Link is the Hero of Winds, BOTW Link is the Hero of the Wild, Skyward Sword Link is Hero of the Skies, etc).
yes!! continuing/adding to the list, twilight princess link is the hero of twilight, four swords adventures link(s) are/is the hero(es) of light, zelda 1/2 link is the hero of hyrule, a link between worlds link is the NEW hero of hyrule, minish cap link is the hero of minish, spirit tracks link is apparently the hero of trains (!?!), and that's all I can think of right now haha
My first Zelda and still one of the best. I’ve been waiting to see you play it and I actually screamed “YES!” when I saw the thumbnail. This makes me very happy, so absolutely keep going if you’re into it!
It's nice to see someone having a good time with this fun game. I bet you will enjoy it when you get the boots of dashing. There are a few magic spells to obtain as well.
After playing NES Zelda's as a kid when we got the SNES with Link to the past I was blown away with al the things Link could do and get. This game felt so big with so much to explore and find. Got some real good times with this game. Plus when you got Link up to full strength with al upgrades he breaks the game and becomes a god like power crushing all before him. Strongest Link of all Zelda games I think. Good story, great music and awesome gameplay!
Oh snap, playing what was my first ever LOZ game! And the one I consider to be the best one of them all! This...this is going to be GOOD! 12:44 Look closely at the wall
I think you open the map with select/the - button on switch. This game has so many memories for me. Years ago, my mom had the walkthrough of this game and my dad was playing it. So while he played, she gave him tips and cheered him on. And when I was old enough to play, they helped me with the same walkthrough. I fucking love this game!
This is, indeed, fantastic news! Please Quin, bless us with a full playthrough like you’ve done with the others. I must enjoy your adventures with this amazing game.
I only recently found this channel and started bingeing the play throughs. Today when I was playing Hades I called Hades ‘big man’. All I can say is I love your videos!
I really hope you make this a series! There's a couple of cool things in the village that you missed that will help greatly! This game only gets better as it goes, and I would absolutely treasure watching you go through this game! Thanks for all the awesome content!
After seeing you completing the hyrule compendium in BOTW I have been to I only need 40 more and they are all the animals I am excited to complete it love you vids!
I couldn't click this video fast enough. I am definitely one of the people that thinks this is the best 2d zelda game. I hope you enjoy it as much as we all did Quin!
Alttp is my favorite Zelda game! Remember in the second half of the game, you don't necessarily need to complete the dungeons in order, but you absolutely can if you want. Also, this game does take place after ocarina of time, but specifically in the timeline where link does not save the world. Although this Link is the Hero of Legend, the Hero of Time was killed in this timeline. This is also the same Link from the original Zelda, Zelda 2, and Link's Awakening, although those Zelda games come later in the timeline
This is my first Zelda game, so I've been waiting for you to play this ever since you said you'd give it a go. I'm so excited you've finally started it! Looking forward to more as we all await Tears of the Kingdom together!
HELL YEAH this is one of the best. i recently found you a few months ago and ive been absolutely loving watching you play through all the old zelda games i grew up with for the first time. very excited to see this one from the start! keep up the awesome videos!
I love your Zelda videos. You're commentary is just so funny and enjoyable to watch. I started playing botw again and learned some things from watching you- 1. Try to get amazingly goofy photos (I've got some real gems), and 2- it's ok if you forgot you don't have a paraglider at the beginning and jumped off a ledge. 3-dont sweat it if you die again, and again, and again, and again, and again...
The name Binkus rings out. It strikes fear into the hearts of men and monsters alike. Yet, in the distance, a faint but decidedly hearty cheer comes from QuinBoBin’s comment section.
Yes please make this a series. For a 2D entry, this game has SO many secrets and lots of backtracking to do in the overworld as you collect more dungeon items. The developers tried to fit as much content into this small version of Hyrule as possible.
Saw the thumbnail and got super excited! 4:49 Tell em Binkus! LOL (Made me laugh pretty hard, imagining a cutscene of that. Ahaha) It feels like the wise man wouldn't care to much about the stash, maybe he had no idea there was a bombable wall! LOL Have fun with the dungeon! Glad you also really like this game, would love to see more! Hope you have a good day/week!
Fave game of all time due to the nostalgia of discovering it as a youngster as my very first adventure game, with a map and everything! 🥰🙌😎 enjoyed the video, glad you’re having fun with it!
In the thousands of times I have played this game, I have never before heard the dialogue from the knight on top of the castle wall. What a terrifying thought. “All the other soldiers basically turned into mindless zombies. It’ll probably happen to me too, eventually.” Chilling.
Quinbobin, please make this a series! ALTTP was my childhood game and watching you play it made feel like it happy like I never thought I could be! Here's a tip: later in the game, you have the ability to get medallions, an invisibility cape, and an invincibility circle. These are completely optional except for 1 medallion. I really recommend picking them up cause they make the game a lot easier, though they are end game items.
ooohhh i’m excited you’re playing this! Would love to see you make a full series with this. Also Nintendo needs to bring pink haired Link back please lmao
This is immense I’m so psyched for this, the first Zelda I ever played way back in the Super NES days (yes I’m ancient… 😋) Please do continue this series 🙏🏼 it’s pretty tough tho so I’m glad you figured out how to block 😂
Nice! I love this one, to the point where I have most of it memorized! I just wanted to let you know, sometimes bombable walls aren't all that obvious. That room in the village with the 4 chests puzzle, it had a bombable wall, too.
I haven't watched it yet but I can't wait to- I haven't played the game but I did watch my brother play some of it. I've been looking forward to you playing this!
u can remove the controller buttons displayed at the bottom of the screen by going to the options of the snes main screen and selecting show controls in game
YES! This has been my favourite game in the zelda franchise and when I saw this on my homepage, the biggest grin went across my face! Great game choices ❤ Trust me, this game gets good- I've replayed it 10 times (no joke) just to experience this game again
I'd LOVE to see more! This is one of my favorite Zelda games! Also, to answer your question, this happens after Ocarina of Time- when it was released, Ocarina of Time was actually intended to be the direct prequel to this one.
A Link to the Past was the first videogame I ever played. Played it on my 6th birthday, after getting it as a present from my Grandma. I am 27 this year and this game still remains to be my absolute most favourite videogame of all time. To say this game had an impact on me, would very much be an understatement.
I’ve only ever played alittle bit of Link to the Past don’t have any nostalgia to it but only heard it’s good. Only other “experience” is that I played it’s sequel a link between worlds which I enjoyed a lot
I didn’t know if he was going to play this game but I’m glad he is because this was one of my favorites growing up and I can see awesome content coming up so keep up the good work 😊

Quin, next time you go through town, you missed a bombable wall at 12:20 in the old thieves' hideout. Since you got the treasure it isn't likely you'd go back down to that basement otherwise.
Hey, Quin! Glad to see you playing this game - and finally using the almighty Boomerang lol It's such an OP weapon, and you almost never used it when you played Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and Twilight Princess.

Maybe
I agree with this.
@@QuinBoBin pls quin game good
I would love that.
@@dotz616 That part
I like to think that when this Link grows up, he’s just gonna be this buff man with lovely pink hair
Or, in an alternate universe
Jack Horner
A link between worlds!? (Yes I know those aren’t the same link)
I love that image!
I think a comic artist did that. I think it was a Linked Universe coming and A Link to the past Link was just a hyper-muscular guy with pink hair and sunglasses.
it’d be beautiful
Always love to see Quin playing another Zelda game.
Binkus is back again baby!!!
"My movements? Impeccable. My skills? Unmatched. My ability to do long division? As embarrassing as ever. I am the hero." Same man. Same.
fun fact: this small man is the man who was in link's awakening (Wind Fish is iconic), oracle of ages, and oracle of seasons (which I would recommend)
I'm finally glad that you're actually playing this after so many requests from your audience.
Oh! My first Zelda!
